His Priority

THE DAY WAS ALREADY cloudy, showing that it was time to go home. The sound of car hones started to be heard as the city was busy because there were a plethora of people rushed to go home.

The noon was busy and the road was full with cars. Looking up at the sun that was about to close its eyes, Taehyung smiled genuinely.

"Beautiful, " he spoke to himself, letting himself to enjoy the scenery for a few moment while waiting for Eunna at the car park.

Everyone had head home already. No cars were seen at the car park anymore. Taehyung was wondering; what took her so long to finish her work?

Speaking out of the devil, Eunna made her appearance in front of him. "Okay, I'm done," she sighed as she opened the car door and made herself into the passenger seat; right beside Taehyung.

It was weird to see her to be that tired. Her face looked exhausted.

"Are you okay? " Taehyung asked, his eyes were focus on the only figure in front of him. She didn't look like herself, like she used to be. For the whole day, she was acting like someone else.

She sighed. She knows Taehyung was just concerned about her. "I'm absolutely fine. Just a bit tired. No worries, " she answered with a small smile on her tired face. Even her smile was different.

Taehyung knew something was wrong but he didn't want to ask her on the spot because he knew she wasn't in the mood.

"Alright then, "

Once they reached home, Eunna made her way straight into her room without saying a word to Taehyung. As he said, she acted differently today.

Maybe the words they threw at her was too harsh. Eunna is still new in this world. In Taehyung's world.

As a person with fame and power, he always needs to bear harsh words that was thrown to him. Complaints, judgement and criticizes are normal to him; since the first day he decided to be a CEO.

Having rivals, opponents and haters in his daily life isn't weird or strange anymore. He had been used to it.

But opposite to Eunna, she wasn't used to this kind of environment. And Taehyung couldn't do anything with that. He can't make her accept his lifestyle at once because she was still new. But soon, he believes she'll be okay.

His slender fingers reached his tablet, scrolling down the pictures in the album. He was bored and Eunna wasn't in the mood to talk to him. So he decided to flashback some old memories by going through the album.

There were some pics of him wearing school uniform. Messy hair, small eyes and a food was all over his shirt. He looked hilarious and terrible. Looking at his childhood pictures can somehow disguise himself.

He continued scrolling down to find a pic of Yeontan when he was still a puppy. He wanted to flashback to the first day he adopted him.

But instead of finding what he wanted, his eyes caught a picture that he didn't want to see. He thought he had delete it but he didn't. The picture was still there.

There, in the picture, was a beautiful girl standing beside him. His ex.

Just by looking at the picture was enough to remind him of the memories they had together. All sweet and bitter. He never forget what they had went through.

But there was something that forced him to forget about her. Something significant that gave a big impact on him. It's either something sweet or harsh.

"I wish I could turn back the time so we didn't have to go through all those hard moment. I hope we never met. So that I won't fall for you and becoming a foolish like I used to, " he turned off the tablet and threw it away from his sight.

He sighed and stared out of the space, trying to find calm inside him. Suddenly, his phone beeped.

Meet me at the bridge near your house. I need to see you. Now. It's urgent.

Taehyung

Jihyun, the girl I met at the party last week had sent a text to me, saying that she needed to see me. To be true, I didn't want to meet her. Really.

It had no use to meet her anyway. She only knows how to waste my time. But— even I had set in mind that I didn't want to meet her, the little feelings inside me kept telling that I needed to give her a chance.

Maybe it was really an urgent? Who knows, right? I sighed, knowing that I was going to regret my decision if I go.

But my feelings was controlling my brain and it forced me to go and meet her. Nothing would happen, I thought to myself.

I reached the bridge she asked me to meet her at. I got out from my car and looked around to find her figure.

But there was no sign of her. I couldn't find her either. Where could she be? Sighing, I walked around the bridge casually with my hands shoved into my pockets. I was still wearing my suit since I didn't have much time to change.

I looked at the small lake in front of me and looked at my reflection that was reflected by the water. I looked like me. Finally.

"Taehyung! " I heard someone was calling my name numerous times. I blinked my eyes then turned to my right; where the sound came.

There, was Jihyun who was walking towards me with a big smile on her face. Her face reaction was different. I had never seen it before. I furrowed my eyebrows when I noticed she wasn't walking straight.

"There you are, " she laughed while showing me a bottle of wine. She was drunk.

I heaved a sigh and shook my head in disbelief. I thought she really had something important to tell me. But seemed like I got lied to. "Drunk again, hm? " I crossed my arms, eyes were rolled in annoyance.

