Chapter 13

Your POV
Beau was doing great with his physical therapy and Luke and Jai are coming home next week.Beau is expected to come home in the next few days.

Everything is working out great.

Luna is trying her hardest to walk and is starting to say hi and dog every two seconds.

Me and Luna waited in Beau's room. He was in physical therapy and was going to be back any second now.

A few minutes past and a nurse helped him into the room and then on the bed.

"Hey beauty's" he smiled as he pulled the blanket on him. I put Luna up next to him and pulled the chair closer to the bed.

"How did therapy go?" I asked.
"Same as always." He looked down at Luna who was jumping up and down on his lap.
"She's feisty today." He smiled at her.

I pulled one of her books out of my purse and pointed at the dog.
"What's this, Luna?" I asked.
She pointed her finger and smiled.
"Dog" she struggled to say.
"That's right, good job." I said before putting the book back in my purse.

"You're gonna be so smart." Beau said, tickling her stomach.
"When's Luke and Jai Jai coming home?"
"Next week sometime."
"Good, I'm surprised they didn't pack up and leave when they heard I was awake makes me wonder."
"Wonder about what?" I asked seeing that Luna had run out of energy and laid her head on Beau.
"Wonder what they've been doing. What could be more important than their older brother waking up from a coma?"

"Jai hasn't even talked to me the whole time he's been gone." I sighed.
"He what?" Beau asked. I could hear the anger in his voice.
"You haven't spoke to him at all for 3 months?" He asked. I nodded my head.
"There's something going on. He wouldn't just not talk to you."
"Wow, you really know how to make a girl feel better." I laughed.
"Well what do you want me to say? Do you want me to say the same things Luke is probably saying. The things my mom would say about my dad when he left?"
"That's not helping, Beau."
"But am I right?" I nodded.

"I'm going to the bathroom real quick." I said before getting up and walking to Beau's bathroom.

I closed the door behind me and looked in the mirror. I began to cry.

I'm crying because I know Beau is right. I know something is wrong.

I heard a knock on the door. I slowly opened it to see Beau holding Luna.

"Beau, what are you doing out of bed?" I asked taking Luna and grabbing his arm.
"You were crying." He said waking to his bed.
"No, I wasn't."
"Yes, you were." He said sitting down on his bed. I sat Luna next to him and then sat back in my chair.
"You were crying about what I said."
"No, I wasn't crying over that." I said looking down.
"Then why?" He asked.
"It just...hit me I guess."
"What hit you?"
"What if Jai turns out like his dad?"
"No, he won't. None of us will turn out like him."
"Just think about it, Beau. Alcoholics have parents that were alcoholics. Druggies have parents that were druggies. Wife beaters have dads who beat there wives."
"That's not always the case."
"Most of the time it is. What else I'm I supposed to think when Jai leaves and doesn't even call?"
"He didn't run off."
"You don't know that!" I yelled.
"He wouldn't run off he's nothing like my father!" He yelled back.

I took a deep breath.

"I think I'll leave." I said while getting up and taking Luna from his grip.

"No, wait. I didn't mean..." He started to say, but I was already out the door.
