"Mr. and Mrs. Tomlinson, this is Harry," The Doctor explains, giving the couple a smile. "Harry, these are the people who chose you to be their surrogate."

"Hi," Harry greets, soft spoken and sheepish as he holds his hand out to Eleanor. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too," Eleanor replies with a warm smile. Louis just stares at the boy, the beautiful boy dressed in a lavender sweater with soft curls like a halo around his head, as he shakes his hand. Eleanor elbows him with a confused expression.

"Um, I'm Louis," He chokes out. This boy is gorgeous. Harry smiles at Louis timidly. "Thank you for...for doing this."

"Yeah, of course," Harry replies softly, sitting down across from the two. "You two seemed like such a lovely couple over the phone, I'm so happy for you. How long have you been married?"

"Eight months," Eleanor answers with a delighted grin. Louis just nods, looking down at his lap. Eight months too long, honestly. He's not in love with Eleanor. He does love her, he cares about her, but he isn't in love with her. They rushed into things and suddenly she was dropping so many hints about wanting a ring in her finger that he felt as though he had no choice.

He's unhappy, to say the least.

The meeting with Harry goes well. It's agreed that Harry will be inseminated and carry Louis and Eleanor's baby. Eleanor is ecstatic. Louis doesn't want to raise this baby with her.

"Um, hi, is this Eleanor? Or Louis? This is Harry. Harry Styles."

Louis is silent for a few seconds. Harry's voice is almost angelic. "This is Louis, yeah. What's up?"

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm pregnant, it worked. Congratulations!"

"O-Oh," Louis breathes out, his lips turning up into a small smile. "Thank you, thank you so much, Harry."

"Yeah, of course. Just, like, call me if you have any questions or anything."

"Yeah, yeah, thank you," Louis says before hanging up. Just then the front door opens, Eleanor walking in with multiple shopping bags (Louis had told her the week before that they should start saving their money for the baby. She obviously wasn't listening).

"Why're you smiling?" She asks, setting her bags down on the floor near the staircase. Louis puts his phone in his pocket.

"Harry's pregnant," He replies. Eleanor slowly starts to smile, putting both her hands over her heart.

"Really?" She asks, and Louis nods. "Oh my god, oh my god, I have to call him, did you get his number?"

Louis finds it a bit strange Eleanor hasn't rushed over and jumped into his arms like she usually does when she's excited, but he pushes it to the back of his mind and focuses on the fact that he and Eleanor are going to have a baby.

"Where've you been?" Louis asks confusedly as Eleanor walks into the house with a box of leftovers in her hand, taking her sunglasses off her face and setting them on the top of her head.

"I took Harry to lunch," She replies, setting her keys down on the table and walking to the kitchen. Louis furrows his eyebrows and closes his laptop, setting it down before standing up off the couch and following Eleanor.

"Why wasn't I invited?" He asks confusedly.

"You were working, love," Eleanor replies, but she doesn't sound very convincing. She sets her mobile down on the counter before sticking her leftovers in the refrigerator. "I'm going to go take my makeup off."

Eleanor walks toward the washroom, her phone going off only a few seconds later. Louis walks toward the counter and picks up her phone, a text on the screen from someone named Max.

are you almost done with lunch? I can't wait to see you, baby ;) telling your husband you're at your parents?

Louis' hand shakes as he sets the phone down quickly and steps back. Eleanor was cheating on him. After years of practically begging him to marry her, she's cheating on him.

"You can eat my leftovers if you want!" Eleanor calls from the washroom as Louis exhales shakily. He swallows thickly, tempted to bring her mobile to the washroom and ask her to explain, but he can't bring himself to move his hand toward the counter.

"Okay!" Louis calls back, taking off his glasses with his trembling fingers and sticking them in the pocket of his joggers.

Harry has his five month ultrasound the next day.

Eleanor calls Louis to tell him rather the driving there together she'll take a separate car, explaining how her boss called her and told her to come in right after. Louis knows it's bullshit, but he agrees.

They meet Harry there, the boy's smile wide and his skin glowing. He hugs Eleanor and gives Louis a wave, and that's when it hits Louis. Eleanor has been trying to get close to Harry so if they get divorced, Harry will give her the baby. Louis feels sick.

Harry's name gets called, and they all stand up, Harry and Eleanor talking while Louis walks behind them with his hands in his pockets.

Harry and Eleanor continue to talk while Harry lays on the table. Louis wants to blurt it out in the middle of their conversation, wants to expose his wife and bring up the fact that he wants a divorce and sabotage Eleanor's whole plan. But, instead, he takes his phone out of his pocket and pretends to furrow his eyebrows at something.

When the doctor arrives and they get the ultrasound going, Eleanor makes sure to be close to Harry and turn her back to Louis. Louis crosses his arms and keeps his eyes on the ultrasound screen, ignoring Eleanor.

"Looks like it's a baby girl," The doctor says when Eleanor begs to be told the gender. Eleanor squeals and hugs Harry, and Louis can't help but smile, eyes on the round bump in between Harry's hips.