She laughed out of nowhere and stumbled her feet to me. She even brought two glasses with her. I had no idea what she was thinking before getting herself drunk like this.

"Hey, Tae, " she looked at me, her eyes were one opened. Her smile never leave her face. She poured a glass of wine then handed it to me. "Here, have some. Let's have fun, " she hiccuped but still wanted to continue getting drunk.

I stared down at the glass she was holding and didn't respond to what she had say. She realized that I was ignoring her. "Come on, don't tell me you don't drink. " she pushed my chest slightly, almost had herself fell on me but I stopped her.

"Jihyun, you're drunk. You should go home," I told her. But as expected, she refused to listen to me. "You're turning me down? " she pouted, her hands let the wine in her grip go.

"You're not the Taehyung I used to know. Back then, when we were in highschool, you would always come to the bar with Jimin just to join us drinking. Have you forget? " she asked. She then picked the glass up and handed it to me.

But suddenly, she stumbled and accidentally spilled the wine all over my suit. She whined, "Oops, Jihyun has done something bad again. "

I took the glass away from her and scoffed. "Listen, I'm not the same person you know years ago. I changed. I'm better. If you want to find a company to play with you, then you can ask Jimin if he wants to hang out with you. Okay? " I shook my head. "You're really wasting my time. " I gritted my teeth and turned away. I was about to leave her but suddenly, I heard a crying sound.

She cried.

I heaved a sigh then turned back to look at her. She had start sobbing and she looked like she was cold.

"This girl, " I rolled my eyes and took my blazer off then wrapped it around her body. "Don't leave me, " her voice was shaking, pleading me to stay with her.

I sighed. "Don't worry, I'll call a cab to send you home. But I can't stay with you. I've my priority now. And it's not you. "

Taehyung reached home at 9.52 p.m.. He didn't realize he had spent more than 1 hour outside. Time flies so fast.

He was tired and stink. He hates how bad he smelled at the moment. Lazily, he went to the front door to get into the house.

"You're home, " Eunna who was eating some potato chips spoke, her mouth was full with chips. She would always been hungry at this time.

Taehyung stopped his steps, a sudden feeling of scared hunted him at this time. He wasn't scared of her. But he was scared that she might know that he went out with Jihyun.

He gulped, "Yeah. I went out for awhile, " he responded to her.

"Awhile? You were gone when I got down and I can even watch the whole episode of a drama. Look at the time now. It's almost 10 p.m. " she said strictly.

"Where did you go, though? " she asked, standing up from the couch and went straight to his way. Taehyung was surprised seeing her coming to him.

Carefully standing up in front of her, he tried to make sure that he didn't make any sudden movement, but what Taehyung seemed to worry the most was Eunna hearing his heart that was beating very fast in nervousness. He could almost feel it in his fingertips.

He didn't know why he was so nervous.

Standing in front of him, Eunna crossed her arms and looked at him from head to toe as if she was trying to find something. He gulped.

He thought it was over when Eunna finally moved her eyes away from him. But suddenly, she began to speak and it forced Taehyung to feel nerves again.

"Your clothes is wet. And— smells bad, " she commented, leaning closer to him to sniff the smell. She backed off and looked up at him with wide eyes of hers. "It smells like alcohol. Are you drunk? You went to the bar? Alone? " she insisted to shot him with those questions.

He bit his lower lip, trying to find a good excuse to escape from getting caught. "I'm not drunk. Don't worry. " he smiled.

"I went to a park nearby. To release some tension. But suddenly a man came to me and suddenly spilled his wine on my clothes. I don't drink, remember? " he asked.

"I know you don't drink. But last time, you were drunk. I can't imagine what had happen to you that made you to drink. It must be something really bad, right? " Eunna asked. Actually, she had been wanting to ask him this question awhile ago.

"You mean that day? " he asked.

"Yeah, " she nodded innocently. "I had to take care of you, you know? It was so exhausting and—" she stopped her words. She suddenly remembered that she slept with him that day. They slept in the same room, together. It was embarrassing to be remembered.

"And what? Why'd you stop? " he asked.

Her face was burning up, tinting to a light pink as she remembered the moment Taehyung pulled her onto the bed. It was still fresh in her memory.

"Nothing. Yes. Nothing. " she said. She turned away and took her cell phone that was placed on the couch. "It's already late. I'm going to sleep now. Goodbye. " she said while running up to her bedroom.

It was weird. "What happened to her? " Taehyung asked, didn't have any clue on what was going on.
