Recap of the characters/lore/whatever this is (copy paste with a few edits cause I'm not rewriting the whole text):

There are four tribes of faerie on Earth; Petalbaskets, Leafbloods, Woodhearts and Fruitvines. Petalbaskets are flowers faeries, Leafbloods are mainly herb faeries, Woodhearts are tree faeries and Fruitvines have all the fruits and veggies.

The members of each tribe, which is what the groups of faeries are called, have varying powers based on their plant and tribe. i. e. A poppy faerie would be able to make people sleepy, and also have small control over flowers.

The tribes have a few basic rules, which most everyone dutifully obey.

   1. No humans on tribe land (the humans have to obey this one too, and they're pretty good at it)
   2. No romantic relationships with faeries of other tribes.
   3. If you turn against nature, you will *blow up noises* burn in the fiery pits of Mordor!

So yeah, three straightforward rules (then of course there are basic laws like don't kill others)

Rule 2 is broken occasionally, because duh *shrieks in warriors fanatic*. The children that are made from these relationships (if there are any) are called shrooms. Shrooms are mushroom faeries and looked down upon by everyone else. They're also a total minority, there are only around 9000 of them, because most faeries follow the rules.

What 99.99% of Earth's population (I'm not doing math y'all, this probably ain't accurate) doesn't know is that shrooms are actually as powerful, if not more, than purebred faeries.
