Chapter 11 - Daddy, Let Me Play!
Over the next few months, the new animitronics were finished, refined, and then rented out for private parties. They stayed in Freddy Fazbears, but they were locked in the back room, as they weren't part of the main show. On very rare occasions, Baby, and even rarer, Ballora, would activate at night, but they could never get out.
Plus, Matt had a shock button installed, so that the night guards could get them quiet again. The night guards thoroughly enjoyed shocking them, all except Nate, who just got plain confused. Yeah, it wasn't really some noble reason to not shock the animitronics for Nate, he was just very confused, which kind of confused Matt.
However, as the days passed, it began to work. First, Baby caught a child, but when Matt was bringing the child out of Baby's stomach, the child cut his neck on a piece of scrap metal and he had to start over. Then Funtime Freddy caught someone, but unfortunately, it was an 11 year old girl, who was smaller in size. Luckily, Matt was watching the scene play out, and he explained that it was a protective mechanism after getting the "Dgirl out. Luckily, she was incredibly stupid and actually bought it. Baby caught another child after the Funtime Freddy incident, but this time, when Matt killed the child and shoved it into the body, it didn't work. Ballora caught a baby boy by accident next, but Matt decided quickly that a baby would not work, and left it on the parent's doorstep after finding their address.
Baby had proven to be the best at catching and luring children by far, so Matt considered going after Luke with Baby, but then he remembered that Luke was actually very tall for his age, so he decided to use Funtime Freddy, who had the biggest stomach area, as proven by the fact that he had the ability to catch an 11 year old girl and not kill her. It did make Matt nervous though. The girl had suffered injuries because the space was very small, and was only saved because she sat in a certain position. Plus, she was incredibly small for being 11. But Matt shook off those worries. It would be okay. However, Funtime Freddy was pretty bad at luring kids over, so Matt decided that he himself would have to lure Luke over, as Luke knew who Matt was. He may not even remember him, but it would be okay.
Unfortunately, as the months passed and Matt's tests continued with no success, Libby got even more annoyed. Her birthday had passed, and Baby was not present. Now seven years old. Libby was getting impatient. And if she found some kind of evidence of what Matt was doing, she could actually clue in, somehow.
"Daddy, you let the other children go see her. Why won't you let me go?" She folded her arms in a huff.
"Baby was somewhere else at the time. Someone had rented her out. You couldn't see her." He tried to explain.
"Daddy just once let me go play with her. She's so pretty and shiny. Didn't you make her just for me?" She asked, her lip sticking out.
"She may be pretty, but she's not good enough for my little angel. Not yet, at least." Matt tried to get out of this conversation.
"Daddy, she can make balloons! Have you seen her make balloons? Oh Daddy, let me go to her!" She cried.
"Libby, that's enough. Go play in your room." He demanded.
"You're not my best friend anymore!" *BTW, this is ACTUALLY what my little sister says when she's mad at her parents.* Libby ran off, crying.
"Oh sweetie..." Matt said to himself. "It'll all be okay. Soon, you'll even have your brother back."
