Niko's POV

"So, Mr. Jay, what was that word you told Aiesha in the restaurant about the bet? And, say it loud and clear enough that Tatianna's parents can hear!!"

"I-I said it was a harmless bet," He nervously said. What a punk!

Pandora walked over to him and punched him right in the mouth. "You and your little friends thought it was harmless making fun of my daughter's skin?!!! How dare you!! She is in the hospital fighting for her life!! And, don't anyone of you say sorry because I don't want to hear it!!!" Then, she went down the line and smacked every one of them.

Now, it was Jarvis' turn. "Tatianna has always been self-conscious about her skin because of people like you and your little crew!! We talked her out of some of the things she wanted to do to lighten her skin - one of them being bleaching her skin. But you seven idiots went too far. When she wakes up, because she will, you made it worse for anyone else who wants to show her how much she is loved!!!"

Aiesha took her turn too. "Tatianna is the only sibling I have! I hate each and every one of you for what you did to my sister! I knew something was wrong with you because not once did you kiss her or even want to touch her. Tatianna could have already been in a relationship with Niko, who loves her to the moon and back. But like the gentleman he is, he thought Tatianna was happy and she was. Now I wish he did break up that sham of a relationship you had with my sister. None of you will see that $20,000 you bet because that is going towards' my sister's medical expenses! So, before you perish, you will be coughing up $20,000 each! And, I want it in cash!"

"So, here is how it is going to go. We are going to take a field trip to the bank. Each one of you is going to get $20,000 and put it in a briefcase. Then, pass it on to Aiesha so she can set up a bank account. But the first field trip is to the hospital because you are going to see what your darn bet has done to Tatianna. I am going to warn you-you will be watched and a device will be strapped to you. So, if you even try to escape, the device will be pressed, and you will not like the feeling it will give you. It's a little device that I have been secretly working on at my company."

My bodyguards strapped the devices to each one of them. It's a small device that looks like a phone. Once each device was strapped on, Andras and Demetrios untied the ropes. "Your lives depend on whether Tatianna lives or dies! Now, follow the bodyguards out to the SUV's you will be riding in."

Two different brands of SUV's were parked out front - a black Escalade, along with a black and blue Lincoln Navigator.

Matti and Aiesha got in their Range Rover. Pandora, Jarvis, and I got in my Cullinan. Then, we all drove off to the hospital.

I parked my truck in Tatianna's spot. Matti and Aiesha parked close to us. The other vehicles found three parking spaces right next to each other. Once everyone was out of the vehicles, we made our way to the receptionist.

"Hi, we need seven visitor badges. Tatianna's friends have come to visit her." That made me feel nauseous saying that. But, I had to so they can see the damage they have done with that freaking bet. The receptionist gave them all badges, along with one for me, Matti, Aiesha, Pandora, and Jarvis. Then, we made our way to the private waiting room.

"Aiesha, you take the two girls with you." They left the waiting room. Jay and that wicked girlfriend of his are going with me.

20 minutes, later Aiesha came back. Both of those girls came back with phony tears. "Spare us with the tears, or I will have those devices pushed." They think I am playing. An electric shock so strong will cause them to drop in less than 20 seconds. You all are probably wondering why I created something like that. Well, guess what? I can and I did.

Jarvis went with the rest of the guys.

"You two are going with me."

20 minutes later, Jarvis came back with the 3 idiots. And, they had the nerve to have tears falling from their eyes. "Oh, spare me the dramatics. Make sure you have your $20,000 in place. We will have to wait until the bank is open on Monday. Now, you two follow me." My fingers are itching to press the trigger for their devices. I wish one of them would try it.

We entered Tatianna's room. Both idiots mouths were wide open. "You see what your harmless freaking bet did to her?!!! You see the pain that Tatianna is going through because of your dang bet?!!! Tatianna's medical expenses are going to be way more than what you seven are paying up. So, you two are going to pay more than $20,000. So, one, you both are dishing out $20K. Second, you are going to sell everything you own - house, car, whatever, sell it! Oh, and I am the only one who can take those devices off, so don't try anything funny. Now, get out and start walking back to the waiting room."

I am going to milk them for all the money I can for Tatianna's care. Then I will pay the rest because she is going to need therapy and a home nurse. I want the best for her and will make sure she gets it. Before I left her room, I walked over to her bed. "Please get well soon so that I can love you and treat you like the queen I know you are." I kissed her forehead and caressed her cheeks.

After leaving Tatianna's room, I went back to the waiting room with a change of heart.

"So, now that all of you have seen the damage, you all are going to increase your donation to Tatianna. Whatever money you have saved, consider it Tatianna's donation. Sell your house, cars, and whatever else you have because you will no longer need it. You will have two weeks to sell it. And, if you don't the devices will go off. Also, remember you are constantly being watched, so if you say one word or if I see a hint of nervousness out of your mouths, I have no problem zapping you to death. And, the best part is no one will know that the shock is coming from the devices."

I am not a multi-billionaire for no reason. I didn't say the change of heart would be a good one. I am going to squeeze every dime I can out of them.

"Niko, my parents and I are going to stay here with Tati. I can't stand being around them anymore."

I went to give Aiesha a hug. "It's okay, Aiesha. I'll come to the hospital tomorrow. Stay positive for me, okay?"

Through her tears, Aiesha said, "Okay. Thank you, Niko for caring so much about us. You're the brother that I wish I had."

"You're welcome, Aiesha. You're my family. Matti, are you going to stay?"

"Yeah, I am going to stay."

"Okay. I will see you all tomorrow. As for the seven of you, start walking to the elevators. You're going back to your lovely home."

The elevator was big enough for everyone, so we made our way back to the lobby. Then, we gave the badges back to the receptionist and walked outside to the trucks.

