Eco's POV

I never knew I have high blood pressure until I arrived at this party. It started the moment I stepped down the car and faced the banner which has that stupid lady and my husband's face on it. They're smiling widely. Just by seeing it, I knew it's an edited photo but still seeing my husband standing close to another person which isn't me with a big smile annoyed me. As we went in, we had no choice but to sit with Eve. This girl is really something. Not only she put up a banner of her photo with that of my husband, she also put both their names on the name card of the table. She has guts, I must admire that but nothing can come near to my guts. By the end of the party, if I don't teach her a lesson I'm not Eco Walker.

"I didn't really expect you'll bring your husband, Sky. I thought he was just joking." Eve lady says while chuckling as she puts her hand on Sky's shoulder in the process.

She's trying to make it look casual but it's obvious she's doing it wantedly. I glare at her actions. Before I could do anything, Sky immediately removes her hand from his shoulder. I look at him to find him feeling uncomfortable. He's creating space between him and her by moving towards me which makes me realise he didn't remove her hand jut because I'll get angry but because he's genuinely not liking it. Now that I know it's not just me that's not liking her attitude but my baby too, I really need to step up and start. I shouldn't wait any longer. Making my mind, I turn and look at her with a big fake smile.

"Well.. I have no habit of lying when I say or do something, even if it falls under the category of joking, miss." I counter to her previous statement.

At my words, her face expressions changes from smiling to frowing.

She don't say anything to me after that and just talks with Sky, well she talks while he looks bored. Some time passes by and soon the party starts. It's such a boring business party where they talk about your company first, then about the project they did and at the end about it's success as they point out the people who made it successfully. In here which obviously mean Sky and Eve. They are invited upon the stage to speak and taking the chance, Eve drags Sky onto the stage. They speak, thanking and all shit before returning back to the table. As the procedure gets over, we then get served with food and drinks.

"Would you like some drinks?" A waiter comes and serves us food first and then asks us about drinks.

"Um..yeah." Eve nods on behalf of all of us without actually knowing our opinions.

The waiter nods and leaves. We start eating as we wait for the drinks. Since we're at the party, I didn't want to disturb Sky so I started eating on my own but my bandaged hand makes it difficult for me to hold the spoon. When I eat, half of the food spills.

"Eat slowly, Eco. No one is gonna take your food away." Eve comments with a chuckle.

"It's not like I'm starving for food. It's because my hand isn't in good condition, miss." I reply, why will I sit and take her comments?

With a frown, I put the spoon back in the plate and grab the tissue before cleaning the mess I made. When I go to take the spoon again, Sky stops me and instead he takes the spoon. I look up at him.

"I'll help you. Why didn't you remind me? Wasn't I the one who's helping you to eat all this while?" He says as he scoups spoonful of food before bringing it close to my mouth.

I get taken back and stare at him for a moment before coming out of my trance. A smile forms automatically and I look at Eve to see her mouth wide open in shock which then turns to anger as she looks at me in the eyes. I smirk as I open my mouth and get feeded by Sky. Girl, take that now! Throughout the dinner, Sky feeds me as he does at home and I enjoy it even more while certain someone fume in anger.

"Excuse me, I'll be back in a minute." Eve gets up and excuses herself in the middle of the dinner.

Her secretary nods with a smile while Sky don't give any response but somehow my senses tell me she's upto something so I do the best thing that I can and decide to follow her.

"Baby, I'll go to the washroom." I tell Sky and leave my seat.

I follow that evil girl and see her walking to the back side of the kitchen and pantry. She stops when she sees the waiter who asked us about the drinks before.

"Table name Eve and Sky, are our drinks ready?" She queries the waiter.

"Yes, madam. Sorry for the delay. They're ready now and I'm about to bring them to you." He replies while holding the tray.

"I need a favour from you." She says and pulls out a small packet from her hand purse, "put this powder in one of the drink and while giving the drinks make sure to give this to the guy wearing pink suit." She whispers after checking her sides to see if there's anything watching them.

"I-I I'm sorry, madam. I can't do that." The waiter rejects while shaking his head in nervous.

"Even if I offer money in return?" She baits as she pulls out money from her bag.

The waiter glances at her before his eyes lands on the plenty cash of money that she's holding. He stares a moment long before finally looking up at her. He places the tray on the table next to him and takes the money. Eve smirks as she succeed in making the guy agree. Flipping the money like the pages of a book, he then keeps it his pant pocket before taking the small packet from Eve. He opens it and pours it in the glass which contained white drink. The powder disappeared in the liquid as if it's not there to begin with. The waiter then carries the tray as he gets ready to move. Eve leaves and walks back to our table, the waiter trailing behind her. It's me who finally goes back to the table.

"Eco, are you okay?" Sky asks me when I finally appear in front of him.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I reply and take my chair as I sit next to him while watching the waiter and Eve.

Eve is sitting in her seat and eating her food, not even glancing at the waiter for a moment, completely unbothered as if she just didn't plot something against me. The waiter starts placing the drinks for us and he keeps the white drink glass in front of me.

"Stop!" I call him out as I tell him to stop when he starts going.

Sky gets confused as he was about to feed me. The waiter stops and turns back to us. Eve too has a confused stare while her secretary looks lost.

"I don't want this drink. Can you bring me something else." I simply tell him.

The waiter, upon my request, glances at Eve who now shows the signs of nervousness. Eve very gently shakes her head, indicating the waiter not to accept my request. She's thinking no one is noticing their little interaction, well, bad news for her. The cunning guy Eco Walker here can even see the minute details.

"Um...s-sir, t-these drinks are especially prepared for you people. It's according to the menu. They taste good, sir." The waiter shutters as he tries to convince me to drink.

"So what? Shouldn't you guys give priority to what the customer actually wants? I don't know about the menu. I need a change of drink." I sternly say.

The waiter don't know what to say anymore.

"Eco, you can have mine. I'll take yours instead." Sky bugs in with the most unwanted help I could ever ask for.

Does this guy want to ruin my plan of exposing this evil girl?

"No! I don't like it so either I or you'll drink it." I stop him.

"Eco, stop being stubborn!" Sky whisper yells at me.

I maintain my calm and try not to fight with him with the way he's behaving with me. Boy, he don't even know what's going on.

"Yeah, Eco. It's just a drink. Not a big deal. The waiter is saying it tastes good, right? Then why don't you first taste it and even after that you don't like it, then exchange it." Eve suggests with a simple.

I smile at her while watching her. She just said what I wanted for her to say. So easy to actually bring her into her own trap.

"Really? Then how about Miss Eve taste the drink instead of me?" I call her out.

The smiles leaves her face and she turns pale. I smirk internally, this is just the beginning, girl. Just wait and watch, the shit is about to go down any moment now.
