Warning: self harm!
"Have you and Jai decided on a date yet?" Gina asked as we walked into the bridal store.
"You know how Jai is. He wants it to be in a couple of weeks, but I think it should be at least a few months." I explained.
"Of course he does. He's always been stubborn like that." She said, laughing.
"How may I help you?" A sales lady said after a few minutes of Gina and I looking around.
"I'm getting married in a few months or weeks as my fiancé thinks." I explained.
"Well that's a man for you. Anyway do you know what kind of dress you're looking for?" She asked.
"Something that shows my curves but poofs at the bottom. I want to have a sweet heart neck line but with some lace." I explained. I mean come on it shouldn't be THAT hard.
"Okay, I'll look in the back for you." She said with a smile. She turned and started to walk to the back of the store.
"I'm glad you picked me to help you with all this." Gina said after a moment of silence.
"Well who else would I pick. You're the closest thing I've had to a mom. Oh and speaking of that I want you to be my Maid of Honor." I said with a smile.
"Really?" She asked as tears formed in her eyes.
"Yeah and I was thinking that you could carry Luna down the aisle and when it comes to 'who gives this bride away' or whatever you could say 'her daughter and I' I want one of the guys to walk me down the aisle but I can't choose on so I don't know what to do." I said.
"Well Daniel is clumsy and James will end up dislocating his shoulder somehow and Beau is still in the hospital, so your best best would be Luke." She explained.
"Alright, I'll it by Jai and tell Luke tomorrow." I said.
"Here you go." The sales lady came back with 3 dresses.
"I'll help you get them on." The lady said.
"Actually could my mom help me." I said, pointing to Gina.
"Yeah of course." She said with a big smile.
"Mom?" Gina asked as we walked to the dressing rooms.
"Does that bother you?" I asked.
"Not at all." She said.
"So why did you want me back here?" She asked as I started to undress.
"Because of this." I said as I pointed to my scars
"What happened?" Gina asked, confused.
"A while back I cut and I always did it on my thighs. That's why I wanted you." I said with my head down.
"I'm so sorry that you had to go through that." Gina said before giving me a hug.
"It's okay. I stopped when I found out I was pregnant. So in a way your family helped me recover." I said.
"Good. Now that the sad part is over lets get you in some dresses." She said while grabbing one of the dresses.
A few hours and 20 dresses later I found the perfect one.
"I'm glad that's over with." I said.
"Me too." Gina said as we walked out the door.