The seven idiots got back in the Escalade and Navigators. I followed behind.

After a short ride, we pulled up to the house. I didn't get out. Once I saw that they were all in the house, I motioned for Andras to come over to my SUV.

"I want you to put one of the security team on detail for each one of them to make sure they go to the bank. Also, to make sure they sell their things like I said. I have a company to run and I will be spending time at the hospital."

"Sure thing, Niko. Demetrios and I will keep you posted."

"Thanks, Andras." Then, I pulled off to make my way home.

Narrator's POV

As soon as Niko reached his house, he parked his truck and went inside to immediately take a shower. After his shower, he went straight to bed.

The next morning, Niko worked out in his gym, took a shower and got dressed to travel to the hospital.

For the next two weeks, Niko's routine was work in the morning and going to the hospital to give Tatianna's family a break.

Jarvis finally gave Niko his blessing to pursue Tatianna. From his actions in recent weeks, Jarvis knows Niko will never hurt Tatianna.

There was still no sign of Tatianna waking up from her coma. But, her condition improved enough for her to be moved out of the ICU. She was moved to a private room on a regular floor.

Jay and his crew did exactly what Niko told them to do. He was disappointed he could not set off one of the devices. With the quick sales of their houses and cars, as well as the original $20K apiece, Tatianna received well over $2 million dollars, which plenty was of money and more for her expenses.

Tatianna had quite a list of visitors - friends, family from Jamaica, New York, and even Niko's grandmother. She adores Aiesha and Tatianna.

Niko's POV

"Tati, please wake up soon. Everyone misses you so much. I love you, Tatianna Reid, and miss you so much. Please wake up so I can show you."

I put Tatianna's hand in mine and caressed it.

After a few minutes, I felt a soft squeeze of my hand. Could it be?! I raised my head up off the bed and saw that Tatianna was struggling to keep her eyes open. I couldn't help but shed a few tears. I don't just cry over anybody. The last time was when my grandfather passed away.

I heard someone entering Tatianna's room.

"Yuri, Tatianna is struggling to open her eyes."

"That's great news! I'll go get Doctor Lawrence." She then ran out of the room.

"Tati, can you hear me?"

She actually nodded her head to say yes. "You are going to be okay. And, I will make sure to get you the best care. Count on it."

She nodded her head again to say yes. Within a few minutes, Doctor Lawrence and a few nurses rushed into the room. I got up from my chair and stepped out of the room to tell everyone the good news.

"Good news everyone, Tatianna just opened her eyes. Doctor Lawrence is in there now checking to make sure she is okay."

Pandora and Aiesha shed a few tears. "Thank goodness. My baby is awake."

20 minutes later, Doctor Lawrence entered the waiting room. "Tatianna is being wheeled up to get x-rays and an MRI scan. I will come back and let you all know the results of her scan and x-rays."

"Thank you, Doctor Lawrence," Jarvis says.

"Would anyone like anything from the cafeteria?"

"I'll go with you, Niko," Matti and Aiesha answered. So, the three of us make our way downstairs.

"Niko, with dad's help, we found an uncharted island with no sign of life to dump Jay and the idiots on. There is no way they will escape off the island. That way no blood will be on your hands. They will grow so tired of each other they won't know what to do. The island is in the South Pacific near Tonga."

"Excellent. I need the coordinates to the island, then I can call my pilot. They will never hurt Tatianna or anyone else again."

"Niko and Matti, I want to come."

"I'll get you the coordinates by tomorrow."

"Okay. Thanks, Matti. And, Aiesha, I'll see you on the plane."

After we finished eating our dinner, we headed back upstairs.

Narrator's POV

The x-rays and MRI scan showed no signs of permanent damage to Tatianna's brain. And, Doctor Lawrence saw so much improvement that Tatianna no longer needs the breathing machine. Her speech was a little slow but will improve over time. She still has a long way to go before she can be released from the hospital.

As promised, Sunday morning Matti forwarded Niko the coordinates. Then, Niko talked to his pilot for a flight time to the uninhabited island.

Once the pilot gave Niko the flight time, he phoned Andras to tell him to have the bettors ready and waiting at the airport.

Niko's POV

"Matti and Aiesha, after the drop-off, we are going to stay at my house in Tahiti for a day so the plane can be refueled, and we can get some rest. Then, on Wednesday, we will fly back to California."

"Okay."

"Niko, the plane will be landing shortly. Please have everyone put on their seat belts. I'll tell the rest," My flight attendant, Georgios announces.

"Thank you." Matti, Aeisha, and I put on our seat belts. Once the seat belt sign went off, the plane landed in an open field.

Everyone then stepped off the plane. "Let's do this quickly. Aiesha would you like to do the honors?"

"You seven will no longer hurt or humiliate my sister or anyone else again. Goodbye and good riddance. I hope you enjoy your stay at your new home. Oh, and just so you know, you idiots are the only ones on this island." Aiesha then waves and gets back on the plane.

"What does she mean our new home?"

"Just like Aiesha said, when this plane leaves, you idiots are not getting on it. There is no escaping from this island. Also, you have no access to cell service or any other comforts of home. So, I suggest you back up some more before you get injured by the plane. Like I told you, in the beginning, you messed with my family, and I don't appreciate it. And, if you try anything funny, I will not hesitate to trigger your devices. Matti, Andras, and Demetrios get on the plane. Goodbye, losers."

"You can't do this!!!" They all screamed as I walked aboard the plane. I turned around after taking the last step.

"Yes, I can because I just did. Goodbye!" I joined the rest on the plane. I just had to do it, so I pressed the button for Jay Thomas' device and watched him get zapped. I can't stand him. Then, we took off for my house in Tahiti.

My pursuit of Tatianna Reid starts now.
