Sorry for late updates but I'm really busy. But im writing as much as possible.

Danny's pov.

I'm soo excited today. Today my best friend and crush is coming to California to attend school with me for a year. He is a part of an exchange programme. But i know the main reason behind is that he could meet me.

We met in New York a couple years ago. We attended the same school but then i had move here but we decided to stay in touch.

He texted me that he will start school from today. The principal will allot a student to show him around. I hope it's me. Or else I'm sure percy will mention me.

I am currently in the parking lot waiting for my best friend Annabeth. She knows nothing about percy. I don't want her to tease me.

I spotted Annabeth in the sea of students and waved at her. She came to me and smiled happily.
"What's with the smile Annabeth?" I asked with curiosity.

"Nothing. Just happy in general." She replied.

"Ok. Lets go we have literature first and i don't want to face the professor's wrath." I said shuddering.

"Yeah let's. But I have to go home before lunch. I have something to take care of." She said

"Yeah cool." I said. That's nice actually i will get to spend time with percy without her bugging me.

We entered the class and took our usual seats that are assigned to us. Me in the front and Annabeth 2 desks behind.

We were halfway through the lecture when the door opened and revealed percy. I was sitting at the edge in my seat with a big grin on my face. He look so different now. He had a typical badboy look. Black ripped jeans, tight v-neck, black leather jacket and messy hair. But still those warm and calm green eyes.

His eyes scanned though the students and when he saw me he smiled happily. I smiled and waved back. But he quickly diverted his eyer to someone behind me and his expression became like a kid on Christmas day.

Before i could look behind the teacher interupted and asked him to introduce himself.

"Hi everyone my name is percy Jackson and I came here from New York. And i have a feeling im not going to be a loner. Right?" He said and everyone chuckled.

He exchanged a few words with the teacher in hushed tone.

Then the teacher pointed to the seat where Annabeth is sitting and asked him to sit there. Percy had a knowing smirk on his face. He skipped to the desk and plopped down. The lecture was resumed. The class was boring as usual except to occasional giggles from behind me.

--------------------------- lunch

The day could not get any worse. After first leacture i tried to speak to percy but the teacher called him. And I didn't have him in any of my leactures after that till now. And i was all alone not even Annabeth was in any of my classes.

I was sitting at my usual table in the cafeteria when i remembered that Annabeth had to go home. I home she din't leave yet.

I quickly went to the parking lot to see if her car is still there. I sigh in relief when i see her leaning against her car typing on her phone. I was about to go to her a glorious black ford Mustang was pulled in front of her.

Then someone came out of it and hugged the life out of her. The thing shocked me was that they kissed. I've never seen Annabeth kiss anyone. Who is this guy?

"Annabeth" i called.

Both of them turned around and my heart shattered into pieces.

I could hear my heart break. They both had big smiles on their faces. They approached me. They were still holding each other.
Percy came and hugged me. Not the one like he gave Annabeth but a light one.

"Hey Danny! How are you? We did not time to speak at all." Percy said.

I gave him a nod and small smile.
He then went Back and stood next to Annabeth his hand slipping to her waist pulling her closer.

"You guys know each other?" I asked.

"Yeah. Annabeth is my girlfriend. I was actually going to visit her but then the exchange programme came along and i couldn't leave the opportunity to spend a whole yeat with my wise girl. Isn't it baby." He said the last sentence directed towards Annabeth.

"But you guys just met! You are joking! You are trying to make me jealous right percy. If that the reason then you won! I am jealous. Just keep your hands away from her." I said with a finality in my tone.

"Well we know each other since we were 12 and started dating at 16. We are not joking. Why would i try to make you jealous? And i don't want my wise girl away from me." Percy said frowning at me.

"Percy don't you understand. I like you and you are supposed to be with me not her." I said. "And Annabeth, you were my best friend. How could you do this to me." I continued

They both had their eyes wide and were stairing at me in shock.

"Look danny i like you-" and i got my hopes up to the sky.
"-but like a friend. I love Annabeth as my life part. My partner. My life. I don't know what mislead you into this but i don't​ like you that way. And i don't think we can be friends now because that would be plain awkward. Bye we are leaving now." Percy said and all my hopes came crashing down to the surface along with my heart.

I stood there stairing into space while they drove off to who-knows-where.
