Chapter 4: Sleep over

Amethist giggled as Baldi became flustered, his face turning a bright red. "OH GOD! YOUR RIGHT!" He exclaimed,

"Eh... it IS in the past... but.... ye... it DID happen..." Amethist said, a smile on her face, "But it IS my fault... well... no, yours too,"

"Wait, what?! How?!" Baldi exclaimed, his blush lightening.

"Your skin was so warm! I COULDN'T HELP IT! you're TOO warm!" Amethist shouted.

"My skin... is too warm? How?"

"I don't know! Just-"

*RING RING*

They both looked down at Amethist's bag as her phone rang, her pulling it out, "Hold up- Hello?" She asked into the phone while motioning to Baldi 'wait'. "Mom?...... Oh...... wait, what?...... But mom, I can't just..... ok fine- I guess I could just, stay at the house... ok, bye mom- see you when you and dad return......" as Amethist talked on the phone her voice pointed out she was clearly annoyed. Baldi stared as Amethist angerly hung up, "UGH! What a bitch," Amethist groaned, shoving her phone into her pocket.

"She's out of town, isn't she?" Baldi asked her.

"Yeah, How did you know?" Amethist asked him.

"Well... I'm known for my good hearing- Uhm... Ms. Lockheart?" He asked nervously.

"Yea?" Amethist asked, a smile on her face.

"I... I was wondering... Can I... walk you home? You know, to give you company- plus, you're a beautiful woman, and this is a dangerous town- the two DO NOT mix well,"

"Awww~ You're such a sweet heart~ Ok, why not?" Amethist nodded, excitedly bouncing in place.

•••♪♥♪•••

Amethist and Baldi walked up to the Lockheart's house. Amethist unlocked the door, carefully opening it. "Okey~ Home sweet home- *gasp* hold up, maybe we can-" She turned around to see Baldi walking away. "Wait! Mr. Baldi!"

She ran after Baldi, grabbing his arm. He turned around to see her hugging his arm, "Ms. Lockheart?"

"Don't leave, peez?" She begged, looking up at him with sad eyes.

"You sure?" Baldi asked, a little confused.

"Yes yes yes! You promised you would give me company, and my mom and dad are gonna be gone for a while," Amethist whined, hugging his arm tighter.

"Well... ok then," He smiled, defeated.

"YAY! I'll order pizza!" Amethist cooed, running back inside.

"Ha- ok then?" Baldi chuckled, following her.

•••♪♥♪•••

Baldi and Amethist sat on the couch in the living room, watching Netflix. A box of bacon and beef pizza sat in front of them. Baldi sat there sleepily watching the screen. He then felt Amethist scoot up to him, Putting her head on his chest. He looked down at her, Amethist looking up at him smiling. He smiled back before she looked back at the screen.

After a couple of movies, soft breathing was heard from Amethist, making Baldi glance over at her. He smiled, carefully placing a pillow under her head. Gently sliding her off of him. Baldi tried to sit up, but then Amethist moved her arms around his waist, making him blush immensely. He slid back down, her moving closer to him. They both got even closer, their warmth canceling out the coolness of the room. Pretty soon they were both asleep.

~~~♥~~~
Baldi slept close to Amethist- shaking in his sleep. He trembled as the worst moment of his life played in his dream.
"It's ok, honey- Stay with me, we'll call an ambulance and-"
"It's alright... I'm not gonna make it,"
"No! Don't say that! Don't-"..."Sam... Sam!... SAMANTHA!"
~~~♥~~~

"Samantha!" Baldi shouted, sitting up. He breathed heavily as Amethist looked over her shoulder. She sat up, turning towards him. She rubbed his arm, worry on her face.He looked down, thinking about his nightmare, "I'm so tired of having that nightmare every night..." Baldi mumbled, laying back down, "When will it end?" He asked.

"I'm not sure, but it's ok- I'm here for you," Amethist smiled, laying close to him.

"But it's not the same... I want Sam... but she's... gone." Baldi sighed.

"I know I know- it's difficult at first... I've lost too many people in my life... And yet I'm ok-"

"Just ok~?" Baldi laughed.

"Tch. Just go to bed- get out of here with that commercial," She giggled, facing away from him.

"Sorry~" Baldi chuckled, hugging her from behind.

"Oh, shush!" Amethist groaned.

•••♪♥♪•••

Baldi woke in the morning to hear Amethist singing. He sat up, rubbing his eyes. He got up, walking over to the kitchen. Music played as she made breakfast. He stood at the doorway, smiling.

(The song is at the top)"♪Low key, low key, you should really get to know me~ Low key, low key, you should really get to know me~Yeah, I know you got some things that you could show me~Low key, low key, you should really get to know me~♪" Amethist flipped a pancake, catching it on a plate. "♪I see you looking at my body very closely~But there's a lot of things about me that you don't see~ You know we could take it fast or take it slowly~ We could fly out to Ibiza and get cozy~♪ All your friends are looking for you-they don't know where you're at-'Cause you left with me and slipped out the back~♪ " She then did a turn on the last word, setting the plate down. "♪Low key, low key, you should really get to know me~ Low key, low key, you should really get to know me~Yeah, I know you got some things that you could show me~Low key, low key, you should really get to know me~♪" She sang. Baldi chuckled, making Amethist scream alarmed. She tripped on air, him catching her.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to ruin the moment~" Baldi laughed, standing her up straight.

"H-How long were you- How long were you there???" Amethist asked, her face a bright red from embarrassment.

"Eh... As soon as you started singing~" Baldi chuckled, "Why are you so embarrassed? You have a beautiful voice," He laughed.

"I... I have stage fright..." Amethist whispered.

"Oh... Well, you still have an amazing voice- you should consider singing more often~" Baldi suggested walking over to the plate of pancakes. He tore a piece of one of them popping it in his mouth, "Oh- your a cooker too... strawberry?" He asked.

"Mhm. But yeah... my parents tell me I have to learn to cook if I even wanna get married... My family believes women are supposed to cook for their husbands... so, I learned all kinds of recipes so that I don't disappoint my parents-"

"Wuh? Oh, you poor thing- Now I feel bad for not waking up earlier... I could have made breakfast myself,"

"Huh?! No! Don't- I'm doing it on my own, I used to it-"

"I don't know what's wrong with your family- the husband is supposed to be helping out around the house, it's just-"

"Isn't fair," They both said at the same time. They looked at each other, blushing.

"Yeah..." Baldi smiled his blush getting deeper.

"Finally... someone who disagrees with what my parents and family- I couldn't find anyone who doesn't... but you! You have common sense!" Amethist exclaimed.

"Wait... where were you born?"

"Mexico,"

"Oh... that's why- the woman there are brainwashed to do whatever their husband says- I'm from America, we don't behave like the people where you were born,"

"It's kinda hard to tell if that's racist or not," Amethist giggled, walking up to the stove, turning it off.

"Eh- it's true though," Baldi laughed as Amethist served him three pancakes. "I wouldn't find a guy that agrees with what your parents say, thas not right," Baldi suggest, cutting a piece of pancake.

"You know what? I really love how understanding you are," Amethist giggled, placing her hand on his arm.

"Yeah- but later, I'm not letting you in the kitchen- we're going out to eat,"

"But-"

"No *Gasp*, wait- what time is it?!" Baldi exclaimed.

"You slept all morning, it's 2:00," Amethist replied, seeing Baldi's frantic reaction.

"What?! CRAP! Were late!" Baldi exclaimed, standing up, and running to grab his handbag.

"Wha-" Before Amethist can finish, Baldi ran over, carrying her out of the house.

"No time! We have to go!"
