i haven't seen this done before, so hopefully the whole _____'s daughter thing isn't too 2012ish lol.  i hope the relationship between gia and luca makes up for it if it is, cos i love it eek

also, this story has an au element - only that michael's injury is a little different, just so he can be out of the hospital for most of this story. i've only changed it so that this can happen, nothing else has been affected by this change (polly's grief, luca's visit to michael etc).
