About half an hour later when Nikita and Neetu Di were talking amongst themselves Sidharth received a phone call from the doctor ......

Sid : Hello .....

Doctor : Sidharth I have already reached your apartment building.....

Sid : Oh ...... okay .... please wait for me ..... I'll be there in a minute .....

Doctor : Okay .....

He declined the call and stood up from his seat .....

Sid : I'll go and bring the doctor .....

Neetu Di : Sure .... go ahead .....

About 10 minutes later Sidharth entered the room with the doctor following him .....

Doctor : Let's me check on the patient.....

Nikita : Sure .... please

She showed towards Shehnaaz and gave him space to inspect the patient thoroughly......

Checking all the possibilities and stuff he shook his head and picked up his briefcase before taking out a syringe and an ampule ........

Just after injecting the medicine on Shehnaaz's arm he turned around and looked at the others present in the room ......

Doctor : She is mentally exhausted and lost her conscious for the same reason......

Doctor : Please give her proper food and water .....

Neetu Di : When will she wake up ...?

Doctor : Well .... I have injected some medicine and hopefully she'll be awake within an hour or two ......

Nikita : Thank you Doctor.....

Doctor : Mention Not ....

The doctor got up from his place and moved towards the door .....

Sid : Let me show you the way ......

Both of them left the room while both Neetu Di and Nikita once again started to chat on various issues ......

It was around 6:30 pm when Shehnaaz started to get back her consciousness..... She moved her fingers one by one trying to feel her body strength just before she blinked her eyes for the first time in hours ......

She moved her head to the other side trying to get rid of her blurry vision ...... Slowly she moved her hand and brought it near her face and caressed it .....

Looking out of the window she looked at the dark outside , understanding that it's already evening .... She raised herself from the bed and sat up on it ......

She was looking around herself to find her phone when Neetu Di entered inside through the door .....

Neetu Di : Hey there ...... you are awake huh ?

Sana : Hmm...

Neetu Di : How are you feeling ?

Sana : A lot better actually.....

Neetu Di : I'm glad to hear that ......

Neetu Di : By the way , the kids are here and want to spend time with you. .....

Sana : Thank you Di .... I needed to stop thinking for a while .......

Neetu Di : I know .......

Neetu Di : Believe me ...... You are going to be okay .....

Sana : Thank you .....( she nodded her head while showing her gratitude towards the older female )

Neetu Di : Rest for a bit ..... I'll send the cuties here ......

Sana : Okay .......

Neetu Di went out of the room and called the kids to go inside while she leaves to her apartment for a while.........

Taking a deep breath Shehnaaz looked out of the window while her mind once again started to think how did her life get to this point where she was now getting accused of killing a little girl ..... How ironic huh after all she herself was a pediatrician and loved kids to the moon and back then how come she wanted to kill someone like that .....?

She couldn't think what would happen to her careers after all these accusations ...... She knew one way or the other that her private life was going to end sooner than she has already anticipated....... She could laugh at her fate that wasn't she the one who told the others how beautiful her married life was going to be .......

Before she could actually think further , her ears caught the voice of the kids she has started to love just like her own in the last few months ......

Akshat : Mami !

Sana : I'm here baby ......

Akshat : I missed you .....

Sana : I missed you too my angel ......

Riya : I missed you as well Mami ......

Sana : My cutie ..... I missed you too ......

Both the kids got up on the bed and sat on her sides ......

Akshat : Why are you laying down Mami .....?

Sana : I have an headache love ......

Riya : Then you should rest nah ?

Sana : I'm okay baccha ...... I was actually sleep till now .....

Akshat : That's true ......

Sana : Yeah ....... ( she smiled at both of them and kissed on their forehead )

Akshat : You know Mami my exams are about to start ......

Sana : Really ?

Akshat : Hmm..... ( he nodded his head )

Sana : Then we should get prepared for it right ?

Akshat : Yes ......

Riya : Me too ..... My exams are going to start soon ........

Sana : In that case we'll start to prepare from tomorrow okay ?

Riya : That's good ......

Riya : You know Mami we went to have lunch with dad today ...... .

Sana : Really ?

Akshat : Yes ...... we ate so many dishes ......

Riya : I wish we could eat that daily .......

The three of them continued to talk for a while before Shehnaaz realized that it's quite late and the kids must be hungry ......

