Crying

Virgil was curled up in a ball in the corner of his room, his face drenched in tears. He had learnt to silence his tears to avoid drawing attention to himself. He hated the other sides hearing his cries because he didn't want to bring the group down. He didn't want Thomas to have another panic attack. Suddenly, he heard a faint noise coming from one of the other rooms. Trying to ignore it, he attempted to calm himself down by using his breathing method. But he heard it again, getting louder and louder. It sounded like crying. Who else was crying?

Normally, he would have tried to investigate but he was too wound up in his own thoughts to worry. But the voice sounded familiar, like he had heard them cry before. Panic immediately struck his face as it turned paler than normal. It was Patton.

Quickly wiping away his own tears, he sprinted out of his door, slamming it shut, and burst open Patton's door.

"Patton I'm here. What's wro-" he began before noticing Patton lying on the sofa calmly watching tv.

"Oh hey kiddo" Patton smiled, "Is everything ok?"

"Yeah It's just... never mind" Virgil replied, unsure on whether you confront Patton about the crying he heard. He was anxious about making a fool of himself in front of Patton so thought that it was best to stay quiet.

"Would you like to come and join me?" Patton asked. Virgil nodded, sitting down next to him. Patton sat up and placed his arm around him as Virgil lay his head on his shoulder.

A few hours later, Virgil had fallen asleep and Patton looked down at his cute, sleeping face and smiled. For the first time in a while, they were both happy. Things had been stressful for both of them with Deceit coming back but it was nice for them to just spend some time together and just forget about everything. He gently kissed him on the forehead before falling asleep as well.
