Chapter Six ♚ It's Always Been You

AN: Blake's outfit is the same as the previous chapters. She will get an outfit change soon, I promise.

After the colorful display of displeasement from Elizabeth leaving the Black Swan, Blake and Will were below decks of the Interceptor, the woman lightly dipping the cloth Rey, a member of Thea's crew, had given her into a bowl of rum before their departure.

"I think rum is overly grotesque," Blake complained softly, speaking to the man for the first time since being alone, "My father used to drown himself in rum and whiskey to numb his pain of Sara."

Will lightly took the cloth from her hand and Blake watched as he dabbed it on her cut lightly, suppressing her wince. Blake licked her lips as Will met her eyes, a small smile finding the pair.

"Did you miss me?" Blake tried, teasing the man making Will shake his head and say, "I can say that I did. Part of me felt as though it went with you."

Blake wrinkled her nose, chuckling lightheartedly, "You cannot live life without my fun."

"I simply cannot live life without you," Will spoke softly, brown irises staring into her green, "I think I found that out in a terrible manner."

Blake gulped and Will turned back to grab another dry cloth to wrap around her wrist, pausing when he saw a dark ink coming from her wrist.

"What is that?" He questioned, going to lift her sleeve.

Blake's eyes widened when he uncovered the message she had written to him, Will staring at the ink before looking at his own forearm. She sighed lightly and pulled his sleeve to reveal his skin, putting their arms against one another.

Will's eyes moved quickly and Blake whispered, "I thought that after all this time, the thought that it was me would have crossed your mind, William."

"It's you?" Will stammered, meeting her eyes once more, "You're my soulmate?"

"It's always been me, you duke of limbs," Blake shook her head, voice light, "Every conversation, every laugh. It was me."

Will gulped, heart beating so loud in his ears he was sure Blake could hear it, "Why did you not tell me? How long have you known?"

Blake licked her lips, eyes shutting easily, "The day I found you. I saw the wet ink on your wrist much like this moment. I thought you would have figured it out, you had so many opportunities."

Will was quiet for a moment before Blake shifted uncomfortably in the silence, moving to take the dry cloth from his hands. The movement took Will from his shock, simply helping Blake wrap her hands.

Blake winced as he tied it, making him say, "I'm sorry. You know my blacksmith's hands are rough."

"I never said I didn't like that, handsome."

The familiar nickname of his soulmate caused Will to stop for a moment, fingers trailing up her arm. Their eyes were locked and Blake's cheeks warmed, teeth pulling on the inside of her cheek as she did not know how Will would react.

When the man leaned closer within a second, Blake couldn't help but match his urgency, nose brushing as he said the one word she longed to hear from the moment they had met.

A gasp left her lips as his breath hit her, an involuntary shudder leaving her at the word. Her hands trailed from his to Will's jaw, eyelids feeling heavy from their proximity.

"Please say it again," She urged, nose hitting his, "Please, Will."

"Blake," He whispered, pulling back slightly to look at her properly.

Blake's grin was wider than he had ever seen, the woman running her thumb along the small beard he was growing.

"You don't know how long I've waited to hear that," Blake matched his tone, shaking her head lightly, "How I longed to have you know it was me that was made for you. Somehow you had to have known, didn't you?"

Will chuckled a bit, placing his forehead on hers, "I should have known. It's always been you. Always, Blake."

Blake hummed and nudged her nose with his, their hearts beating in sync as their eyes closed in unison. Will's fingers pulled on her sleeves and Blake finally opened her eyes, moving slightly when he trailed his hand to the side of her neck.

The man's sight were on her lips and Blake smiled as she whispered, "You may kiss me, if you wish, William."

Will's only answer was to push forward and place his lips on Blake's, the woman gasping against him before kissing back. The soft feeling of Blake 's lips made Will shiver, involuntarily moving in closer to his soulmate.

Their mouths moved against one another as Blake held him close, hands on his jaw while one of his placed itself on her waist. A warm feeling washed over the pair, all thoughts leaving them but the idea of one another.

For so long Blake wished to have a love she read of, to have a soulmate that wanted her for who she was. Not just her title due to her uncle.

And Will longed to be the one to show his love to her, doing what words could not express but physical touch could. He could show her that he loved her, with a simple finger running down her jaw, or the connection gathered through eye contact after a laugh.

The pair were indeed soulmates and they felt it with every fiber in them, only wishing to be as close as possible to the other. Every movement the same, every thought similar.