Sana : Come on babies , let's go and have sone food ......

Along with her little helpers Shehnaaz moved towards the kitchen area of her apartment .......

Sana : Go and sit down while I get the food ready

With a smile on her face she continued to microwave the food when suddenly she heard a loud bang .........

She was shocked and placed her palm on her chest to calm herself when she heard the terrifying cry .....

Akshat : Mami !

Shehnaaz kept the bowl she was holding in her hand with a thud before running towards the livingroom ........

Sana : Akshu my baby........

Her eyes widened the moment she saw the blood dripping from Akshats head ........

She ran and sat down beside the little boy before picking him up on her lap ......

Riya : Ma.....mami ...... ( her voice faltered )

Sana : Baccha slowly go to my room and bring my phone .......

Riya : Ye...ah

She jogged towards the bedroom to get her phone while Shehnaaz got up from her place carrying Akshat in her arms and took him towards the kitchen .......

Akshat : I...it..... huh...hurts .....

Sana : I know my love ...... I know .......

Sana : Please calm down a little ......

She took out the the ice pack from her fridge and placed it on his head slowly .....

Akshat : Ahhaaannnn.....

Sana : I'm so sorry love .....

Riya : Mami .....

She turned towards the terrified little girl and took her phone from her hand before Dialing Neetu Di .....

Sana : Hello Di .....

Neetu Di : Yes Sana .....

Sana : Please come to my hospital with Jiju and Sidhart along with you .....

Neetu Di : Wh.....

Sana : Akshat has hurt himself ....... I think he has a fracture ...... I'm taking him to the hospital ........

Declining the call she ran towards her bedroom and picked up a clean pair of dupatta to tie it on Akshat's head while she takes him to the hospital ......

She was about to go towards the main entrance of her apartment with the injured boy in her arms and a little girl on tow when the door to her apartment opened with a bang ......

Neetu Di : Where's Riya ....?

Riya : Masi......

Neetu Di : Yes my love..... Don't cry .......

Neetu Di : Let's go to tend your brother okay ......

Shehnaaz rushed towards the elevator and walked inside while still murmuring sweet words to the little one while he cried his heart out in pain ......

As soon as the elevator door opened she went towards her car and got inside without waiting for the others .........

She placed the little one in her lap and wore the seat belt before driving the car out of the parking area .......

Neetu Di : Sana you go ...... We'll be there in just few minutes .......

She heard her shout at the top of her lungs while Shehnaaz just nod her head and drove past them towards the exit ........

Leaving from Shehnaaz apartment around 5 in the evening Sidharth walked towards the elevator and finally reached his apartment a few minutes later ....

He entered inside the living area just to find his mother sitting there and watching some TV series .....

Rita Ma : So you are finally here ?

Sid : Yes Ma .....

Rita Ma : So what happened?

Sid : Doctor said she passed out due to stress.....

Rita Ma : Oh .....

She turned her head towards the TV while Sidharth moved towards hisroom ......

He went inside his walk in closet and took out a luggage to start his packing .......

He placed the bag on his bed and went to bring his clothes one after another before placing it inside the bag .....

The process of going inside the closet , taking out the clothes and keeping it inside the luggage continued for a long time when suddenly he heard his phone was ringing ......

He picked up the phone and received the call before connecting his airpods......

Sid : What happened ?

Shivangi : You finally noticed that your wife was at fault right ?

Sid : What do you want ....?

Shivangi : Nothing for myself , my love ....... I just wanted you to be happy ......

Shivangi : Your wife is cheating on you and you say you are happy ?

He cut the call and went back doing what he was working on initially ....... As soon as he had finished packing his luggage for a month long work trip to Kuwait he placed it inside his closet and went to his study ........

Sitting down on his large leather wingback chair , he looked out of the transom window overlooking the entire city ...... The blinking of the lights all along the city made him feel a little relaxed just when his mind once again went towards the words he had heard just a while ago .....

His mind started to contemplate the words trying to figure out whether it was true or not. ....... He was about to brush off the accusation Shivangi had done on Shehnaaz when he was once again reminded that whatever Shivangi had said earlier were proved to be absolutely true then it must be the same case now ........

Thinking that he was being cheated on for months by a woman who always claimed to love him even before they accidentally got married made him feel very much unwanted .......

