Music and Micronations
When morning finally rolled around, Amelia was quick to get ready after her morning exercises. Going to the dining dressed in comfortable clothing, she sat beside Canada and Russia with a bright smile. She noticed her coffee mug was filled already, so she picked it up and drank a few sips
It's already made the way I like it...
Smirking, she glanced towards Ivan and took another small sip. His head was slightly tilted upwards as he dranks his coffee, but his eyes looked down at her. He gave a slight smile as he drank and winked at her, making her giggle.
The nations were at the table for a while, murmuring quietly and giving an occasional glance Amelia's way. This made her slightly worried as she drank more of her coffee. It wasn't until Finland, accompanied by Sealand, sat down that Amelia finally found out what the other nations were talking about.
"Ms. Amelia! You're a great singer!" Amelia choked a tiny bit on her coffee but forced it down. She had a slight blush on her cheeks and was suddenly very nervous. Every pair of eyes were on her, making her gulp.
"Peter! She wasn't supposed to know!" Wy shouted as she harshly elbowed his ribs.
"Ow! Why? She is!" Sealand got out of his seat at the Micronations' table and walked over, "do you think you can sing again for us? Pretty please?" Amelia was basically frozen, clearly still very self-conscious about her singing abilities. Denmark got up and gently grabbed Sealand's hand.
"Peter, it isn't polite to ask her in front of people," Mathias reminded as he looked to her, "you don't have to sing anything for us, Amelia,"
"Thank you, Mathias," Amelia smiled slightly and looked down at Sealand, "I'm sorry Peter, but I'm very embarrassed by my abilities when in front of people I barely know. The only people who have ever heard me actually sing are my children and a few close friends I've had,"
"It's alright, Ms. Amelia. You should take your time and get comfortable around us first!" Sealand replied happily as Denmark escorted him back to the Micronation table. Breakfast continued with no more interruptions and everybody gorged themselves happily.
Upon breakfast being completed, Amelia wandered the halls of Austria's grand estate again. Taking a few different turns, she found herself in a corridor she had never been in. It was eerily silent and she realized she couldn't hear any of the nations anymore. She concluded that this hallway was secluded from the rest of the manor, which made her curious as to why.
The corridor was lined with flawless portraits of many European monarchs and even one of George Washington, which made her smile. She noticed that there was only one door at the very end of the corridor, a beautiful, antique, wooden one with flawlessly carved designs. She approached the door carefully, being wary of what could be behind it. Placing her hand gently on the knob, she clicked the door open.
With her mouth agape, she entered the grand ballroom. There was so much space that it made most of her own mansions look like a shack. Her boots clicked as she walked down the grand staircase, taking in the absolutely gorgeous room. She noticed that towards the side corner of the floor, a large antique piano was placed. Along with the many other instruments that were splayed out aside the piano, it was obviously well taken care of and shined with a fresh coat of polish.
Amelia approached the piano, grazing it like it was made of crystal. The large stain glass window behind the piano made the room illuminate in multiple bright colors as Amelia sat down on the satin cushion. Her fingers were hesitant to touch such an antique beauty, but she couldn't help herself. Playing soft melodies and humming, she began to relax.
The micronations, but mostly Sealand, were running through the halls and laughing. Kugelmugel was running with him, trying to get him to stop.
"Peter! If papa catches you, you'll be in trouble!"
"Oh lighten up, Clifford! I'm only having fun!" Sealand laughed as he did a cartwheel, nearly knocking over a priceless vase. Ladonia was quick to catch it and place it back on the side table. Seborga noticed the near-miss and went to tell Sealand to stop, but heard music.
"Does anybody else hear that~?" he asked. Everybody paused and listened for a moment, an angelic voice echoing the halls.
"I hear it, it sounds like an angel coming to bless us with her presence," Hutt River dramatically flipped his hair as sparkles came from his eyes. Wy groaned and shook her head, looking towards the corridor from which the voice was coming from.
"Hey, Clifford, I never noticed that hall before," Wy pointed. Sealand smiled and put his fist in the air.
"Well! Let's explore it then!" Sealand began to march, but was held back by Ladonia.
"What is it with you and charging forward without thinking? We have no idea what could be down that hall and given that you almost shattered an antique vase you shouldn't be this eager! What if the creature making that beautiful noise is a siren, trying to lure us to our deaths?!," Ladonia panicked cutely. Kugelmugel looked to the said corridor and his eyes widened.
"That's the entrance to the grand hall, it's supposed to be closed off but I guess the staff forgot," Kugelmugel began to head down the long hall, the group of micronations following close behind. They gazed at the portraits in awe, just as Amelia had, before coming to the same grand doors. The singing had gotten louder and the small nations could hear the sound of the piano being played.
Slowing opening the door, Kugelmugel's mouth dropped. He instantly closed the door, making sure not to slam it. The other micronations jumped when the mostly leveled micronation seemed a little shaken.
"What is it, Clifford?" Ladonia asked, putting an arm around his friend's shoulders. The taller instantly pulled out his phone and texted his 'father'. Not even ten minutes later, Austria was briskly walking down the hall.
