This chapter kind of sucked but ok.

"Slow down before you choke," Reese said staring at me from the other side of the booth. He had brought me to Waffle House, and once I started eating, I couldn't stop. I was like a human vacuum, sucking in everything I could.

That sounded inappropriate. Nasty, girl.

"Sorry, I'm just really hungry," I said, not looking up from my plate.

I stuffed another piece of waffle in my mouth and moaned from the taste. Jesus what do they put in these things.

Reese was quiet as he watched me. Almost like he was studying me, you could say. Most girls would be embarrassed eating the way I was, but I just didn't care. He wasn't my boyfriend or anything. He was just a boy. Who I was attracted too.

"Are you eating properly at home? Are your parents feeding you? Talk to me Chloe," Reese said reaching over and touching my hands with his. What?

"What of course I'm eating at home. Yes my parents feed me idiot, I just went to sleep without dinner last night and skipped breakfast this morning," I said wiping my mouth on a napkin and pushing my empty plate away from me.

"You're not starving yourself are you? Your body is amazing you don't need to do that," Reese said smiling at me.

He thought my body was amazing. He looked at my body. Butterflies erupted in my belly and my heart started beating out of control. Good Lord Chloe, you're acting like he said you were the sexiest thing alive.

I wiped my hands on my pants and licked my lips. They felt dry.

"No, I'm not starving myself Reese," I said. He nodded and relaxed in his seat.

"So, tell me something about yourself," he said placing both his hands on the table.

"I hate humans."

The bell signaling someone else entering rung over our heads and throughout the restaurant

His laugh was like velvet in my ears. It was beautiful. Perfect. I stared as his eyes crinkled on the side and his pearly white teeth made themselves visible.

" No, but seriously, I enjoy playing volleyball. Its one of the things that keep me sane on this planet. That and my cigarettes," I said picking the dirt form the bottom of my nails.

He was silent for awhile. "You smoke?" His voice was off, but I didn't look up.

I nodded, continuing to pick my nails. "Yea."

Silence again.

"So are you going to tell me something about you or are we going to continue to sit in freaking silence," I said finally looking up at him. He was looking at something behind me. I turned in my seat to see some guys sitting about 3 seats behind us, staring.

Did Reese know these people?

"Reese?" I said touching his hand. His eyes snapped to mine. They didn't look the same as when he was laughing. Now they looked horrified. "What's the matter?"

He continued to look at me and the guys, switching his gazes quickly. I looked at the guys again to see one of them smiling. He looked at me and made little makeshift guns with his hand, similar to the ones Chloe made the other day, directly at me. I froze.

I could feel Reese body tense as he too realized what the man was implying. He was going to shoot me. Reese shot out of his seat bringing me with him. Throwing some money on the table he pulled me out of the restaurant and practically dragged me to his car. "Reese, what was that about," I asked him, but the only answer I got was a knock on glass. Both me and Reese snapped our heads to see the dude looking at us through the glass holding a napkin.

You shouldn't play with guns Mr. Parker. Nice girl you have there.

Reese shot him the finger and shoved me into the car. He walked to his side and got in, all without saying a word.

Don't play with guns Mr. Parker. Ok, so it was evident that Reese knew these guys, and he was in some deep crap. But, guns? That freaked me out.

Reese started the engine and sped out of there, not once looking back. He looked so mad. So angry. His hands tightened around the steering wheel and he pushed on the gas, making us go way past the speed limit. To be honest I can scared for my life. If I even attempted to look out the window I know I would throw up my waffles.

"Reese slow down," I said gripping my seat belt. He said nothing. We were in the wrong lane. Another car was coming directly towards us.

"Reese," I whispered my eyes widening. He didn't reply just pushed the gas, sending us flying faster.

"Reese please get over," I said, watching the car get closer and closer. "REESE"

"FUCK," he yelled while swerving the car just in time and pulling us over on the side of the road. I stared at him as he beat his steering wheel. Punch after punch, scream after scream. I opened my door with shaking hands and tired my best to walk over to his side without falling. He was hitting his steering wheel so hard his hands were turning colors.

"Reese," I said opening his door. He was still screaming out profanities while beating the shit out of the wheel. "Reese." I touched his shoulder.

It all happened so fast. He pushed me to the ground, reached under his seat, and stood before me, pointing a gun to my head. My breath caught in my throat. Not again. Tears gathered in my eyes and spilled over as I watched him hold the gun.

Just A Dream. Just A Dream. Just A Dream. Just A Dream. Just A Dream.

This wasn't a dream.

I stared in to his eyes.

I stared into his grey eyes. They weren't the same. They were filled with evil.

"Reese, please."

