Chapter 9: One bad thing after another

Amethist woke up, stretching her arms across the bed. She stepped out of the bed, realizing she was in someone else's bedroom- then Baldi walked in wearing a robe. She screamed, Baldi, jumping against the wall. She threw a pillow, him catching it. "Good morning to you too I guess- I made breakfast," Baldi stated, walking over and setting the pillow on the bed.

"What happened?! What am I doing at your place?! Is this your bed?! Did we fu-"

"Whoa whoa whoa! First? We did not- do anything- Second? You're the one that invaded my space- you went nuts and almost got my jeans off against my will-"

"Wait- I came at you? H-How? Why?" Amethist asked, stunned out of dear life.

"Yeah- I guess I thought you weren't 'not sexual', and you weren't gonna come at me- I was wrong- very wrong," Baldi mumbled, pulling out clothes from the closet. He blushed suddenly, glancing at the door.

"What?" Amethist asked, noticing his face go from a peachy to a bright red.

"U-um... you mind?" He asked shyly.

"Wh- *gasp* Oh! Sorry!" Amethist exclaimed, covering her face with a pillow, her cheeks turning pink.

"U-um- thank you..." He whispered, shyly untying his robe- glancing over at Amethist- making sure she really isn't looking before letting the robe drop. Even though he knew she wouldn't look- he continued to behave bashfull. As he undid his folded clothes, Amethist peeked over the pillow, wondering if he was finished- her eyes immediately landing on his staff. Her body heats up as she bit her lip. She hid her face again- her hands shaking as her heart began to pound. She glanced over the pillow- to see Baldi hanging the robe, his face still red. "Get ready- we're gonna go to school soon- we're gonna walk, so if we go now- we can show early,"

Amethist crawled out of bed, her hair messy. She shook her head- her hair falling into place. "That's better," she cooed, flipping her hair.

"Ready?" Baldi chuckled.

"My bag?"

"On the counter downstairs," He replied.

"Then yes," Amethist smiled, both heading downstairs.

•••♪♥♪•••

When they got downstairs, the first thing they saw was Tiffany putting Amethist's homework through a shredder. She gasped, glaring at Baldi's oldest daughter with pure anger. "My homework! I'm sorry Baldi! I'll redo it!" She apologized, snatching her bag from Tiffany.

"No no no! It's ok- I'm the one that took my eyes off of her, she's just trying to piss you off."

"Well, it's working," Amethist growled, emptying raw eggs out of her bag.

"Haha! You actually did it?!" Zoey giggled, high fiving her sister. "Hilarious!"

"Oh, there's more..." Tiffany smiled, winking at Amethist.

"Wait- where's my sweater?" She asked irritated.

"It's upstairs... try checking the bathroom~"

"You bitc-"

"Amethist!" Baldi exclaimed.

She glanced over at him, her nose scrunching, taking one more look at Tiffany then running upstairs. Baldi and the girls waited- then when they heard Amethist scream, Tiffany glanced at Zoey, "Pfft---! Great idea, Zoe!" She whispered, Zoey, laughing.

Baldi scolded them, Amethist coming downstairs. "Let's go- I no longer have a sweater or a backpack -"

"Or a lunchbox," Zoey giggled.

"What?!" Amethist exclaimed, immediately glancing over.

Zoey held her lunchbox out, Tiffany pulling a sledgehammer out from behind her, lifting it up, "No." Baldi gasped.

"Oh yeah~" Tiffany winked, Zoey tightening her grip, the hammer coming down on it.

"Stop! Stop it this instant! STOP! "Amethist screamed as the hammer bent the metal of the lunchbox her father gave her when she was 3. Within seconds, the lunchbox was a flat piece of metal. Her hands turned into fists as a hiss escaped her teeth, her vision turning black.

"Amethist!" She heard Baldi's voice, the sound of the disposal in the sink's blades spinning. Amethist's sight cleared, realizing she was close to shoving Tiffany's whole hand into the spinning blades. She backed up, letting go of Tiffany's arm. She cried into Baldi's chest, holding her bleeding fingertips. "What was that?!" He exclaimed, scrambling to bandage Tiffany's fingers.

"I dunno- everything went black. I'm sorry, Tiff! I didn't mean to-"

"I can't believe you like her! She's a psychopath!" Tiffany cried out.

"You shouldn't have done what you did! You have to buy her a new lunchbox, wash her sweater and backpack and apologize!" Baldi exclaimed, motioning for her to get the sweater, "Now go! You're grounded, you and Zoey!"

"But, Daddy! It was Tiff's idea!" Zoey complained.

"I don't care! You did it- you were involved- so your going to join her! Know what? I'm not leaving you two here- you're coming to school with me and Amethist!"

"But, Daaad!" Tiffany groaned.

"No! Now get ready- we're leaving!" Baldi yelled, grabbing his bag from the couch. As soon as he lifted it, it knocked a pillow over. Under the pillow sat his broken music box. He stared at it, his face complete shock. He picked it up, the golden heart cracked and the key bent to the point of jamming.

"Crap. " Zoey whispered, hiding behind a scared-looking Tiffany.

"I thought you said you hid it well..." She told her little sister, horrified.

Baldi's face darkened as he was consumed with sadness- his cherished gift from his loved one- broken. "What happened?" He asked.

"Ya see- we were gonna hide it... I put Zoey in charge of doing that..." Zoey told him, glancing over at her.

"I-I tried to put it on the drawer- and then it fell and broke... so I put it under the pillow... sorry, Daddy," Zoey explained, Amethist walking over.

"What did I do to you?!" He exclaimed, tears running down his face.

"I'm sorry! Tiffany just wanted to know if you were seeing someone! So she wanted to hide your music box for blackmail- but went terribly wrong!"

"Wait-" Amethist said suddenly. Baldi and the girls glanced over at her, watching her mess with the music box, "My birth dad used to work as a person that fixes these sort of things- I'd be more than happy to fix it for you... it clearly means a lot to you,"

"Sam gave it to me minutes before... the accident,"

"Oh- then, of course, I'll fix it for you~ It's a gift that's important- I get it. My dad had bought me the lunchbox for my 3rd birthday- he filled it with different things I liked. Sweets, plushies, stickers, and so much more- then... he... he was..." Amethist's smile faded, her looking down at the box, "He was killed at his work... he tried to protect the employees and the customers by getting them out of there during a robbery- he got out to late and was discovered... he was then shot to death... I haven't seen him since I was 5... He gave me the bag. and the sweater to me when he gave me the lunchbox, so it means a lot to me,"

"Oh no! I'm so sorry, Amie! I didn't know it was important!" Zoey cried out.

"I lost three things my dad gave me... my sweater, my bunny bag, and the lunchbox- wonderful girls- I hope you know why I almost destroyed your daughter's hands," Amethist told Baldi.

"Wow- I'm so sorry- you got it worse then I did- sorry," He whispered pecking her cheek.

She giggled like a child, blushing lightly. "Aw shucks~" Amethist muttered, pushing his face away, "We have to go to school though- we should take the car."

"Good call," Baldi nodded, grabbing Amethist's hand and running. "Coming girls!"

"Ok" Zoey and Tiffany groaned, following them.
