Gabriel dragged herself through the grimy streets of Georgia ,unseen to the mortal eyes around her.

Wavy locks like woven gold matted with months of dirt and blood fell into her eyes, her body throbbed with an almost unbearable pain and her breath hitched with exhaustion, but her mind was set on a single destination, the one place she knew she'd be safe

Samantha ran her fingers through her hazelnut curls absentmindedly as she skimmed through her textbook on forensic examination. Her living room was lit by a single crepuscular salt lamp that filled the space with a calm warm light but there was air of sadness and emptiness, her thoughts kept returning to the missing angel as they had been for months, her head was constantly clouded by images of Gabriel's mesmerising eyes, like sunlight through whisky, and the absence of her presence that had once lit up whatever room she was in a reminder that she was gone.

As she rest against the aged leather of her couch, Sam let her eyelids flutter closed her long lashes casting translucent shadows against her tanned skin and dancing with the fiery light that engulfed the room finally she let her thoughts delve deep into her memories .
