3RD PERSON POV

Y/N: *stump* What the fuck do I do?

After narrowly escaping from Chase's and Scarlet's wrath, Y/N spent the next few hours traveling the city only to find nothing to do. Games were obsolete, people were ignoring him, and many places were just outdated with the exception of a few places.

Y/N: 'Hmmmm......maybe I should visit Heaven and hell again. Now that'll be interesting.'

*WOOSH*

Later

???: And that's how my life ended.

The single soul finishes his statement, giving Y/N time to think it over. Although he's not God, he has good intuition and experience with these kinds of matters.

Y/N: I see. You did kill someone but it was to defend yourself and an injured person. God may certainly put you in Heaven in this case.

???: Ah thanks......*smile* though you're not an archangel at least I'm reassured someone believes in me.

The soul the. fades as candles surround Y/N, illuminating the darkness around him.

Y/N: 'So peaceful. Hmmmmm. Meditating would be nice. Training maybe?.......yeah training......'

He sat down and closes his eyes, feeling the chill and silence of the environment around him.

Y/N: 'Maybe the bird creature will suffic-'

Mind

Y/N: RAHHHH!

*BOOM*

With one uppercut, the Nomu was sent high into the air as Y/N jumps up and sledgehammers it into the ground before accelerating towards it with a punch.

Y/N: DIE!

*BOOM*

The entire forest was obliterated, trees and rocks blown up into pieces and burnt to ashes. After the explosion clears, Y/N was alone in the center with the Nomu gone, reduced to atoms by the punch.

Y/N: 'Not bad....even when holding back immensely I can still do this much damage....yes I got stronger but I can still improv-'

Bernadette: Y/N!

EXITING MINDSCAPE

He was brought out of his meditation and looks up to find Bernadette there, crossing her arms and glaring at him as he gets up.

Bernadette: *brow raised* And what may I ask are you doing here?

Y/N: To be honest nothing. I got bored and came here to meditate on my training.

Bernadette: Training?

Y/N: Why not? It's a good way to sharpen my skills and stuff mentally. Also a good way to gauge my own strength and see if anything's wrong.

Bernadette: *nod* I see.

Y/N: Anyways now that I'm done, what are you doing here by the way?

Bernadette: Sorting the souls. *narrow* You shouldn't be here you know.

Y/N: *confused* I didn't do anything.

Bernadette: *crosses arms* You spoke to the souls awaiting judgement.

Y/N: I provided my own opinion really. What's wrong with that?

Bernadette: Still I can't have you interfere with heaven's affairs. Well.....no one has for the past centuries.

Y/N: Do you ever take a break? Like do you do something besides from your work or have fun?

Bernadette: I don't have time for such breaks. I have my duties to still do.

Y/N.........You have a boring life.

Bernadette: *hmph* It's the way it has to b-

*GRAB*

Bernadette: HEY!

Y/N grabs Bernadette's wrist and walks forward, pulling her away from the judgement hall.

Y/N: *grin* You will be taking a break. I seen the other archangels hang around in the city before so you should do the same. You can get to these souls later but right now take a break!

Bernadette: *struggling* I told you I don't have time for such nonsense!

Y/N: *grin* Cmon now! It's just for one day!

Bernadette continues to protest with Y/N insisting on her taking a break. Unbeknownst to them, Azrael and Celeste were both watching from afar, amused at the scene.

Azrael: Huh.....*grin* Are you going to stop him?

Celeste: On the contrary I believe this might be beneficial for her.

Azrael: How so?

Later

Bernadette: *grumble* Why am I here?

They sat on some seats outside a small cafe. Bernadette didn't want anything but Y/N insisted on ordering something until she relents and orders some milk tea. Now they sat with their orders, drinking their drinks though Bernadette had a look that said "I don't want to be here."

Y/N: *smirk* convinced you to come.

Bernadette: *deadpan* You dragged me here against my will.....although I don't mind the drink. It's very delectable.

Y/N: *hands raised* Chill Bernadette! I just brought us here for some small talk you know to start off the day.

Bernadette: *relieved* 'At least he's not like Azrael.'

Y/N: I do have a question though if you don't mind answering.

Bernadette: What is it that you want to ask me?

Y/N: Tell me, does God have a reason for secluding himself from you and Heaven entirely?

Bernadette: No one knows the answer to that.

Y/N: Knowing God, would he willingly separate himself from Heaven knowing that there will be many troubles?

Bernadette: *narrow* What are you playing at?

Y/N: I'm just saying. God has knowledge of the past, present, and future of this world. So technically, he is allowing all these past events to happen when secluding himself. *grins* He probably knows I pulled you from your job yet he allows it. So you my friend should be relaxing with me today.