Blake and Will seemed to be magnets, fighting against the pull of one another until they could not take it and professedly connected in the most beautiful way possible.

Their mouths were slow against one another, every touch electric allowing the other to feel how close they were. After what seemed to be minutes, the pair pulled back breathless, hearts pounding against their ribcages loud enough to ring in their ears.

Blake's lips were bright red, a slight pout swelling her top lip from Will's on hers. Will eyes were still closed as he pulled what air he could into his lungs, the brunette woman running her thumb along his cheekbone while she watched.

His eyes opened slowly and Blake smiled, hair slightly teased from Will's hand that was still tangled in it. Will's grin matched hers and the pair chuckled lightly together, hearts full.

"I love you, Will," Blake finally said back, the man's face holding shock when he realized he had indeed told her his feelings days prior, "I love you with my everything. I want you, your kind heart and ridiculous humor. I want it all, if you'll have me."

Tears glossed over Will's eyes and he nodded, laughing before he said, "Yes. I will have you as long as you take me."

Blake smiled and kissed his cheek, the man whispering against her skin, "I love you, Blake."

She looked to him and her lips curled further, heart feeling light in her chest. Blake wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled herself against him, the soulmates almost falling off their chairs from her movement.

Will's arms found themselves around Blake's waist, holding onto himself from the small width of her body. His fingers tangled in her curls when his head nestled in her neck, the overwhelming sense of home filling his heart.

Port Royal was simply a place, Blake was home. She always had been, through every look and laugh, smile or cry.

She was always here and, somehow, though she was in fact smaller than him by ten inches, she was strong enough to be his home. To protect him through everything.

Blake and Will pulled back after a moment and the man went to say something, hand falling down her chest after untangling from her hair. His finger caught the medallion he had lost years ago, brows furrowing at the Aztec gold.

"It's yours," Blake whispered, heart racing against his hand on her skin.

She reached behind her and undid the clasp, closing it once more before showing it to him.

"I thought I'd lost it the day they rescued me," Will shook his head in humor, "You had it all this time?"

"I know it was from your father, Will, and I'm sorry I took it... I was scared what they would do if they found it."

Will looked to her in confusion, "What would they have done?"

Blake's breath was sharp before she whispered, "You don't know, do you?"

His bemusement only grew and Blake's voice did the same, knowing she would be the one to tell him of his father.

"Will, it's a pirate medallion," She was calm, knowing the man would not be, "Aztec gold. It's why it was used in the ritual."

Will's eyes hardened as his brows fell, understanding.

"It wasn't your blood they needed. It was my father's blood. My blood. The blood of a pirate."

The man's jaw clenched and Blake's face fell, hands finding his jaw, "Will, it doesn't mean anything. Look who you are. Such a kind man with a heart of gold. You risked everything to find me, not even knowing I was your soulmate. You're entirely different."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

Blake sighed, saying, "Because I knew the reaction from you. Will, you can be so harsh to yourself. I didn't want to see the belittlement of my soulmate."

Will was quiet for a moment before he whispered, "You told them your name was Turner."

"Yes," Blake licked her lips, "Because I needed you safe. What would I have done if-"

Will cut her off, moving back making her hands fall to her lap harshly, "You could have died!"

"I was willing to die to know you were safe," Blake pleaded lightly despite her face hardening at his tone, "I knew you would protect Elizabeth. I need you both safe."

"You're always putting everyone above yourself!" Will stood, turning and running his hand down his face, "Please, for once, put yourself first, Miss Hopper."

The name had Blake's teeth grind, the frustration evident on Will's face making her anger grow.

"Excuse me for protecting the one's I love, Mr. Turner," Her voice was now hard, vibrating deep in his chest without even raising her tone, "I won't apologize for loving so hard I cannot take them leaving. I already had that happen with my family, I will not stand and watch it happen once more if I could stop it."

Blake slammed the medallion on the table and walked away, bare feet hitting the wood. Will's head fell back as he looked to the ceiling of the boat, eyes lightly closing when he let out a sigh.

"I am a duke of limbs."

As Blake stepped onto the dock of the ship, her brows furrowed, seeing Joshamee Gibbs yell at the crew.

"What's going on?" Blake questioned, finding Elizabeth, who was leaning over the side of the boat behind them.

Elizabeth turned to her cousin and said, "They've caught up to us."

Blake's eyes widened and she leaned over the boat as well, fingers gripping onto the wood when she saw the deep, dark sails of the Black Pearl.

