Vampire
Hey guys. So I'd like to start of this one shot with an apology, well a few apologies. Firstly, I'd like to apologise for not updating in ages. I feel really bad but I just lacked motivation and ideas and had a lot going on in my life. That being said, I am having a sudden burst of motivation at the moment so I will try to update as much as I can because it's what you guys deserve. Thank you for being so supportive though even with the lack of updates. I also want to apologise that this is not the last part of "Am I not good enough for you?". I know you guys really enjoy that mini series but I just don't have any ideas for it. I will try to update it as soon as I can. That being said, please enjoy this one shot, which is a human AU just to clarify. Thank you for your patience.
TW: Mentions of blood, slight angst
Patton woke up in a dimly lit, unfamiliar room, his head throbbing and aching as if it was in a fiery inferno. He clutched onto it in pain, confused as to what was going on. Quickly glancing around the room, he soon realised that he wasn't alone. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a tall man sitting on a leather sofa across the room playing on his phone. He wore a pitch black hoodie and black ripped jeans to match. He didn't seem to be too much older than Patton, maybe a couple of years, yet something seemed off about him. However, Patton couldn't quite put his finger on what. He wasn't often quick to judge people but something was different about this man, if you could call him that. He stayed silent, not wanting to disturb this man and being slightly scared of him yet simultaneously intrigued.
Soon, the man lifted his head from his phone and noticed Patton was awake. Patton gulped as he stared at the man in fear. However, he couldn't deny how handsome he found him. His hair as black as the night sky was perfectly swept across his face, partially covering his deep purple eyes which had a glisten to them. His pure white skin was completely smooth with no spots or blemishes ruining it. His complexion was absolutely perfect, too perfect for him to be a human.
"Looks like you're finally awake" The man finally spoke in a smooth, husky, captivating voice as he pulled himself to his feet. No matter how hard he tried, Patton was unable to take his eyes off of the mysterious man. Whether it was because he was petrified or entranced by his beauty, he was unsure. The man gave him a confused look when he noticed Patton staring at him. "Is everything okay?"
Patton quickly shook his head, snapping out of the trance he was in. He silently nodded, removing his hands from his head. For some unknown reason, his head was no longer aching, although that was probably because this mysterious figure distracted him with his dashing looks. That was when Patton noticed something for the first time: a bandage wrapped around his left wrist. He let out a small gasp of shock and confusion, looking up at the man once more. "W-what happened? Where a-am I? Who are y-you?" He stuttered, mentally cursing himself for doing so.
The man sighed as he sat down next to Patton, who subconsciously shuffled away from him. This only made the man sigh again heavier and give Patton a slightly sympathetic look as he moved closer to him. He gently brushed Patton's hair out of his face which surprisingly seemed to calm Patton down. "Hey there's no need to be scared. I'm not gonna hurt you. I couldn't hurt someone as handsome as you" He winked causing a light rosy blush to tint Patton's cheeks.
Patton giggled lightly and took in some deep breaths, now feeling a lot calmer. "Sorry I'm just a little...confused that's all"
"It's fine" The man shrugged. "I kinda understand why. Sorry to confuse you. My name's Virgil by the way" He gave Patton a small smile.
"Virgil huh?" That's a nice name" Patton gave Virgil a friendly smile, causing Virgil to now be the one blushing. "Mine's Patton"
"That's a nice name too. Such a beautiful name to match the most handsome man I've ever laid my eyes upon" He gently brought Patton's hand to his lips and softly kissed it, darkening Patton's blush.
"You've clearly never looked in a mirror then" Patton giggled and Virgil chuckled lightly. "So um why am I here?"
Virgil sighed and looked away guiltily, the joy he had just witnessed quickly being replaced with guilt. "I think you'd be best off not knowing. You'd hate me if I told you. Heck, I even hate myself for it"
Patton frowned and gently lifted up Virgil's chin so that the two locked eyes. "Aww don't say that. I could never hate you. I promise. Besides, I've only just met you and I already feel a connection"
The guilt in Virgil's eyes was immediately replaced with a glimmer of hope. "Really?"
Patton nodded. "Really?"
"Okay I suppose I could tell you. Promise not to freak out though?"
"I pinkie promise" Patton giggled.
Virgil stifled a giggle as he took in some deep breaths. "Well you see, I'm a vampire. And I have to feed on human blood to survive. So I may have borrowed some of yours. I'm really sorry but I had no choice. I just saw you walking on the streets and you looked so handsome and sweet and kind and amazing and I couldn't resist. I hoped you wouldn't mind too much. You may have passed out so I brought you back here. Please don't hate me" He rambled, closing his eyes tightly, worried about what Patton's reaction might be.
Much to his surprise, he felt Patton's warm lips pressed against his in a soft, gentle kiss as a reply. He smiled dreamily as he happily returned it, wrapping his arms around Patton's waist as Patton wrapped his around Virgil's neck. After a while, the two reluctantly pulled away.
"Aww Virgil, I don't hate you. I get it"
Virgil raised an eyebrow. "You do?" He asked in confusion
Patton nodded. "You had to drink some of my blood to survive. And honestly, I'm kinda glad you did because otherwise, I would have never met the love of my life" He gave him a warm smile and Virgil blushed.
"So you're not freaked out that I'm a vampire?"
"Of course not silly" Patton giggled. "It's actually kinda cute. And listen, I'm happy for you to drink my blood and for me to stay here on one condition"
"What is it?"
"That you'll be my boyfriend" He said with a cheeky grin
Virgil giggled but couldn't hide his bright smile. "You tricky minx" He booped Patton's nose. "But okay. Deal"
He pulled Patton into one last passionate kiss and the two closed their eyes in bliss, savouring this magical moment and wishing it could last forever.
