Wound Up

Seto groans, partially in pain, as he adjusts the hood of his purple cloak. Shielded, the opportunity seemed to have beseeched him: the bloodthirsty anger of the silhouette that rested below on the streets — the screaming civilians. They're outnumbered, he thinks to himself while crawling closer towards the edge. He places his gloved hand onto the concrete barrier, attempting to jump before a hand then rests on his shoulder.

"Leave it be," Jason's small voice pleas, tugging him away from the edge. "Our parents will—"

The Sorcerer rolls his eyes, exaggerated as usual, as he exasperates, "You always claim Adam and Ty, their god damn Team Crafted, always save the day. Look where that leads them."

"They told us to stay back!" Jason exclaims, lifting off his helmet. His ocean waves of crystals soften, glistening within the moonlight. They both flinch at the abrupt sound of gunshots. "We could get hurt."

"I'm a Sorcerer, there is no getting hurt," Seto scoffs, brushing away his hand. His voice cracks a bit as he grits his teeth, "I need to do something."

"You're not even fully developed — you're a reckless idiot," he deadpans.

"Oh fuck off, Jason!" he shouts in retort, leaping off the edge.

Cloak fluttering, he floats onto the concrete. Not to his surprise, the astronaut wannabe follows after him, jet pack and all, attempting to tug him back to the rooftop. Particles soar as dark matter send the two boys into a nearby building.

The air is dense with horror as Seto attempts to regain his composure and manage his way through the rubble. He notes the darkness of the abandoned building, allowing the eerie feeling to creep over him like waves. He heard Jason's struggled cough and helps him to his feet.

"Enderlox," Jason notes, dusting off his suit while breaking the silence between them.

"Excuse me," Seto splutters, "Ender what?"

"It's a clone of our father, to simply put it," Jason cracks his knuckles, tossing Seto his spare laser gun, "Herobrine's work. I suggest you get ready to shoot, unless you actually plan on dying."

The two head forwards back onto the street, aiming their guns forwards. The white moon above their heads turns black as a shadow hovers above them. Frightened, Seto is the first one to shoot, sending a flash of light into the sky. The creature moans, swooping down and crashing into the sidewalk in a mess of black and purple particles.

Cautiously, Seto begins to stroll towards the heap, gun slightly lowered. The creature — what Jason claims to be Enderlox — holds similar resemblance to Ty, only with a slightly bigger build, glowing purple eyes, along with a wingspan of a whole truck and a tail that could stretch as long as a jump rope. It moans again, hissing with vigor.

He shoots at it again, aiming for the torso. The wings reflect the attack, causing the laser to bounce into the air. The ground shakes and pebbles begin to tumble from the air. Seto looks upwards, not knowing whether to have fear or to be slightly amused, at the sight before him. Jason manages to snap out of his trance and joins Seto, standing by his side.

The white laser bounces off the bubble's encasing, only being held back by the man's hands. He snaps his fingers — the laser, along with the bubble, disappears seemingly into thin air. He crashes down onto the concrete, landing on his feet, in front of the two boys. Seto aims the laser gun at the man with white glowing eyes, a scowl resting on his face.

"Who the hell are you?" Seto shouts cockily, reloading the gun. He masks his terror with a look of pride.

"What do you take me for? An idiot?" the man remarks, snapping his fingers. Their weapons dissipate into thin air, leaving both boys in shock. "We've got two twin boys looking for a fight, barely aged thirteen!"

"First of all," Jason clarifies, "if you think I'm actually related to him by blood, you're mistaken."

"And I'm turning fourteen next month!" Seto squeaks in his own defense.

"Seto Sorcerer, an orphaned Sorcerer and adopted son of Ty and Adam Dahlberg," the man smiles sinisterly, "you'd be a great addition to my collection."

"C-Collection?" the Sorcerer stutters. He positions himself into a shaky stance, holding his hands outwards. They spark, slightly, of purple, before giving out. "I-I won't hesitate kill you!"

The man sighs, striding towards him in a bored haze. Seto backs up, shaking, "I'm warning you!"

Jason's eyes widen as he watched helplessly. Gripped at the throat, Seto thrashes his body around as the man continues to speak as if he wasn't about to commit another atrocity.

"And now we have Jason Dahlberg, biological son of Ty and Adam Dahlberg. Grown in an artificial womb, of course, because those exist."

"Put him down!" Jason demands, throwing a punch towards the man's stomach. He easily dodges, throwing a kick to the boy's abdomen. He falls backwards, clutching the impact area tightly as he grimaces.

"I have no use for you," the man announces coldly, glaring at him. "Now, if you'd excuse me."

Turning around, still holding the brunet by his throat, a sphere floats in the air, no bigger than a tennis ball. It grows larger, warping the area around it in a white haze.

"Who are you?" Jason cries out, attempting to stand up.

"Herobrine."

The words shake him to his core. He would never anticipate to Herobrine to look like that, let alone possess the fabled works of dark magic that were said to him days before the battle.

He strolls into the portal, disappearing into the almost heavenly light, taking Seto with him. The assumed portal shrinks, leaving Jason behind on the pavement.

Enderlox seems to awaken once more, as if by command. It stands, looming over a cowering Jason. With no weapon, he screams, attempting to rush away. The creature's tail grabs him by the throat, dragging him backwards.
