Personality:

Karson is the definition of a golden boy. He's smart, athletic, dependable, and kind to just about everyone. Though his competitive nature can get the better of him, since in the heat of the moment he has a bit of a temper. Guilt practically kills him if he ends up saying anything too bad or hitting anyone though.

When it comes to his little sister, Karson is pretty much putty. Even though they have such a massive age gap, or likely more because of it, Karson adores her and will do literally anything she wants. There aren't many other people who have that power over him, so it's obvious to everyone that he had a massive soft spot for her.

Backstory:

Karson's birth father was never part of the equation, but that didn't bother him much. He didn't even know the man existed until he was a lot older, since his mother never brought him up.

Since his mother had him while she was in high school still, Karson ended up spending most of his days with his grandparents causing him to become increasingly close with them.

So when his mother suddenly got married not too long after graduation and moved out. Karson was only three, but he very clearly remembers how upset he was. After all, he didn't even meet his new step father until a few weeks until the wedding and they'd moved pretty far away from his grandparents. The entire thing was just a lot for him.

That isn't to say his step father was terrible or they didn't get along. Karson just didn't like all the sudden changes going on, like most three year olds. His step father never treated the male like anything less than his son, and some might say he even spoiled the kid quite a bit.

The older he got, the more he felt pressured to do well in everything. His step father's friend's children all seemed to excel at one thing or another, and Karson saw himself as being perfectly average. So, not wanting to be the worst in any way, Karson dedicated pretty much all of his free time to studying and sports. Any sport he could be in, Karson asked his parents to sign him up for. When one season ended, he'd jump straight into the next one.

Around middle school, he'd started to notice something pretty important about himself. He had no attraction to girls what so ever, but man did he like boys. That absolutely terrified him, more than words could describe. His mother had become a devout Christian since marrying his step father, and obviously the man was much the same. He'd sat in church listening to how homosexuality was a sin, and he was pretty sure both his parents believed that even if they didn't bring it up.

So, Karason ignores his feelings. When he's asked about his love life, he just laughs and says he'd rather just focus on school and sports. For now that seems to be working for him.

His little sister Olive was born just three years so at the end of his freshman year. Any free time he's left himself is pretty much just spent fawning over her.
