Chapter 7.
The next few days were full of craziness. The Marauders were always up to something, wether it was going cow tipping at night, or setting off mini fireworks at dinner... or that one time at the ice cream parlor.
Soon it was two days before Christmas, and the day before James and Sirius left to go to James' house for Christmas.
"I'm going to do it today." Remus told his mother, standing in the master bedroom of his home.
He had told his mother, and his mother only, about everything. Except for the soul mates part. She was thrilled. Though she made Remus promise to wait until they got out of school! Mrs. Lupin had gotten Remus a ring to give to Samantha, so he could propose to her again. "The right way" as he thought.
The ring he planned on proposing to her with was the ring his father had proposed to his mother with, and his father's father to his mother. He hoped to keep the tradition going.

After a huge, Christmas Eve Eve.... dinner, the Marauders, minus Peter... Alfred, and Mrs. and Mr. Lupin sat around Alfred's living room opening gifts. The Marauders shared with each other, while the adults did the same.
James gave everyone chocolates with different fillings, such as ketchup, mustard, and... well, you can imagine. And you never knew which you were going to each. Ew!
Sirius gave everyone a different supply for their next big prank for when they got back to Hogwarts. This prank is going to be the BIGGEST prank yet.... and only Sirius knew what it was going to be... oh no.
Remus gave everyone books. Ugh, you'd think, but he got James and Sirius books about pranks, and prank masters, and he gave Samantha one all on history mysteries... something she enjoyed a lot!
Sam gave everyone something different. He gave James and Sirius huge baskets full of Zonko's and Honeydukes things. Lots of supplies for pranks, and lots of yummy candy to eat while thinking of who, what, where, and when to use them.
For Remus she got a three books. They were interesting books on the history of Azkaban, one of interesting facts of the Wizarding world, and the last was a book, recently published, about the haunted Shrieking Shack... which really wasn't haunted, but just used as a werewolf shack.
After a while of pranks, and laughing, Remus asked Sam if she could come outside for a second. She nodded, slipping on her cute pair of boots, and grabbing her pea coat off the hook, she stepped out into the snowy street with Remus.
He smiled as he took her hand in his, feeling how the two perfectly fit together.
They walked down the street, lit by the glowing street lamps. The snow was soft, and filling the air everywhere. They didn't talk, because they didn't need to.
At the cross section of two walking roads Remus stopped Sam. He turned her so she was looking at him.
Nervously, Remus fumbled in his pocket for the ring. Taking it out, he slowly got down on one knee on the snow covered street, and held the ring out.
"I know I've already proposed to you, and I know we're already engaged, but I wanted to do this again. The proper way. With a ring.
"I love you. So much. And, I know we're soul mates and all, and knowing that doesn't change a thing. I love how you're smart, hilarious, kind, and beautiful. And you're mine.
"Will you marry me?" Remus asked.
Samantha, with tears of joy in her eyes, nodded quickly. Remus smiled, stood up, and slipped the ring on her finger.
