Act 1: Origins

Author's POV
This story begins in a high school setting. Walking down the corridor is our main character Shaylie Winters. She had her head down as she was walking, avoiding other's gazed. She was but a normal nerd, but also a wallflower at times.

On the other side of the corridor was her bully Sarah McCullum. She wasn't popular but not unknown either. Nobody really understands why she bullies Shaylie so much or why she hates her. All they know is that it's starting to get out of hand. Some have even stepped in to stop Sarah but most are afraid of her.

Just for reference, Shaylie and Sarah used to be friends but has a falling out. They are both sophomores. Let's get back to the story.

Shaylie's POV
"What am I going to do," I thought to myself, "She is standing right next to my locker. I really don't want her to confront me this early in the morning. Besides I already have everything I need for my first class in my backpack. I'm just gonna head on to class."

I just passed by my locker. I looked up breifly and my eyes met with Sarah's. She smirked and mouthed, "I'll get you later." I shivered in fear and quickened my pace. I walked into the classroom and headed straight to my seat.

I am always the first one in. A minute after I sat down the bell rang signaling it's time for class. Soon the classroom started filling up with students. A little while after the teacher walked in saying to open to page 224. I giggled as did some of the other students. The teacher was wondering what everyone was giggling about until realization dawned on his face and he chuckled along with us. After that class started as normal. I was also grateful that Sarah wasn't in this class with me.

The bell rung signaling the first class was over. Everyone hurried in packing their thing in order to get to the next class. As always though I was the first one out and zooming to get to my locker before Sarah got there. I walked up to my locker and sighed in relief as I didn't see her there. I quickly put in my combination, grabbed my books, and booked it to my next class.

I cautiously walked into the room looking around in case I saw her around. There was another student in the classroom besides me and they looked up at me as I entered the room. He saw me looking around and spoke up.

"If you're wondering if Sarah is here, she and her posee haven't arrived yet. You're good," he said.

"Thank you," I meekly replied and took my seat.

"Why am I so awkward when it comes to talking to poeple," I questioned myself, "Anyway, I have to find a way to avoid Sarah as much as possible today. I don't really want to end up going home with bruises again. Mom is already worried about me."

So for the next hour and a half I focused on class and put Sarah to the back of my mind.

~Another Time Skip~

I was able to successfully avoid Sarah all day at school. Now I'm just worried that she might follow me home. I was wondering this as I walked out of the gates. I was walking passed this abandoned factory that's been here for decades. I was until the door beside me opened and I was pulled inside. I was harshly thrown onto the concrete floor. I looked up and fear immediately took over my system. There stood Sarah, her posee, her boyfriend and his posee grinning at me.

"This will be fun," Sarah exclaimed in excitement, "Shall we start."

Then they started heading towards me. I knew I wasn't going to get out of this.
