Jessica's POV:
Beaming it's intense rays, the sun almost blinds me. Light glows from underneath the door; it's time to get up.
I can't help but nuzzle myself into a cocoon, wrapped in the warmth of my duvet. I shut my eyes, reluctant to move.
Daylight would have to work overtime peeling back my thickened eyelids. I shift my body in an attempt to pull my sit up, but to no avail.
Sleep drags me backward too easily- I think I burn more calories in my sleep rather than during the day.
The bed is warm, and the duvet is cosy, yet my feet are forced to swing out of the bed.
My eyes open again and I know they must stay open. I have slept far too long. Awakening is like an act of surrender- eventually, I'm forced to pry my eyes open.
Of course, expect no less of me on a typical Monday morning.

I rush towards the bus-stop in panic before I miss my bus. My beige military coat flys behind me alongside my avalanche of dark chocolate waves of hair, astray with the chilly breeze. I'm careful not to get my brand new, beige trainers of pristine condition dirty amongst the small puddles of water, pooling on the uneven ground.
The air was clearing of early mist and the long morning shadows were distinct- until soon a plethora of excitement and chaos fills the once gloomy air.
7 'o clock in the morning and the streets are already astir. On the way I see people already suited up, on their way to work. Some remain in their expensive cars, whilst some ride motorcycles - could they get any louder? The rest of the lot wait for their buses by the road, bored out of their skull amidst the pandemonium of a Monday morning- I, being one of them.
I never take the time to carefully observe my surroundings when heading to school, funny how I do it at the most irrelevant of times when I'm actually running late.
At that exact moment, my bus pulls up alongside the curb.
I make it just in time, whipping my Oyster (bus) card out of my satchel, and swiftly sliding it across the scanner before taking a seat next to someone.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" I say out of breath.
The man wearing a mahogany brown fedora, has perfect ringlets of sleek hair faultlessly dangling just below his visage, hiding the features behind it.
I watch him gulp before responding to my silly question, his adams apple moving.
"Of course not, please do," He says, finally turning his face to meet mine. He sends forth to me a dazzling, unforgettable smile that'll have you in a trance for hours on end- which is exactly what I'm in. There and then I felt my body flush warm. The urge to introduce myself was tempting, but I let the urge pass.
I swallow harshly, completely mesmerised, freezing right then and there. So rudely staring.
How can one be so--so good looking?
From his glistening doe-like eyes, a-flicker with interest over an affable grin, followed by his small and slender nose which complemented his prominent cheekbones, that appeared to be chiselled by some sort of master craftsman! They were of such sharp contours, he was God-like.
His lightly-tanned skin glowing in all his defined places, heavenly. My eyes avert towards his oh so perfectly carved jaw, that's one heck of a sharp, precise jawline too. From his pink plump lips so kissable, to the cutest little cleft chin. I feel like I'm melting into a puddle of weakness just by looking at this stunning work of art, chiselled to perfection.
A sudden jerk of the bus alerts me, causing me to suddenly break away from my stare, how long was I staring? Jesus, that is very embarrassing.
Maybe, just maybe, he didn't notice. Who am I kidding he was looking at me like I was a freak! I'm probably exaggerating my stare, it's not even that big of a deal. I just don't want to be seen as rude or disrespectful, but I'll never see him again, so it doesn't matter. Besides, he's most likely twice my age, I'm guessing.
Glaring out the window, I notice we have reached the school. I force myself out my seat and proceed out the doors. I take a moment to breath in the refreshing air and treasure it. Monday's.
A struggle to awaken for, but a fresh start once ready.
Instead of heading straight inside amongst the heaps of teenagers, I head to the bench by the corner shop, where I meet my friends before first period.
"Yo, Jess!" Dillon shouts, motioning me to come over.
Dillon is one of my best friends, he's part of our 'squad', you could say.
"Hey Dil, whatup?"
"Cool cool, have you heard about a new teacher coming in today?"
"No, really?" I reply, it doesn't really surprise me, we always have new substitutes and people coming in for job applications.
"Yeah, apparently it's a proper teacher that can teach several subjects. I bet it's a foxy woman!"
"Oh Dillon, shutup! Like that's ever gonna happen, you dumbo. Anyway, we will find out sooner or later. I'm gonna head inside now."
"Alright, see you at lunch," He waves as we part ways, walking inside the school.
I quickly head to my locker and get all the books I need for today.
Lazily dragging my feet across with me, I walk to my form room for registration. I swing open the door to the class, almost everyone being present- still some are yet to come.
I make my way to my seat, middle column, second row. I'm quite close to the front, which is quite annoying. Over here, you always get picked on for questions, being the first people in sight of the teachers view.
Fortunately, to my right, I have my best friend Olivia, to keep me somewhat entertained throughout the boringness of lessons.
All I hear around me are whispers about a new teacher, I really don't see what the big fiasco is, we always used to have new teachers coming in. What makes this time any different?

Olivia arrives and slides into her chair and obviously, whispers the exact same thing in my ear. If there's one girl to discover the latest gossip first, it has to be her.
"There's a new teacher!" She beams.
"Already heard about it, what's the big deal?" I shrug my shoulders.
"Apparently, he's real hot!" She squeals, nudging my arm.
"So it's a male. Either way, you can't even flirt with him, it's not even allowed," I say, slouching back into my seat. I honestly couldn't care less if a new teacher walked right in.
Thereupon the face I'd never expect to see, confidently saunters into the classroom. I find myself almost completely slipping into the deep, dark depths of my seat, begging to be invisible.