They get pictures printed and Eleanor kisses Harry's cheek, promising him that she'll talk to him soon. And then she leaves, and it's just Louis and Harry.

"Do you..." Louis clears his throats awkwardly while Harry just raises his eyebrows with a warm smile. "Want to go to lunch? I mean, I haven't really gotten a lot of time with you yet, and I'd like to."

"Sure," Harry says with a grin, adjusting the waistband of his trousers. "Right now?"

"Yeah, uh," Louis stuffs his hands into his pockets. "We could go in my car? And then I'll drive you back here so you can get yours?"

"Sounds good," Harry replies.

"Oh, shit," Louis blurts out before blushing. "I'm sorry, um, I forgot my wallet at home. Do you mind if we stop and get it?"

"Of course not," Harry replies, and Louis' trying not to stare at the way his thin jumper clings around his belly. "Let's go."

"I'll be quick," Louis promises as they step into the house, Louis walking toward the kitchen and taking his wallet off the counter. He comes back into the lounge to find Harry staring up at a framed picture from Louis and Eleanor's wedding on the wall.

"You two are such a great couple," Harry says softly, hands folded behind his back. Louis bites his bottom lip.

"She's cheating on me," He blurts out, and Harry's head whips toward him.

"W-What?" Harry squeaks, eyebrows furrowing. Louis clears his throat.

"No, I'm sorry, I-" Louis sighs, stuffing his wallet into his pocket. "I just. I don't think we're going to stay together. And I don't know how that effects the baby."

"Oh my god," Harry mumbles shakily.

"I haven't told her I know yet..." Louis says. "But I'm almost positive that's what's happening, and I also think she's been spending so much time with you so if we divorce she'll get the baby."

"I-I need to sit down," Harry decides, hands shaking as Louis quickly steps toward him and helps him to a chair. "I-I can't give her the baby. I can't. I-I didn't know she...I don't respect that. What she's doing, I mean."

"Yeah, well," Louis sighs, standing in front of Harry. "I don't either."

"I'm-" Harry's hand drops to his stomach, fingers trembling. "I'm sorry, Louis, I'm so sorry, that's so...that's awful."

The door opens then, Eleanor walking in with her shirt untucked and her hair messy. Her jaw goes slack, eyes wide as she notices Louis and Harry there. "H-Harry, what are you doing here?" She asks, cheeks turning a light crimson. "I was just...um..."

"Cheating on me with your little boyfriend," Louis finishes for her, and Eleanor's eyes widen even more. Louis just stands there, facing her with his eyebrows raised, waiting for her to defend herself.

"W-What? No," Eleanor stumbles over her own words, her purse slipping from her loose grip and falling onto the hardwood floor. "I-Why is Harry here, Louis?"

"We were going to go out to lunch," Louis explains. "Because you've been spending so much time with him and I haven't spent any." Louis takes a step toward Eleanor. "You're not taking the baby, Eleanor."

"I-Louis, please, um-"

Louis stops her words by taking off his wedding ring and setting it in the palm of her hand. "Do you remember when we first started dating and I told you I don't tolerate cheating?" He asks calmly. "And you said you didn't either?"

"L-Louis-"

"Save it," Louis says, stepping away from Eleanor and going to help Harry up, who looks scared. "I want you out of here by tomorrow. I still do not tolerate cheating."

And he and Harry left.

"Six younger siblings?" Harry almost chokes on his food. "That's a big family, wow."

"Yeah," Louis hums, smiling at Harry. "And I've kind of always wanted a big family of my own, I guess. I want at least eight kids."

"Good lord," Harry blurts out, and Louis throws his head back and laughs, and Harry joins him. "I have one sister, and I can barely handle her."

"I have five younger sisters," Louis says, stabbing his fork into his plate of pasta absentmindedly. "And one brother. And we're all very close and I really want a family like that."

"That does sound nice," Harry says softly. It's quiet for a few moments before he looks up to Louis shyly. "A-Are you going to raise the baby on your own?"

Louis stares down at his lap for a long few moments. "I don't really have a choice, yeah?" He points out. "I want her. Seriously, I do. And, yeah, it'll be hard, but there's no way in hell I'm letting Eleanor near her."

Harry's quiet. "Did you have any names in mind?"

"I like the name Chandler," Louis admits, feeling himself start to smile. Harry smiles back, nodding.

"I-I could help out sometimes," Harry offers. "With the baby. It might be hard doing everything on your own."

Louis' smile widens. "That sounds nice," He admits. Harry looks like he's about to reply before he freezes, one hand flying down to his belly and the other gripping the table. "'Y alright?" He asks worriedly. Harry waves him over, and Louis walks around to the other side of the booth.

"Here," Harry mumbles, taking Louis' hand and placing it against the curve of his belly. Louis furrows his eyebrows before feeling a light sort of tapping against his palm. He looks up at Harry, who's smiling. "Please tell me you felt that–that's the first time she's done that."

"I felt it," Louis says, beaming as he stares down at Harry's belly. Harry giggles and takes Louis' hand, putting it to another part of his stomach where the feeling is stronger. "Wow."