"Reese, please," I whispered. Please don't let him shoot me. This is not how I wanted to die. My hands were surely bleeding since when I fell they hit the rocks first. Reese still head the gun to my head. "Reese, please."

It was like he snapped.

He instantly dropped his gun and crawled over to me. His eyes wide with fear. He pulled me into his arms and let me cry into his shirt. I gripped on to him with everything I had as he held me tight, rubbing my hair back and pulling it out of my face.

"I'm so sorry Chloe, I'm so freaking sorry. It's ok, I promise. I would never hurt you. Never. It's ok," he whispered into my ear as I clung to him. My dream was almost a reality but he stopped. He didn't pull the trigger.

"Don't kill me Reese, please don't kill me. Don't listen to my parents. Don't listen to them. Don't kill me," I choked out, breathing harshly. Bits of black formed in my vision.

"Chloe, Your parents aren't here."

"Please."

I blacked out.

"Listen, I'll bring her back tomorrow just keep her car."

I opened my eyes to see we were no longer on the street, but in a room. I groaned and sat up, holding a hand to my head. Reese eyes immediately snapped to me.

"Hey Amber, she's awake. Yes. Yes. I'm about to get some food in her and I'll make sure she calls you. Ok, bye."

Reese tossed the phone on the table near him and rushed towards me.

"Chloe, how do you feel? Are you ok? Jesus, Chloe this is all my fault. I'm so sorry," he said placing his hands on either side of my face.

"It's ok. Please stop saying sorry," I whispered. He nodded and leaned his forehead against mines, our noses touching. Our lips a breath away.

"You shouldn't be around me Chloe, I'm not safe," he said. His breath tasted sweet, almost intoxicating.

"Don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do," I said, bringing him closer to me. He looked in my eyes and brought his lips to mine. He kissed me hard and rough and even though he pulled a gun out on me, I swear I forgive him. His lips felt soft and his tongue tasted sweet. He wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me flush against him. Chest to Chest.

God Chloe, what are you doing? You need to stop this right now.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as he searched my mouth with his tongue, getting to know every inch of it. But it wouldn't last long.

"No, no , no," he said putting his head on my shoulder. "I can't Chloe, I'm sorry."

"Why not?" I ran my hands through his hair, pulling strands and twirling them around my finger.

"Because Chloe I told you. I'm not safe. We only just met, I need to get to know you before I make you mine. I need to do this right. Chloe, I almost shot you today. I have secrets and problems I need to work on before I can take anything to the next level. I can't even be your friend. I'm sorry," he said sitting up and pulling his face out of my shoulder.

I didn't speak. I just sat there staring at him. He was right. He didn't even know me we had only just met. I had secrets and things I needed to work on as well, I don't have time for a boyfriend. Even if he is incredibly attractive.

I nodded and looked around.

"Where are we," I asked looking around. I rubbed my hands on my pants and immediately hissed in pain. I pulled my hands up to my face to see dried blood and cuts.

"We are in a motel room, I found. Let me see," he pulled my hands into his lap and looked over them. "Do you want food?" he asked walking into the bathroom.

"

"No, I just want my hands patched up so I can go back to sleep," I muttered. I reached in my back pocket and pulled out a cigarette along with my lighter. Lighting it, I let the smoke fill my lungs before exhaling.

"You're to attractive to be smoking," Reese said walking back into the room with a first aid kit.

"Yea, well I'm to attractive for a lot of things I do in my life," I said taking another puff. I wondered if my parents were worried about me. Or maybe they were to busy arguing to notice that I had been gone for two days in a row now. Pathetic.

I let the cigarette rest on my lips as Reese, once again, took my hands in his lap and began to clean them. I let out a pain filled groan ass alcohol met my damaged skin. "Sorry," Reese said, I just shook my head at him. He was silent as he patched up my skin. I wonder how he got the bad boy title. I don't see him as a bad boy at all. He's sweet and caring. Even though he almost killed me, he's a great person.

He finished with my hands and I smashed my cigarette in the ash tray I found on the nightstand by my bed. "All don, you can rest now," he said standing up and looking down at me. His eyes were hard and his lips were in a grim line. His forehead held wrinkles and his skin looked pale.

He turned off the light and snuggled in on the floor. "Wait, Chloe, I have to ask you something," Reese said.

"What is it," I asked.

"On the street, you said something about your parents. Don't listen to them. What were you talking about?"

"Don't kill me Reese, please don't kill me. Don't listen to my parents. Don't listen to them. Don't kill me," I choked out, breathing harshly. Bits of black formed in my vision."

I took in a shaky breath and ran my hands over my face.

"Goodnight, Reese."

Silence.
