Its not easy to trust
I pulled myself together after wiping away the last tear. I've mustered my all to finding out the truth. I could understand the reason of pretending to love Ms Haruno. He wants to appear normal, straight and not-seeing-a-student. But if he's pretending to love me... I don't see a valid motive or reason.
I just don't.
I left the restroom and cleared my throat, and started a short journey to find my teacher. After a few minutes of wandering, I finally found him near the coffee vending machine. As I walked over calmly, he decided which coffee he wanted and pressed for a black coffee. While he was observing the machine doing it's thing, he quickly diverted his attention to me when he heard my footsteps.
He looked even more surprised. "Naruto, I've been looking all over for you." He muttered with a smile of relief, "Are you alright? You left my class in such a rush." He continued. The machine made a soft ding when it was done and as Sasuke took his black coffee, I replied, "I need to talk to you. Privately." My voice shook, but I stayed firm and determined.
He nodded and we made our way to his office. He closed the door behind him and sat on his black leather chair, sipping on his black coffee. "What's wrong?" He finally asked, with a concerned expression.
"I want to ask you something. Important." I mumbled. What am I doing? Would he even tell me the truth if I asked anyway? Can he really reassure me?
"Well, shoot." He continued sipping on his coffee but his eyes glued on me.
"Uh.. What's.. What's your.. Relationship between you and..Ms Haruno?" I just let the words spilled out, I couldn't contain it any longer. I just had to clear my doubts.
He let out a small chuckle, "Heh. And that's your reason for running out of my class?"
"Take me seriously, Sasuke.." I looked at him, pained.
He took his last sip of black coffee and placed it down his desk before walking over to me. "My beloved, you have to trust me." His breath strongly smelled of the coffee as he inched closer. "How can I trust you? I just saw her kiss you on the cheek earlier today!" I blurted out.
He seemed shocked before looking confused. "Ah, I remember now." His expression softened. "She did peck me on the cheek, yes. But I can assure you, nothing is between us. It's all one sided."
"And how do I know if that's true?" I mumbled softly and sadly, my heart still feeling heavy.
"Then you'll just have to trust me." Mr Uchiha took my hand and kissed it.
Trust.
It's not easy to trust.
