You and Ash were walking back home as Casey and April went their merry way. Ash was talking about how cool school was as you checked your phone. You say you missed a call from your dad. "Ash, hold on." Ash walked back to you as you opened your voicemail.

Ash waited as you listened to the voicemail. You heard crashes, yelling, and your dad telling you something. "(Y/N)! .... Stay away from the Foot! .... Keep Ash safe! .... Mutagen! ... Ninjas!" Then it cut off. Ash had tears in his eyes as you lowered your phone.

You both didn't say a word as you bolted home. Leo was heading your window when he heard you yelling for your dad. "DAD! DAD, ARE YOU HERE!? MR. JOHN!? ANYONE!" Leo knocked on the window until he saw Ash coming to open it. Leo rushed in, thanking Ash on his way, as he heard you replaying the voicemail.

He watched as you wrote the words down on a post-it. Leo's eyes widened to the words 'Foot' and 'mutagen'. He waited until you placed the pencil down as he hugged you. You instantly leaned into him as he rubbed your back.

"L-Leo..." Leo looked at Ash as Ash had fear clouding his brown eyes, "Who is the 'Foot'?" Leo took a breath as he kept calming you down. "An organization run by a cruel man who goes by 'Shredder'." You took some deep breaths as Leo nudged your head gently. "You guys gave to find somewhere to hide."

"We don't have relatives here. We'd have to nearly cross the country to get to the nearest relative." You explained, wiping your eyes. "You could... live with us. You did save my life. I should repay the favor." Ash looked at you as you nodded. "Ok."

Leo went into Ash's room to help him pack as you walked to your room. You instantly picked up a framed picture and put it in your suitcase. Next was clothes, personal items, a pillow, two blankets, and a small wolf plushie. Leo was waiting at your doorway as he saw you trying to keep it together.

"(Y/N)? You ready?" Leo asked. You nodded, placing your plushie into the suitcase and flipping your jacket hood over your head. Leo took your suitcase as Ash got his book bag on. You grabbed your book bag as well before following Leo.

- Later -

Leo walked into the lair and was looking around. "Ok. Come on." You and Ash quietly walked in. "And where have you been Leonardo?" You and Ash yelped before all three of you turned to see a giant rat. "Uhh..." Leo sighed as he placed your suitcases down.

"Sensei, these two are the two I told you that saved me. The Foot has taken their father and they have no trusted place to go." The rat listened until see you walk up to him with the post-it. You watched as the rat took it and read it.

"My father never tries to call me during a school day unless it's important sir." The rat looked at you and saw the fear and concern in your eyes. Raph, Donnie, and Mikey walked in as the rat laid his hand on your head. "Very well. Besides, Leo owes you a tremendous debt. You may call me Master Splinter."

You smiled and nodded to him. Leo smiled as the three turtles rushed to meet you. Raph walked up to you and held out his hand. "Thanks for helping Leo." You accepted it and had a small handshake. "The least I could do for people like us."
