Chapter 8

"So you're saying he said he was apart of a prophecy as well?"

"Yeah! How can that be possible?"

"Harry, England isn't the only country allowed to have prophecies. Don't be so fond of yourself. I'm off to do some research, it would be brilliant to find out what prophecy he was a part of."

"Ok, I'm off to find Ron."

*****

Harry found Ron peacefully sitting in the Gryffindor common room reading the Daily Prophet.

"Hey Ron, how are you doing?"

"Ok, I guess."

"Have you finished your Potions essay?"

"No, not yet," Ron said slowly rising from his seat.

"Oh, do you want to do it together?"

"Not really, I have to go." said Ron dismissively.

"Where?"

"To Mr Jackson, see ya at dinner." Ron put his paper down and left through the picture frame.

Of course, this wouldn't be the case.

Harry felt a little rude following Ron, but he was worried for him. He also didn't entirely trust Jackson either. So he whipped out the magical cloak that he had received many years ago, the same cloak that had uncovered the great truth and got them into mighty trouble.

And now he's using it on Ron.

He almost felt a bit guilty, using it on one their own. But Harry's curiosity got the better of him. He almost felt a little suspicious of the whole situation.

So he followed Ron very carefully. Making sure of not getting in his way, all the way to Jackson's office where he was there reading a book in a different language.

"Ah, Ron! There you are. Come sit down" The Professor said warmly, gesturing to a seat at the other side of his desk.

"Yeah I'm here, what book are you reading?" Ron replied curiously while sitting down.

"History of Hogwarts. My girlfriend recommended it. Well she didn't recommend it, she's kind of forcing me- but hey! Same thing!"

"What language is that?" said Ron confused.

"Greek. My first language, I find it easier to read than English. My father's Greek and that was the first language I was taught."

"Make sense."

"So what was it you wanted to talk about Ronald."

Ron paused for a moment "Well I heard what you said to Harry, and um well, I don't know - "

"Your brother."

Ron looked down to his feet. He shuffled in his chair and rubbed his eye "Yeah."

"Let me tell you a story, about an amazing friend of mine. He lost his only sister when he was 10. He blamed me for it which didn't make it any easier. He was devastated, distraught. His sister was his whole world. He fell into depression and hated everyone."

"That sounds terrible."

"But you know he was able to get past it? How he pushed through? By focusing on the people that love him, and focusing on what he does have and the things are still around him. Don't get me wrong he still struggles from day to day but, he's getting better. If you stay in the past and hold grudges then you are never going to move forward. And moving forward is the only way you can get past this stage in your life. Trust me, many people have sacrificed their life for me, any the only way I move forward is by focusing what they did for me and what I have in the present. So, Ron. Focus on Hermione, focus on Harry, focus on your family. And more importantly remember that your brother died for you because he loved you so much. Don't ever forget that."

"Thank you, Professor."

"Your brother died a hero's death. He's in a good place because of that." Percy smiled, "Now remember, I'm always here to talk to you Ron. Even if some of you are still dubious of me." He said staring directly at Harry. Harry felt a shiver go down his spine.

"Dubious?"

"Suspicious, untrustworthy. I am smarter than I look Ron."

"Well, I'll see you in class Jackson."

"Will do, keep up the good work,"Jackson said confidently. Ron smiled graciously and left.

Jackson sat back upright and stared at the invisible Harry.

"Now Harry Potter, if I ever see you eavesdropping one more time, you're going to be out of here quicker than you can say Polybotes. Get out."

Harry left without a word.
