I run through the hallways, even though I'm not supposed to. The teacher said the usual," Math terms for being late." I always have math terms. The class was more boring than ever, and so was the other classes until lunch. I trudge through the crowds to the cafeteria, and I get into line. While waiting, Some football players pushed me aside and got in front of me. I stood up and ignored it. It happens all the time, so it wasn't a big deal. But it was for Joseph, who was behind me. He stood up next to the jocks and said," Hey! You just can't do that!" It was nice of him to do something like this, but it was pointless, Joseph was way smaller. I tried to say," Joseph! You idiot! You'll never -" but one of the players pushed me into a table, grinning," Oh we need to teach him a lesson." The tougher player poked him on the forehead and laughed. Joseph clenched his fist and threw one. I couldn't actually believe it. He managed to knock down a football player. Of course he got a detention for knocking him out, but the principal lowered the cost for it was kinda self defense. Joseph laughed," Well, not so bad, huh?" I couldn't help but manage a smile. After he got his lunch, he had to go to the principals office. But before he did he said," Hey! Do you wanna hang out after my detention today? I promise it will be cool!" I had to think about, I don't really like him, but he did kinda save me, so heh, why not? I said," Sure, I'll meet you outside the school when your done." Joseph smiled and walked out with his food. I sighed and walked to my table to eat alone. The school doesn't do a good job cleaning up, so I had to eat over cheese crumbs. And since the school had low funding, the food is barf, but it still beats my moms cooking, and most of the time we order out. Just some more horrible facts of my everyday life.

   But I have a feeling Joseph made it interesting....