"Fuck me," She growled, slapping the side before she pushed herself off.

Blake moved to the helm area the quarterdeck, Elizabeth following as she said to Anamaria, "This is the fastest ship in the Caribbean."

"Tell them that after they've caught us," Anamaria sneered, holding onto the ship's wheel.

Elizabeth made her way over to the women, saying, "We're shallower in the draft, right?"

"Aye."

"Can't we lose them amongst those shoals?" Elizabeth asked, Anamaria and Gibb's face falling.

Blake nodded, brows furrowed in thought as she said, "It could work. We don't have to outrun them very long. Just long enough."

Anamaria nodded, voice growing to the crew, "Lighten the ship! Stem to stern!"

"Anything we can afford to lose, see that it's lost!" Gibbs yelled to the crew, Blake making her way down the stairs to help them throw things over board.

Blake worked beside the crew, grunting as she helped Cotton, throwing barrels full of rum and other items into the ocean.

She thanked the man as they met eyes, Cotton only nodding making Blake say, "I like you. You seem nice."

Blake then turned as Cotton lightly smiled despite the situation, the woman moving across the deck to throw crates over the side of the ship. Movement caught her eye as Will, who came out from below the deck at the commotion, grabbed onto the coarse rope, holding onto it to look at the Black Pearl.

The ship continued to trail the Interceptor, Will stepping on the cannon as Marty, a pirate of shorter stature, went to push it into the ocean.

"We're going to need that," Will told, Marty only nodding before walking away.

Will turned to Blake, who only gave him a grim smile, still upset from their previous conversation.

She walked up the steps back to Elizabeth as Anamaria said, "It was a good plan, up till now."

"Gibbs! We have to make a stand," Will followed her, placing his hand on her waist as he stepped to her side, "We must fight."

Blake turned to him, meeting the side of his head before she turned back, deciding not to stop him.

Yes, she was mad at him, but his touch brought the slightest bit of comfort given their situation.

"Load the guns."

Anamaria scoffed, "With what?"

"Anything! Everything! Anything we have left," Will told through the howling wind.

Blake nodded, saying, "Anything that will fit has to do some sort of damage. We did not throw all the cannon balls overboard, yet."

Gibbs was quiet in thought before he walked to the crew, saying, "Load the guns! Case shot and langrage! Nails and crushed glass."

The entirety of the crew went down below the ship, filling the cannons with utensils, glass bottles and other various items they could find.

"The Pearl's gonna luff up on our port quarter!" Gibbs called, "She'll rake us without presenting a target."

Elizabeth licked her lips, eyes moving quickly before she met Anamaria's eyes, "Lower the anchor on the right side."

When everyone was silent, Elizabeth yelled, "On the starboard side!"

"It certainly has the element of surprise," Will agreed, head falling to the side a bit.

Blake sighed, shaking her head lightly, "It'll allow us to go side by side, wouldn't that just allow them to blow holes in the ship?"

"She's right," Anamaria nodded, meeting Elizabeth's eyes once more, "You're daft, lady! You both are!"

"Daft like Jack!" Gibbs chuckled to himself before turning and telling the crew their orders.

Blake shook her head, resting her forehead in her hands as she said, "Dear god, I get captured for only a few days and my cousin and soulmate become Captain Jack Sparrow."

After a moment, the crew dropped the anchor, letting it drag along the ocean floor before catching on coral. The ship immediately tipped, Blake grasping onto Will's arms as he moved them to the beam behind the woman.

Blake's eyes grew when her back hit the damp wood, head tilted upwards toward Will's chin. Will held her close when the ship moved, the pair chest to chest allowing them to feel their deep intakes of air as they did so.

His fingers were pressed into her wrists, Blake's hands finding his upper arms to hold them steady. After a moment, the ship fell straight, the soulmates pulling apart.

Blake's mouth bubbled but before she could speak, Will released his hold on her, turning and walking away. A breath escaped her lips and Blake gulped, shaking her head before finding Elizabeth.

The Interceptor paralleled the Black Pearl and the pirates of each crew screamed at one another, Will yelling at the men to fire the cannon.

Elizabeth followed, saying, "Fire all!"

Cannons went off along the side of each ship, Blake covering the back of her neck as a cannon blew apart the wood beside her. She grasped onto Elizabeth and they went to the side of the ship for cover, finding Will and Gibb's, who were shooting at the Black Pearl.

