Transferred

The girl put on her shoes as rushed towards her car, starting the engine. Knowing that she was going to be late, she speeded as fast as she could to reach her work place on time. She didn't want to destroy her never late to work record since she just got hired 5 months ago.

But her plan didn't go as she wished. She was stuck at the jammed traffic light for 10 minutes. She hit the steering wheel and groaned alone. "I should've woke up earlier this morning! " she nagged to herself

8.35 a.m.

Rushing towards her department level, Eunna pressed the open button on the lift and walked in. While waiting for the moment she reached on the 9th floor, she raised up her hands and prayed that her boss won't scold her.

The lift door opened, showing that she had reach her floor. Her feet slowly made its movement to walk out from the lift as she headed to the manager room to report her attendance.

She was too afraid to even open the door as the image of her getting scolded kept replaying on her mind. But the longer she waited, the later she would report herself. So to not wasting anyone's time, she braved herself to push the doorknob and got in.

"Goodmorning " she spoke while taking out her worker card.

The man that was on the computer turned up to look at her and glanced at his grey watch. He raised an eyebrow and scoffed. "You're 35 minutes late. What happened? " he asked as his voice was the only sound sources in the silent room. So it makes his voice sounded louder even he didn't shout.

Eunna gulped down her saliva as she looked down at where her shoes were. "I'm sorry, I woke up late today " she gave and excuse to try her luck. The manager rolled his eyes and sighed deeply. "That's a cliche answer, Eunna. Everyone uses it when they're late. Can you find another excuse? " he waited.

"But I really woke up late! I slept at 2 a.m. last night and didn't hear that my alarm was ringing. " she pleaded

The man didn't seem to accept her excuse so he asked her to meet the CEO in his room. She didn't get it why she needed to meet the CEO when it was her very first time late. It was unfair.

But what she had heard before, the CEO is a pervert as he loves to flirt with any young workers. He's already 52 years old. Yet, he still wants to flirt with young women. Plus, she noticed that the old creepy man had been staring at her for many times even when she's minding her own business. She's absolutely not comfortable with his actions but what she could do? She's working in his company and her future depends on him.

Nervously, she made her way to the chairman room and stopped when she reached there. She would raise her hand too many times but then moved it back down, feeling afraid to knock against the door she was now facing. Totally like a fool, she told herself everything was going to be okay and nothing will happens. Well, it was her first time being late. It's impossible the boss will fired her up, right? I guess so.

Heaving a deep sigh, she finally got the urge to knock the door and waited for response from the person inside. "Come in, " a voice of an old man said.

She pushed the door and walked into the air conditioner office where she found the old man was already facing her.

"Mr Jung, " she spoke as she looked at the old crinkled face.

"Mr Han asked me to come to your office because— I'm late for work. " she bit her lower lip and waited for him to speak. The old man looked at her up and down as she could say he was trying to look at her revealed thigh skin. He cleared his throat then acted like nothing happened.

"It's okay, don't worry. I'm not going to get mad. " he talked with a pen in his hand while he went through the files on the desk. Eunna felt relieved when she heard that. At least she can still work there.

"Since today is the last day you're working here." he continued his sentence after he finished looking at all the files. She gasped and enlarged her eyes due to the shocking statement.

"Wait, what? But— why? It's my first time " she tried to protest his decision. But the old man seemed like he didn't care about it.

"I'm not going to fired you. You're transferred to another company in Seoul. They need a few workers and you're one of them " he added.

Eunna was surprised by the sudden news. "But Sir, Seoul is too far from my house. Besides, I have no family there. I'm surely need to find a rent house and it costs way much expensive. " she stated. She used to live in Seoul when she was still a student so she knows how much it would cost to live in the city.

"Well, don't worry though. The company is going to give you an apartment to live. You don't have to pay for the rent. It's totally free. "

Eunna stopped. "Besides, they offer you a higher salary. Then why not, right? "

Duh, that's crazy, she thought.

She sighed and looked up at the man in front her. "Alright then, let me think first. "

"That's crazy, how can a big company want to hire me that easy though? " Eunna threw herself onto the couch as she stared at the white ceiling.

"I'm still new. Besides, I just got graduated" she sighed.

"They'll provide me accommodation and a higher salary. I might be crazy if I reject the offer. Besides, I don't want to work with that creepy fat old man anymore. Yulk " she rolled her eyes and took her phone on the table. She then opened the browser to dig deeper about the company she was going to work at if she accepted the offer.

So many infos and news appeared when she typed the company's name. "Wow, they're pretty famous " she amazed.

She scrolled down through the internet and found a lot of interesting and got more excited about the company. "It's more way better than the company I'm working now" she whispered to herself.

"I'm surely need to take this opportunity because it only comes once in a life time" she said and went straight to her room to sign the agreement letter.

"So, here's the apartment you're going to stay in. " a guy said to Eunna as he handed her the key. The guy wasn't so tall but he's taller than Eunna. But for boys, he's in the short category since his height was only 174 cm.

Eunna looked at him and grinned. "Alright, thank you for touring with me. " she thanked him. The boy then looked back at her and nodded. "Yeah, no problem. That's my job anyway. " he smiled gummily.

"Oh, I just realized something. I didn't even ask you name for the whole two hours. How careless I am " she chuckled softly. "So what's your name? "

The boy who was still standing in front her blinked and answered "Min Yoongi. You can call me Yoongi or Yoongless " he stated and Eunna raised an eyebrow.

"Yoongless? What does it means? " she asked curiously.

"Oh well, my friends call me that. But whatever. Just call me Yoongi. They're crazy" he rolled his eyes and shoved his hands into his pants pockets. Eunna shrugged, "Okay then, Yoongi " she said his name to make it familiar.

"My name is Eunna. " Eunna said before Yoongi could ask her. He mouthed an O and clapped his hands. "You can read my mind. That's cool" he gave her a thumbs up.

Eunna giggled at his actions and ended the conversation by biding a goodbyes to each other. Then, she started to touring her new home. She had been waiting for this moment since yesterday.

The house was bigger than she thought. It has two rooms, two toilets, comfortable living room and a big kitchen. It was quite big for someone who lives alone.

"Do they think I want to bring my whole family here? It's kinds big for me though " she talked to herself then made her way to her room.

Since it has two rooms, then she had to choice which one was going to be her room. She entered the first room and looked around. It was aqua colored and has a king sized bed. She loves the room but the colour was too bright for her. So she moved to the next room where she found more attractive.

The room was soft peach colored, has a toilet in it and a good view. It's just the bed wasn't the king size but it was large enough to fix two people on it. Yet, she finds the room was comfortable and good enough for her.

"I can't wait to start working tomorrow. I need to be early! Yes. I need to! " she said as she determined to sleep early tonight.
