This experiment.. I suppose is what you could call it.. Lasted for a few more months. The Family had just celebrated Harry's first birthday.

Colette was shocked that Lily and James encouraged her to be involved in the birthday party. Although she couldn't necessarily afford anything for Harry.. She still helped organise the day and ensure that he had a good day even if he wouldn't remember it.

Colette saw a large present and James had told her that it was from his best friend and Harry's godfather Sirius Black.

After Harry had tried the broomstick, Colette and Harry's parents all retired to Bathilda Bagshot's house.

Colette didn't like the woman and thought she was absolutely crazy.. The poor woman just wouldn't stop talking!.

Colette was glad when it was over though and they all went back to the cottage and Colette went straight to bed.

Lily of course grabbed the opportunity for a few quiet moments whilst James was putting Harry to bed..To write a letter to Sirius:

Dear Padfoot,Thank you, thank you, for Harry's birthday present! It was his favourite by far. One year old and already zooming along on a , he looked so pleased with himself, I'm enclosing a picture so you can see. You know it only rises about two feet off the ground, but he nearly killed the cat and he smashed a horrible vase  sent me for  (no complaints there). Of course, thought it was funny, says he's going to be a great  player, but we've had to pack away all the ornaments and make sure we don't take our eyes off him when he gets going.

We had a very quiet birthday tea, just us and old , who has always been sweet to us, and who dotes on Harry. We were so sorry you couldn't come, but the 's got to come first, and Harry's not old enough to know it's his birthday anyway! James is getting a bit frustrated shut up here, he tries not to show it but I can tell -- also, 's still got his , so no chance of little excursions. If you could visit, it would cheer him up so much.  was here last weekend, I thought he seemed down, but that was probably the news about the ; I cried all evening when I heard.Bathilda drops in most days, she's a fascinating old thing with the most amazing stories about Dumbledore, I'm not sure he'd be pleased if he knew! I don't know how much to believe, actually, because it seems incredible that Dumbledore ------could ever have been friends with . I think her mind's going, personally!Lots of Love,

Lily finished her letter and then tied it to her owl who then flew out the window to deliver the letter. At this point James had come downstairs and him and Lily stared at each other for a few moments until James broke the silence. "We are going to have to tell her aren't we?."

Lily nodded. "You'd best go and fetch her down here."

James ran quietly upstairs so that he didn't disturb Harry and then went into Colette's room shoving her awake.

Colette sat up groggily. "Eh?..Is Everything alright?."

James shook his head. "We need you downstairs right now..We have something to tell you."

Colette nodded and followed James downstairs.

Colette sat at the table with James and Lily. "What is it?..Surely whatever it is can wait till tomorrow?."

James shook his head. "No sadly not..The thing is if you still want to stay here that is.. We need you to do something.."

Colette sighs. "Poseidon was the one who brought me here .. He did'nt mention anything about any conditions."

James shrugged. "It isn't compulsory of course but you're welcome to leave if you want."

Lily elbows him. "What he means is..If you're gonna be around we need you to do something.."

Colette strutters. "I help with Harry don't I?."

Lily nodded. "But we need you to do more than that..What we are saying is perhaps we should enroll you in Hogwarts school."

Colette frowns. "Aren't I a little old for that?."

James smiled. "I'm sure the headmaster Armando Dippet can overlook that just this once.."

Colette sighs and thinks about it. Shee was Determined not to let Poseidon down even if It was Cole's Idea in the first place and regardless whether he was working with Cole or not.

She takes a deep breath and nodded. "Alright I will."

Suddenly a Owl came through with a letter addressed to her.

Dear Miss Potter,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry.

Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on september 1.

After reading the letter Colette of course asked Lily to reply to the letter immediately.

Lily smiled. "Of Course I will reply on your behalf."

Colette smirked. "Yeah.. Since I don't have my own Owl."

Colette looked at James and asked. "When and How am I gonna get all this equipment?..There is absolutely no way that I'm going to afford it."

James touched her hand. "Let us worry about that.. as for your other question We are going first thing tomorrow morning."

The next Morning The Potters did just that..By the end of it all Colette had a New Wand and a New Cauldron and an Ugly black robe and Black tie with the hogwarts crest on it.

Colette walked quietly with James whilst Lily was browsing with Baby Harry in the book store. They come across a broomstick shop. Colette looks at the broom in awe and thinks how cool it would be to fly it but sadly first years aren't allowed brooms.

James grinned. "I flew one at Hogwarts you know.. I was a Seeker."

Colette looks up at him impressed. "Wow..I'm guessing that's an important role then?."

He grinned. "Very!."

A few months later..

Soon it was Time for Colette to leave on the Hogwarts train. Sitting safely in the train She waved goodbye at the kind people who were pretty much her parents the last few months and nervously awaited her new journey.