She grabbed a pistol from beside Will and immediately began firing through the smoke, watching as a member of the opposing crew fell into the water.

"We could use a few more ideas, lass!" Gibbs yelled at Elizabeth, who was beside Blake.

"It's your turn!"

"We need us a devil's dowry."

A barrel of a pistol suddenly was on Blake's temple, the woman stilling as Anamaria, who was indeed holding the gun, looked to Will, "We'll give them her!"

"She's not the one they are after," Will sneered, "Get off her."

When Anamaria didn't move, Blake threw her elbow back into the woman's stomach, turning quickly to push her leg beside hers and throw her to the ground with a loud thud. Blake stood with her own pistol pointed to Anamaria's chest.

"Don't ever point a gun at me again," Blake growled, bending down lightly, "I've had enough of the pirate shit today. Fuck with my life again and I will shoot you faster than you can comprehend."

Blake's jaw clenched when she looked back to Will, hand going to her chest to find the medallion Barbossa was after. After a moment, Will's eyes widened, realizing he had left it below.

She watched as he ran across the deck and turned, going back to shooting the crew of the Black Pearl, not that they could die. Blake continued to shoot multiple of the pirates, Elizabeth doing the same beside her.

A shock of cannon fire shook the Interceptor and Blake steadied herself while the sails fell forward into the Black Pearl. The opposing crew began to throw rope with grappling hooks on the end, swinging over to the Royal Navy's ship.

Elizabeth and Blake shot the men as they stepped foot on the ship, the elder cousin tossing her gun to the side. She grabbed the sword on Joshamee Gibbs' hip, unsheathing it and beginning to fight the pirates.

She swung viciously, feet practically bouncing off the floor as she stepped forward and clashed her sword with a pirate's blade. Blake gasped when the pirate was seemingly shot in the hand, his sword falling causing the woman to surge forward and use her body strength to push him off the side of the ship.

Blake watched as he plummeted to the ocean, turning to see Elizabeth pointing a gun her way.

"Thanks," Blake whispered, eyes wide.

Elizabeth nodded, voice wavering as she seemed to be in shock by her own actions, "Of course."

A man came up behind Elizabeth and Blake growled, saying, "Drop."

Elizabeth did as asked, Blake gripping onto the hilt of her sword before twisting her wrist and throwing it over handedly. The sword dug into the pirates chest and the man screamed, Blake rushing him and slamming him into the wood pillar behind Elizabeth.

Blake pushed the blade into the man until the hilt couldn't move farther, having hit the wood behind the him. She grabbed him by the beard and pulled the sword from his body harshly, yelling when she used her might to send him off the side of the ship.

The woman went to turn to Elizabeth when a hand landed on her shoulder, Blake facing the accuser immediately making the person grab her hand to keep from swinging. She let out a loud sigh when she met the eyes of Jack Sparrow.

"That's not very nice," Jack pouted lightly, letting go of her hand.

Blake rolled her eyes, "Fuck nice. I'm angry and tired. I have had a very long few days and wish to get this over with."

Jack didn't comment as he asked, "Where's the medallion?"

"Why do you care?"

Blake went to wipe a stray hair on her forehead and Jack caught her wrapped hand, pointedly looking at it before she pulled back sternly.

Jack made a noise of awe and said, "Where is dear William?"

The woman's heart grew heavy in her chest at his words, head turning to where she had seen the man enter the deck below.

"Will."

Blake and Elizabeth rushed over to the grate that had broken wooden pillars littered atop it, the brunettes peering through.

"Will!" Blake gaped, seeing the man being flooded by water.

Elizabeth went to grab onto the grate and Blake pushed the wood, saying, "I'm going to get you out. Don't worry."

Four pirates came up behind the cousins and the women screamed as they harshly grabbed onto their hair and arms, pulling them along.

"Will!" Blake cried, knowing if no one could get to him, he would drown.

"Blake!"

Blake elbowed the man holding her jaw in the jaw, fighting against them with every ounce of strength she could muster. Her fists pounded on their chests until she reached up and scratched the man holding onto her arm and waist, the pirate yelping.

Blake spit on the man as she heard Barbossa yell across the two boats, earning cheers from his crew, "Gents, our hope is restored."

Elizabeth stopped fighting the men holding her, Blake turning to see the pirate captain eyeing her from the Black Pearl, that was still across from the Interceptor.

All Blake could do was growl.

"Damn that man to the deepest pit of hell."
