Twenty Five
"Beshycakes! Ang ganda nito!" Jewel exclaimed when she saw a very sexy, red bandage dress that seems to hug the body of anyone who wears it.
I gulped thinking how revealing it will look on me.
"Hindi bagay kay Brit, yan! So unlike her! She is perfect with this one." Joana shook her head and pulled out a simple black split dress which gives a subtle touch of sexiness to it.
"Mga besh, mga besh, mga besh!" Alvin slapped the dresses away from him as he walked at the center with a blue gown in his hand. "Walang-wala yan sa damit na to! Panigurado, luluwa ang mga mata ni Papi Damon o kahit sinong mapapatingin kay marecakes natin! Fit this one instead, marecakes!" He shoved the blue sleeveless sweetheart neckline split dress.
My heart did a somersault at the mention of his name but I got disappointed all of a sudden. Ever since he stood me up, he began to be distant from me. We grew apart.
"Mukhang yan, beshycakes?" Jewel asked and pushed me gently to the fitting room. She assisted me by holding my sling bag and the two dresses aside from the blue one which was recommended by Alvin.
"Ang sikip na natin dito, beshycakes! Wait mo ko na lang sa labas. Magsusukat na ako!" I changed the conversation and pushed her back out of the fitting room. She grunted in response while I chuckled before closing the door.
Sighing, I started to remove my clothes and changed first into the red bandage dress suggested by Jewel. I adjusted my bra strap and stared at myself at the full length mirror.
My cheeks warmed up as I saw some of my skin showing from the dress.
"Beshycakes! Patingin kame!" The voice came from Alvin and I obliged, opening the door and I strutted out of the fitting room.
"Ang hot naman nyan!" Jewel whistled and I saw Tristan's expression dimmed a little.
"Too revealing." Tristan commented while he was waiting for us.
"Yes. 'Stan is right." Joana seconded and said, "try the other one I handed to you."
I nodded and went inside again. It took me almost ten minutes to change into the black dress and trodded out the room.
"Now, that looks so gorgeous on you!" Alvin remarked thoughtfully, but his eyes glistened when he remembered the blue dress he got for me from the rack. "Try mine! Mas maganda at fierce ka dun!"
I shook my head at him and I returned to the fitting room to change into the last dress. As soon as I head out, gasps from my friends greeted me.
"She looks so perfect!"
"Ang ganda ni Ate Girl, huhu! Sana all!"
"Ang swerte ng bf nya, dude!"
"Sana all, maganda at makinis ang kutis!"
"Pa-ambunan naman ng ganda dyan! Beke nemen!"
"Besh! Ang ganda mo! OMG!" Jewel exclaimed and began praising me.
"Told you! Ako talaga fairy godmother mo!" Alvin laughed and looked at me proudly.
"Ano masasabi mo, 'Stan! Ang gorjas ng frienny natin!" Joana grinned at me and snuck a glance at him.
"You look perfect, Brit." Tristan said smiling approvingly at me.
"Yan ang manok ko!" Alvin whooped that earned a nudge from Jewel and my forehead creased in confusion.
"Huh? Ano yun, 'Vin?" I asked shifting my gaze from him and Stan.
"Ang sabi ko, ang sexy mo! So, ano na ang pipiliin at bibilhin mo?" Joana asked.
"Saglit, magpapalit lang ako ng damit." I said and they nodded.
After a few moments, I came out with the dresses in my hand. They were all waiting for my answer but I just smiled at them.
"Babayaran ko lang ito sa cashier. Dito na lang kayo." I said, winking at them as I approached the cashier, not too far from the fitting room.
I returned after a few minutes with my dress and four more paper bags with me.
"Anyare? Bakit naging lima ang paperbag mo? Iniwan mo kami ng tatlo lang ang dress na dala mo. Bumalik ka ng lima ang bitbit." Jewel commented in shock.
"Iba ka talaga, beshycakes! Yayamanin!", Alvin chortled as we started strolling again.
We passed by the bakeshop and we began giving knowing glances at each other. The smell of chocolate filled our nostrils and it was enough to invite us all inside.
"Marurupok!" We said in unison and laughed as we sat at an empty table of five at the back of the bakeshop.
"Ano orders nyo?" Alvin asked and he began to stand up.
"Are you sure?" Joana asked him, doubtful.
"Ayaw nyo? Oks lang, mada-" Alvin said singsongingly.
"-salamat, Vinaaaa!" Me and Stan chorused and we erupted into fit of giggles again.
Soon, Alvin and Jewel went to the counter to order us some snacks.
When we finished our food, we headed out the mall and on our way home.
Before we separated ways, I shoved one paperbag into their hands. Disbelief and amazement were evident on their faces.
"Hala?"
"Sure ka na dyan?"
"OMG ka marecakes!"
"Besh! Pinapaiyak mo ko!"
I just gave them a smile before I wave at them and drive my car to my humble abode.
I owe it to these people. They were there for me through ups and downs.
They are my family.
They deserve much more than simple presents.