Sid : Did she just want my connection all this while ?

Hie mind twirled with the occurance of infinite possibilities of what can actually be the reality when suddenly he got a call......

Picking up his phone from the ottoman he saw the caller Id of the person ....... Seeing his sister was calling him that too after 9 pm made him feel a little uneasy .........

He received the call and held the phone near his ear ......

Neetu Di : Hello Sid.....

Sid : Yeah di .....

Neetu Di : Please come downstairs fast ...... bring your phone and wallet to along with you ......

Sid : Why ?

Neetu Di : Akshat has hurt himself severely...... we need to go to hospital immediately......

Hearing that something had happened to his nephew , he jumped out of his seat and ran towards his bedroom ....... Picking up his wallet from the night stand he rushed out of the apartment without telling even a word to his mother .......

He ran towards the elevator and got inside it as fast as he could ....... The moment he came inside the parking area he found his brother in law was standing there with his sister and his niece .......

His eyes felt on the terrified face of the little girl , whose face was red due to crying all this while ...... Seeing the condition of that little child his heart ached with fear rushing throughout his body ........

He sprinted towards his car and got inside the vehicle before assisting the others to do the same and starting to drive ......

Neetu Di : Take us to the hospital where Sana works ......

Nodding his head without a word he straight away drove towards the hospital he had become so familiar with in the last few months ......

Sid : Who took him there ....?

Abhinav : Shehnaaz did ......

Sid : Oh .....

Neetu Di : Baby..... can you please tell what happened?

Riya : Masi ......

Neetu Di : Yes Riya .....

Riya : We we...re going t...to have di...dinner .....

Neetu Di : Then .....

Riya : Ma... Mami was hea....heating u...up the food w...while we were si...sitting in the livingroom ......

Neetu Di : Okay .....

Riya : Akshu a...and I were wat...watching cartoon .....

Before the little girl could actually finish her story Sidharth cut her in between and said .....

Sid : We are here ......

Abhinav : Let's go ......

They got out of the car and rushed inside the hospital ......

Abhinav took the initiative and walked towards the reception and asked ......

Abhinav : Miss can you please help us .....

Receptionist: Yes sir please do ask for anything......

Abhinav : I think just a few minutes earlier a patient named Akshat Sharma was admitted here .....

Receptionist : Uh ... The child Dr Shehnaaz brought here .....

Abhinav : Yes yes ......

Receptionist : You are ?

Abhinav: We are his family members ..... I'm the child's uncle .....

Receptionist : Oh okay .....

Abhinav : Where is he ...?

Receptionist : OT number 2 ...... it's on the 3rd floor .....

Abhinav : Okay ..... Thank you ......

Saying so he came back towards the others .....

Sid : Where are they ?

Abhinav : She said Akshu is in OT number 2.......

Sid : Let's go ......

They speed walked towards the elevator and reached the floor just in record time before moving towards the operation theater.......

Just as they were coming near to the room they saw Shehnaaz standing there near the door .......

Neetu Di rushed towards the younger woman who seemed to be crying badly .......

Neetu Di : Shehnaaz .......

Hearing the voice Shehnaaz turned towards her while her tears still kept falling from her eyes ......

Neetu Di : What happened ?

Sana : He has a little fracture on his skull .....

Abhinav : Oh God......! ( He exclaimed while walking towards the girls with a crying Riya in his arm )

Sana : Riya baby .....

The little girl turned towards her and forwarded her arms towards Shehnaaz ......

Sana : Yes mumma ..... come here .......( she took the child in her embrace )

Riya : Ma...Mami.... akshu .....?

Sana : He's alright my love ...... everything is going to be fine .....

While the others were deep inside the conversation Sidharth on the other hand went and informed about Akshat to Raghav ......

All the adults were sitting in the waiting area just outside the OT while Riya sat there on Shehnaaz's lap ......

She was cuddling the little girl and caressing her hair while Neetu Di kept talking with the boys ......

They were waiting for the doctor to come outside the room and inform them about the condition of their child when suddenly they heard some hurried footsteps coming towards them ......

All the people looked towards the arriving individuals in the waiting area ....... As soon as they looked the way from where the footsteps could be head they say Raghav and Preeti Di coming towards them ........

Raghav : What happened to Akshat ?