Louis looks up at Harry's face, the lad's eyes sparking as his fingers stay on top of Louis'. Harry's smile slowly grows wider as they continue to look into each other's eyes.

"Are you feeling alright?"

"I'm fine," Harry assures, letting Louis lower him down onto the sofa in Louis' lounge. "Just tired. She's kept me up all night for the past week."

Louis twists his mouth. "I'm sorry," He says sincerely, frowning as Harry waves him off.

"Talking to her helps," He says softly. "She gets really riled up whenever you talk, though."

Louis beams. "Really?" Harry nods. "I-Wow. That's so...that's so cool."

"Yeah," Harry hums. "It is, yeah, how she recognises your voice already. And you don't even talk directly to her."

"'S sick," Louis says excitedly, squatting down in front of where Harry was sitting and setting his hand on Harry's stomach. He feels a foot against his palm, making him smile. "Only about...about three months left, yeah?"

Harry smiles adoringly. "Yeah," He sighs wearily. "Are you nervous?"

"Very," Louis replies, and Harry doesn't reply. He just stares at Louis as Louis stares at his belly. Slowly, Louis looks up. He and Harry just look at each other for a few moments before Louis clears his throat. "You...You can sleep over tonight, if you want. I'll keep you company if she wakes you up."

Harry smiles. "Sure," He replies shyly, watching as Louis starts to smile as well. "Have you and Eleanor, like, divorced?"

"Yeah," Louis clears his throat again. "About a month ago. Why?"

"Just wondering."

"You look soft," Louis sighs into his pillow, answering some texts as Harry stands in front of him in a long sleeved shirt and flannel pyjama pants. "You can lay down, love, it's fine."

Louis doesn't miss the rosy pink Harry's cheeks turn as he lays down next to him, fingers ghosting the swell of his tummy. Louis sets his phone down and shuts off the light, flashing Harry a quick smile before putting his head to the pillow.

It's only two hours after they both fall asleep that Harry wakes up to little feet at his ribs. He sighs wistfully, looking over to where Louis is sleeping peacefully. Harry slowly gets up and waddles toward the washroom, switching the light on and looking at himself in the mirror. He stares at the bags under his eyes and the baby bump between his hips, biting his bottom lip.

He likes Louis, a lot. And he wants Louis to like him back. But, he feels incredibly unattractive with his tired face and large tummy. Plus, he's technically his surrogate. He feels as though it's wrong in some way.

"Oof," Harry hisses when the baby kicks extra hard, placing his hand on the spot. "Calm down, love, your dad's right in the other room."

"You okay?"

Harry can feel his cheeks heat up before he even looks over to Louis. "I told you to wake me up if she started wreaking havoc," He reminds, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Harry avoids Louis' gaze, looking down at his feet (well, the tips of his toes). "She just woke me up," Harry replies softly. Louis hums and nods, grabbing Harry's arm gently and tugging him toward the bedroom.

"You want water?" Louis asks, voice deep and raspy with sleep.

"Oh, you don't have to-"

"But I'm going to," Louis interrupts, helping Harry back into the bed. "You're tired, you want water?" Harry nods sheepishly. The baby kicks wildly. "Alright. I'll be back."

Louis comes back just a few minutes later with a glass of water and a weary smile. "Here you go, bub," Louis mumbles, handing the water over to Harry. Harry smiles graciously, taking the water and thanking him quietly. "Has she stopped?"

"No," Harry hums softly. "But that's okay. I don't mind it."

"Can I...?" Louis holds his hand out toward Harry's belly. Harry nods, sitting up more as Louis puts his hand on the side of it. Harry can see him beam in the dimly lit room, the baby's kicking right at his fingertips. "That's so sick, oh my god. How does it feel for you?"

"Weird," Harry giggles. "Really weird."

It's silent for a few moments. Louis has gotten closer to Harry, smile wide as the baby continues to kick.

"Can I just...?" Louis lightly grips Harry's chin, and Harry didn't even notice he was looking at him. Louis is quick to tip Harry's chin upward, slowly pressing their lips together. Harry's heart rate quickens, but his lips slowly move along with Louis', tummy filled with butterflies as he moves his fingers to Louis' cheek.

They take their time separating, Harry's eyes still closed when their lips aren't touching anymore. When he flutters them open, Louis' smiling timidly at him.

"I-I'm sorry if you didn't-"

"I did," Harry assures with a small smile. Louis smiles back.

"Be with me," Louis says quickly, grabbing Harry's hand and squeezing it. "Please. W-We can take care of the baby together. I-I've liked you for a long time, Harry."

"Right back at you," Harry giggles. "Yes. Yes, I want to be with you."

"She looks a lot like you," Harry whispers softly, smiling down at Chandler. Louis smiles as well, sniffling from his leftover tears.

"Yeah?" Louis replies just as quietly, not wanting to wake the baby up.

"She's beautiful," Harry's lip is trembling (the doctor said he'd be hormonal–he didn't warn Louis to what extent).

"I love you," Louis blurts out. Harry's eyes widen as he looks up at Louis.

"I-I love you too," Harry replies after a few moments.