"Clifford, vhat us vrong? Jou never text vith so many grammar mistakes," Kugelmugel shushed everyone and proceeded to reopen the grand doors. The group went inside quietly and watched as Amelia continued to play the piano and hum.
They all jumped when her phone went off but were relieved to see that she still failed to notice them. When she answered her phone, a small male voice came from the speaker.
"Hello, sweetheart. How's the house?"
"Mama, you will be home soon, da?" a quiet voice spoke.
"I'm sorry Nikolai, I'll be here for a few more days,"
"How many more days?"
"Around four or five more days, then I'm coming home," she then looked at the time on her display screen, "why are you up? It should be close to 2 AM there,"
"I can't sleep, can you sing to me, mama?" Amelia sighed but nodded with a smile.
"Sure baby, what song?"
"Any song so long as you sing it," it was clear Nikolai did not enjoy his home without his mom. So, Amelia quickly began to think about songs that would calm her son enough to make him fall asleep. Within a minute she knew exactly what to play, so she began gently playing a few keys and started to sing.

When she finished the song, she noticed the light snores coming from the other side of the receiver.
"Goodnight, my little Russian prince. My little Nikolai," she made a few kissy noises before hanging up. Taking a deep breath, she stretched her arms and stood up. She brushed the nice stool and closed the piano, assuring it stayed in pristine condition.
The micronations, as well as Austria, were dumbfounded at Amelia's voice. It was honestly so beautiful and they felt blessed to have heard it. The kids, still with stunned looks upon their faces, ran off. Austria, on the other hand, made a mental note to get her to play instruments with him after lunch.
When lunch was served, Sealand once again approached Amelia with curious eyes. Russia, Canada, and her were all conversing happily when he lightly tugged the elder's sleeve. When Amelia looked down, most fo the table went silent. Finland and Sweden took immediate notice that Peter was once again at the adult table.
"Peter, you better not be causing trouble," Tino sternly commanded.
"I'm not, mom, I just had a question," he looked to Amelia with a slight smile.
"Um, sure. What is it, Peter?
"Who's Nikolai and why do you call him your little Russian prince?"
Amelia went wide-eyed, Ivan did a spit take, Matthew felt his cheeks flush, and Tino scrambled to get Sealand.
"Peter! That's private!"
"No, no, it's ok Tino," Amelia giggled, "you see Peter, I adopt children. Nikolai is one of my sons that I adopted. He's a bit clingy and has Russian ancestry, which is why I call him my little Russian prince,"
"Ohhh~" he looked over to Seborga, "see! I told you it wasn't her lover!" Peter shouted as he walked back to the table.
Que Ivan doing another spit take.
After the eventful lunch, Austria approached Amelia with a small smile and asked what other instruments she played. You could only imagine his surprise when she began to list off instruments ranging from the bass to a bassoon. Most strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion were part of her vast array of musical talent. He invited her to his music room, which is where Amelia officially lost her shit.
Opening the door, her eyes immediately landed on another antique piano.
"The woodwork on this piano is phenomenal! I haven't seen one in such pristine condition other than my own! You take such wonderful care of your instruments!" Amelia complimented, making Austria go red in the cheeks.
"Danke, I am happy jou like them. Vould jou like to play anything un particular?" Amelia looked around and saw a flute case. She approached it and unbuckled the slightly rusted silver, opening the velvet case. The flute was beautiful, having beautiful designs carved into it. She assembled the instrument, took a deep breath, and began to play a very common arrangement.
'Flight of the Bumblebee'
Austria was stunned at not only the talent but the lung capacity Amelia had. The entire time, she was on tune and on beat, which is normally hard for such a quick-paced piece. Prussia ran in not even a second into Amelia playing, feeling his 'Fritz Senses' tingle.
He wasn't disappointed when he found Amelia playing his flute, in fact, he was very turned on.
Once Amelia finished, both men clapped.
"THAT VAS AWESOME!!!" Prussia yelled loudly as he clapped. Austria nodded in agreement, making Amelia blush and bow.
"Thanks, Gil!" she held out the instrument, allowing Prussia to gently take his flute back. She then picked up a violin, plucking a few strings before beginning to play the same piece on it. Austria felt his heart burst out of his chest when he saw Amelia play the same arrangement, with perfect accuracy, on a completely different instrument. Both nations clapped again when she finished, making her bow once more.
"Vhy don't ve all play?" Austria asked as he sat with his piano. Amelia shrugged and Prussia simply nodded. Amelia tapped her foot and bobbed her head, signaling when to start. They all played the piece, the other male nations having an easy time keeping up. When they finished, they realized the micronations were at the door and applauding.
Sealand ran in with a bright smile, Wy and Hutt River quick to follow.
"We want to play stuff too, pretty please with a spoonful of sugar on top?!" Austria shrugged and the trio handed each one a small instrument ranging from tambourines to maracas. The micronations all laughed wildly as they played.
Needless to say, the afternoon had the halls filled with "music".