Sid : He has got a little fracture on his skull .....

Preeti Di : Oh.... my baby ..... ( she cried our loudly )

Raghav : How did this happen ?

Neetu Di : He fell down from the sofa and hurt his head on the center table .......

Preeti Di : What was he doing ?

Abhinav : Apparently trying to do a backflip.......

Raghav : What ?

Sid : Yeah ..... he saw it on cartoon .....

Preeti Di : Where were they?

Neetu Di : In Sana's apartment ( she said without hiding anything from her )

Preeti Di : Where were the others ?

Sid : In their own place .....

Preeti Di : Where was the queen during that time ? ( She asked sarcastically)

Sana : In the kitchen ......

Hearing her reply Preeti Di didn't even wait for a minute before walking towards her and ......

Preeti Di : Stay away from my kids ....!

Her head moved to the side after the massive impact when her face came in contact with the elder woman's hand .......

Shehnaaz felt a burning sensation on her right cheek the very next moment ....... She placed a hand on her face and looked towards Preeti Di ......

Sana : I'm sorry ......... ( that's all she could actually say )

She felt the guilt of not acting appropriately...... She has always loved these two kids since the day she arrived in the Sidharth's life but what did she do ...?

She hurt the little kid she loved the most ..... That little 5 year old was actually a ball of sunshine and quite an intelligent fellow ...... She always loved the feeling when the little guy would occasionally mistake and call him Ma instead of Mami......

She always felt as if he was actually his mother and gave birth to him ...... She didn't want something like this to actually happen to him ......

Tears fell from her eyes while she looked down and stared at the ground while the others stood there numb .....

About half an hour later the door leading to the operation theater (OT) opened and the doctor came out from inside ......

Doctor : Shehnaaz ...... ?

Hearing the doctor calling her She stood up from her seat while initial she was sitting quite far from the others ...... She didn't want Preeti Di to get more hyper inside the hospital premises .....

Walking towards the doctor , she stood infront of him .....

Doctor : The child is fine , thank you that you iced and could stop the bleeding before you arrived ......

She nodded her head and looked at him blankly to let him finish his words .....

Doctor : We wrapped him up and it's a minor fracture so don't worry too much .......

Doctor : We'll move him to his room within half an hour .........

Sana : When will he wake up ......?

Doctor : We have given medicine ...... He won't wake up before morning ......

Sana : Okay .....

Doctor : We'll keep him for observation for the next 24 hours .....m

Sana : Sure .......

The doctor went away leaving all the others .....

Abhinav : I think Neetu should go back home with Riya .....

Neetu Di : Yeah .....

Sid : Abhinav bhai take both Preeti and Neetu Di with you .....

Preeti Di : I'm not leaving my child and going back home......

Raghav : I don't think that staying here will actually help the situation ......

Raghav : Abhinav...... take them home ......

Abhinav nodded his head and stood up from his place before taking Sidharth's car keys and leading the woman towards the elevator .....

For the rest of the night Sidharth along with Raghav sat there in the waiting room talking amongst themselves while Shehnaaaz stayed in a corner and blankly stared at the while hospital wall........

It was passed mightnight when Sidharth's phone rang ......

He received the call and moved out of the waiting area .....

Shivangi : What happened baby ........ you seemed to be restless?

Sid : Akshat is in the hospital .....

Shivangi : What.....! What happened to him ....?

Sid : He fractured his head ......

Shivangi : Oh good lord ........ please don't tell that Shehnaaaz was at fault this time too ......?

Sid : How did you know ?

Shivangi : Nothing just an intuition....... but also the fact that women tend to know others of their same gender......

Sid : I guess you are right ......

Shivangi : That manipulative bítch ......

He cut the call and came back to the waiting area where he sat down just beside Raghav who was listening to music . .........

It was around 10 in the morning when Shehnaaz had come back to her apartment just after Akshat got his consciousness back and she had quietly left from the hospital premises .....

She came back and took a shower before changing into a different pair of salwar suit ......

Shehnaaz was about to go and get herself a glass of water from the kitchen when the door bell rang ......

She walked towards the door reluctantly and opened it just to find the police standing there .......

Police officer : Miss Shehnaaz ....?

Shehnaaz : Yeah.....

Police officer : YOU ARE UNDER ARREST ......
