Jai's POV
After walking with Matt I went to call Luke.

"Hey, baby bro." He said.
"Hey, how much longer do I have here?" I asked.
"Few weeks, why?"
"Just missing Luna I guess."
"I have good news."
I smile crept on my face.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Beau's awake and is doing good."
"No way! I need to talk to him, Luke please."
"You can in a couple of weeks." He said sternly.
"But Lukeeee." I whined.
"No, Jai. Don't you wanna be 100% better?" He asked.
"I guess."
"That's what I though now go get some rest."
"Bye, I love you."
"I love you too, Jai Jai." He said before hanging up.

I put the phone back and walked to my room. Matt was laying on his bed.

"Hey." He said as I closed the door.
"Hey." I replied.
I laid on my bed before falling asleep.

Your POV
Luke called me back minutes after I had called him. I explained about Beau and then asked if I could tell Jai.
He always had some excuse that I couldn't talk to him.
"He's in the bathroom."
"He went in the store."
"He's sleeping" He would always say something along those lines.

What do I say to Beau when he asks?
Do I lie and say he lost signal or say what Luke told me?
Maybe he won't care as long as he's around Luna. Hopefully.

I walked into Beau's room and out Luna in the bed with him. She was old enough that she could sit up on her own and was just beginning to crawl.

I sat in the car next to Beau's bed and tapped his shoulder to wake him up.

He slowly opened his eyes and smiled at the sight of Luna.

"This is the best way to wake up." He said as he sat her up in his lap. She grabbed his nose and then tried pulling his IV out.

"Hey, Luna no." I said as I shook my finger in front of her face. Her bottom lip curled and her eyes became glossy.

"Oh bless it's heart, mommas mean." Beau said as he held Luna close to him and bounced her up and down.

"She's just tired and missing her daddy." I explained.
"What about you?" He asked not taking his eyes off of Luna.
"What about me?" I asked.
"Are you missing her daddy?" He asked.
"I guess, I don't know." I said as I looked down.
"I can tell you are and I see he popped the question too."
"Yeah, he put it on Luna." I laughed as I played with my ring.
"Real smooth my baby bro is." He laughed too.

Luna had fallen asleep on Beau's chest and I couldn't blame her. I was tired as well.

"Why don't you lay up here with us." Beau noticed my tiredness.

I nodded my head and climbed into the bed. I laid my head on Beau's shoulder and drifted off to sleep.

'This is what I wanted with Jai, but he ran off and now I can't talk to him. Should I tell Beau? Should I tell him about Matthew? I can't make these decisions by myself. I need Jai.' My thoughts took over.
