I was in the boys bathroom looking at my reflection for the last time before my football game. The football club was right next to the other sports centres like the swimming and karate building which were together and a soccer oval. I brushed my dirty blonde hair back and winked at myself in the grubby mirror before walking out, growling at a guy who had been watching me. As per usual he cowered back on fear and rushed a quick sorry before fast walking away.

I walked to where my team mates were, they were all stretching and doing drills. For some reason ,I don't know or care for, they don't like me, so as soon as I was in sight they groaned in frustration and rolled their eyes. I rolled mine back, they're just jealous that I get more women than them. I smirked, yeah that's it. I looked over the field. It was made of fake green grass and had benches for the team to sit on and other bleachers for spectators. There were only a few people there that were parents and siblings that had come to watch the game. The referee blew her whistle to signal 5 minutes to get ready. Maybe I could get flirty with her for an advantage to the game. The referee was gorgeous, she had honey curls that cascaded down in a messy pontytail. She was slim and muscular with calculating grey eyes that I saw even though is was a few meters away, I could tell she was a Typical Californian blonde.(people that think that are blondes are stupid, are stupid themselves ) I slicked my hair back and marched up to her confidently.

When I came up to her she hadn't even noticed me, her eyes were on the field and wondered to the swimming centre every now and then. I had to tap on her shoulder to get her attention. (Awkward) Suddenly her eyes flicked toward me so suddenly I almost stumbled back. As I looked at her eyes again I saw that I was terribly mistaken. Inside there was an amount of sadness no normal human could handle but at the same time pure bliss. Her eyes were intelligent and genius. Heh and I didn't even read faces and I could tell. I regained my composure and turned to her and giving her my trade mark smirk.

" Hey babe. You know you're beautiful, wanna go to the movies? Seven good? Good." I flirted, I didn't even wait for the answers because I knew that they were yes. But no once again I was mistaken and horribly I might add.

"No thanks. I'm the referee not your flirt dummy to practice on. If you want, go practice on your mum, not sure she'll even respond." She said back. Her voice was sickening sweet and calm. Even though her voice was like a beautiful harp I couldn't take back the fact that she had rejected me! And insulted me too in the act! She must be playing hard to get. It's a thing with girls now, isn't it? I tried again

"Don't play hard to get babe, we'll be done faster if you don't play hard to get. Now is seven good?" I was seriously getting a little desperate. She looked at me with her confronting eyes with disgust.

"Don't call me that babe, I'm not playing hard to get, I have a BOYFRIEND. You get that? Or are you too thick headed to understand under all the mist of arrogance? Get back to your game and stop trying to flirt with me to get an advantage." She said, frustration clear in her voice.

"Okay I'll se you at seve- whaaa?! What! I'm not trying to get an unfair advantage! I just thought you were a pretty lady and wanted to take you out!" I said trying to cover up the fact that she had quickly found. There was a crowd around us now and they were staring at me in disgust and sympathy. Why?
"I said, I'm here to referee the game. Not to flirt! I have a BOYFRIEND for Gods Sakes! Now go back to your team before I security!" She snapped. I took a step back almost knocking into a little girl.

"WATCH IT GIRL! Get out of my way, you little brat!" I yelled back at the girl. I nearly fell because of her! The people around glared at me, especially the mother of the girl. The girl was standing there looking offended with a disgusted face on, instead if cowering away in fear. She talked back.

"The world doesn't revolve around you! You stepped back, I was there! Who's fault is that? Yours! You're flirting with that girl for an unfair advantage, I'm ten and I can tell. Your the type that thinks that they can have anything, but have you realised? That ain't happening! Now get back before the ref calls security!" The girl snapped back. She was a debater and had a strong opinion. I growled, how can a little girl be more mature than me! I looked at the crowd around me including the ref, they all had agry faces plastered on. I stomped angrily.(I used 'Beeps' for swearing words)

"YOU DONT KNOW BEEP, LITTLE GIRL!! Beep you all! You're all little pieces of beep! BEEP" I yelled, so that the whole area could hear. People looked towards me and parents covered their kid's ears. The golden girl ref yelled

"OUT! SECURITY!" A muscly teen my age with shaggy black hair and ocean sea green eyes grabbed my arm and dragged me back to the entrance. "That's my girlfriend. Next time you'll feel my wrath" he said, his tone dangerously low but immediately after he smiled and walked towards the ref. He proceeded to kiss her passionately and walk to the bleachers smiling at the parents reassuringly to let them know that I had been kicked out. My mum stormed up to me and grabbed me by the ear
"CONNOR! What the HECK do you you think you were doing? Flirting with the ref and swearing! I'm taking you to that college now!" I stumbled as my mother rambled on about my punishment.

{1 YEAR LATER}

Now I was mature, I had a job, got good grades, never went to the principles office. I was grateful my mother took me there.
