Zane's POV

I stop at Lucinda's house, furious. I storm up to her doorstep and pound on her wooden door, "LUCINDA! OPEN UP!" I growl. 

"Little busy right now! Come back later!" Lucinda exclaims. 

"Lucinda, nor Katelyn are home right now. Leave a message after the beep." Katelyn pauses for a moment, "Beeeeeep." She finishes. 

"I know you're in there, guys. Don't try to fool me." I don't have one bit of amusement in my voice. 

"Message denied." Katelyn states. 

"MESSAGE DENIED MY--" I start. 

"Zane help!" Travis wails from inside. 

"Travis shut up!" Lucinda whisper-yells. 

Somehow, I can hear it. I burst through the door, taking it off its hinges, "LUCINDA! KATELYN!" I bellow. 

"We're not here, go away!" Katelyn snaps. 

I search the house until I tear past a door and see Travis sitting in the corner of a bedroom, curled up in a little ball. He rocks back and forth. Once Travis notices my presence, he looks up at me with his beady, emerald green eyes. 

"Run." He stares into my soul, "Please. Run." He pleads. 

"I can't just leave you here!" I fight back. 

"Run." Travis commands. 

He doesn't budge. I hesitantly turn and see both, Lucinda and Katelyn standing there with furious looks on their faces. 

"It's not polite to intrude." Lucinda says. 

Katelyn raises her fist. Things seem to go in slow motion as I see her fist come towards my face. I feel a deep pain. The pain gets stronger, but before a tear can slip, blackness takes over me and I soon find myself growing numb to everything.

Garroth's POV

I see Zane's car pull up to Lucinda's house. Me, being the nosy big brother I am, run over to Lucinda's house and watch the situation from a bird's eye view. I see Katelyn raise her fist and punch Zane in the face. He falls to the ground, out cold.

"Zane!" Travis cries. 

Lucinda steps over Zane's body, Katelyn following shortly behind, "We'll do anything for the one we love." Lucinda says with a tilted head. Oh no...

•Third Person•

Garroth's anger gets higher and higher by the second as he sees the scene play on. He decides that something needs to be done, so he hops down from his spot and makes his way to Zane. Garroth drags Zane out by the shoulders. Travis notices that Zane's gone. A small smile forms on his face, knowing that his lover is safe. Garroth carries Zane to his house. Garroth steps into the doorway, in a panic. 

"Laurance!" Garroth exclaims. 

Laurance pokes his head over the couch, "Yes?" He asks, totally chill, oblivious to the situation. 

"Get Zane settled somewhere. Lucinda and Katelyn have Travis held hostage in Lucinda's house and I'm going to go retrieve him. Get Zane in my bed before I get back." Garroth hands Zane's limp body over to Laurance. 

Laurance doesn't have a chance to say anything because Garroth's already out the door by the time he opens his mouth. Garroth bolts down the street, his blood boiling. Garroth sees Lucinda and Katelyn hopping into Zane's car, with an unconscious Travis. Garroth hops into action as he rips the passenger door open and grabs Katelyn by the arm. He tears her seatbelt in the process. Garroth does the same to Lucinda. Once those two are out of the way, Garroth grabs Travis' body. "Never mess with my baby brother ever again!" Garroth growls, then runs away with Travis in his arms.

If anybody ever hurts my baby brothers, they'll be in a world of hurt afterward.
