Enoch POV

Another boring sunny day at the house, god I wish something would happen so that we wouldn't have to spend all our time in the garden or in my room. Maybe I could go find Y/n and see how their doing? Yeah I'll do that.

She's not in the house so she's probably somewhere outside. I kinda hope she's not with victor right now, he's been kind of a dick the last few weeks.

Okay, Hugh, Fiona, Bronwyn.... no y/n yet.

"Hey Hugh!" I yelled getting his attention, he walked over towards me from the garden. "You seen y/n?"

He looks around for a second before pointing towards the tree, "saw her go over there before, not sure if she's still there but"

I sigh "better than nothing, thanks mate" I say hitting him on the back and walking away.

Maybe she's hiding behind the tree, it's pretty big so it wouldn't be hard. I start getting closer to the tree and decide to call out to her.

"Y/n, you over here?" I shout at the tree. Suddenly I see her h/c hair swish out from behind with the rest of her.

"Hey... what are you doing over here?" She says smiling at me, her eyes start to dart around the backyard.

"Just looking for you, so we could hang out or something... can I come over?"

She looks around again and nods her head while ducking back behind the tree. I walk over and see her sitting on the trees roots, I plop down next to her.

"So ya little weirdo, what are you doing over here?" I question

"Oh you know, just hanging around, looking for some peace and quiet"

"Hope I'm not bothering you then" I say as I slouch down

"You could never bother me, Enoch" she says as she packs up her books into her bag she brought out with her.

"Good, cause I'll be around you for eternity" I say and she laughs at that, I love that laugh.

"Yes you will" she says as she rests her head on my shoulder. We stay like that for a while, just sitting and watching the clouds. It's really nice, I wish we could do this forever.

"I should be getting back, before Victor comes looking for me" she says but she doesn't move. A few more minutes go by before we hear someone yelling.

"Y/n!"

Y/n freezes a little at the sound of Victor calling for her. She stands up just before Victor walks around the tree.

"What are you doing over here?" He questions.

"I was just reading" Y/n says. Victor gives me a dirty look and grabs Y/ns hand.

"We're leaving"

God what a jerk. I sit for a few more minutes before realizing that Y/n left her bag, I should give that back to her.

When I get back into the house I hear victor talking to Y/n, I can't really tell what it's about but it's something like 'why... always... him... stop' maybe it's about me.

I walk up the stairs and hear a door slam and see victor coming out of Y/n's room. After a minute of loitering in the hallway I go into her room and see her still standing there.

"Y/n?" I say as I knock on the door frame, "are you okay?"

She looks up and is clearly upset "yeah I'm fine, what are you doing here?" She asks

I hold up the bag and she sighs. She walks over and goes to grab the bag out of my hand when I notice she has a bruise on her wrist.

"Did victor do that?" I ask quietly. She looks horrified that I noticed so quickly. Tears start rolling down he cheeks as she nods, I give her a hug and she melts into me.

"You know you can leave him" I say to her while stroking the back on her head/hair. She nods her head but stays quiet.

The door suddenly opens with a bang and Victor is standing there. "What the fuck is this Y/n? You said you'd stop talking to him!" He shouts.

Y/n let's go of me but I keep her behind me.

"Y/n, come!" Victor days strictly. When she doesn't move he walks towards her. "Y/n. Don't test me" she again doesn't move and he pushes me and grabs her wrist pulling her towards the door.

"Hey!" I tell, he stops for a second and I punch him. Pretty hard too, he goes flying towards her desk and hits his head.

"Enoch.. why did you do that?" She says worriedly.

"Y/n, we need to go" I say and place my hand out for her. She looks down at it and then back up towards me, she seems reluctant but that quickly changes when she hears victor groan as he tries to stand. She grabs my hand and I start running with her right next to me.

"Where are we going?!?" She shouts as we run down the stairs.

"I don't know but just run" I shout back. We can hear victor stumbling and then run after us. We have a high lead on him though.

Once were outside we just keep running and running until we can't see the house, or him anymore.

We stop for a second to catch out breathe.

"What are we gonna do? We can't go back right now." Y/n says worried. I look around and see a shady tree.

"Well spend the night out here and go back tomorrow" I say as I walk over to the tree. I start to make a fire for the night because it's already getting super cold.

After I'm done we sit at the tree close to the fire. We sit for a while just looking st the fire.

"Why didn't you tell me what was going on?" I ask

"I didn't know how" she says quietly, still staring at the fire.

"Hey, you know in the future you can tell me anything. And I mean anything" I say as I gently grab her chin so I can see her.

She nods and moves in closer to me. We spend most of the night just talking and we eventually lay down to fall asleep.

"It's really cold" she says. I move closer to her and wrap my arms around her.

"Don't worry, I'll keep you warm" I say and we both drift off to sleep.