Bernadette: I-

Y/N: Cmon. It's just for a day. Don't think too hard about this.

Bernadette hesitates, thinking of the repercussions of her interaction with Y/N But as much as she hates to admit it, she wouldn't mind taking a break. At least it gets her away from Azrael, and she had to admit she was enjoying the beginning of it.

Bernadette: *sigh* Alright.....What will we be doing today?

Later

*BANG*

Y/N: *groan* How the fuck are you so good at this?!

Both Bernadette and Y/N were playing chess in the library, with Bernadette winning all 3 games in a row although it wasn't easy.

Bernadette: I have been around for centuries now. This board game is trivial compared to what I've done for years.

Later

*BAM*

Bernadette: *sigh* I can never understand how a simple contraption is so hard to use.

Bernadette attempts to use a claw machine to no effect for several minutes. Exasperated, she turns away only for Y/N to insert his coin and get the teddy bear in one try.

Bernadette:...........*strain* 'WHY?!'

Y/N: I don't really need this you can have it. So here!

Bernadette: *turns away* I don't want it.

A minute later, Bernadette can be seen holding the teddy bear close to her as if it was a precious gift.

Later

Both can be seen walking out of a movie theater after already watching the movie of the day inside for 3 hours.

Y/N: What did you think of it?

Bernadette: *sigh* The movie was.....adequate. But it's still a waste of 3 hours of my time.

Y/N:.....You were literally mowing down 10 bags of popcorn like there is no tomorrow and laughing with me.

Bernadette: *embarrassed* I find the food to be flavorful there! Not to mention the comedic conversations used was very efficient!

Y/N: So you did like coming here.

Bernadette:........*sigh* Moving on.

Later

Velvet: *purr* It's so good~

Y/N ends up meeting with his girlfriends who were also walking to eat at the local noodle bar. The first thing they noticed however was Bernadette with Y/N and after some interrogation saw that she was only here because of him so they join him.

*CRUNCH*

Revy: *stuffed mouth* This shit is good! Give me some extra steak!

Owner: That's gonna cost mone- *PLOP* coming right up!

Y/N slaps a few dollar bills onto the table and proceeds to get to his ramen when he notices Bernadette's bowl still untouched.

Y/N: What's wrong?

Bernadette: Um.........*embarrassed* I......haven't ate something like this in a long time.

Y/N: Cmon...it tastes good!

Bernadette: *nervous* I don't know what it tastes like....

Y/N: If you're not gonna eat with your own hands I'll do it for you!

Her face immediately flushes red as Y/N holds the spoon out to her mouth.

Y/N: *grin* Open wide~

Bernadette: *embarrassed* W-WHAT ARE YOU-

Y/N: Don't be shy~

Revy: *smirk* We already paid for the food so you better eat!

Bernadette: *embarrassed* I-I WILL NOT DO THIS!

Y/N: I'll do this just once ok? Now open your mouth.....nice and slow.......

Seeing that she had no other choice she hesitantly opens her mouth allowing for Y/N to gently pour the noodles and tofu into her mouth and takes the spoon out. She chews slowly, tasting the unfamiliar but delectable flavors that fills her mouth.

Y/N: How is it?

Bernadette:.....It's good.

Revy: Now that wasn't so hard was it~

Y/N: Want another bite?~

Bernadette: *grumble* Let me eat this myself....

She takes the chopsticks and spoon herself before eating quietly along with everyone.

Later

Revy: WWWWWOOOOOO!!!!

She raises her arms in the air while riding onto Y/N's flying nimbus along with Velvet. Y/N meanwhile was levitating alongside them at a fast speed with Bernadette flying with her 2 wings at the side.

Bernadette: Sightseeing?

Y/N: Yup!

Just then, they pass through the clouds revealing the moon in full view.

Velvet: *takes camera* Woah......*happy* it's so pretty~

Revy: It's a sight for sore eyes.

Y/N: Huh.........what do you think?

Bernadette: *smile* It sure is beautiful today.......

Later

They were all laying down on a flower field outside the city watching the stars above.

Velvet: *reaches up* It's so beautiful.......

Y/N: True....

Velvet: I miss my friends......

Y/N: Sorry....I'll try to see if I can go back to your world as soon as possible...

Velvet: It's fine......but I do miss them......

Revy: How long did you have those......powers for?

Y/N: I don't know. Maybe more than 5 years? I mean it's been a while and as of now I'm 19.

Revy:.........How many friends?

Y/N: Quite a bit. Some of them I visited, some of them I parted ways with,.......some of the died.

Velvet: D-Died?

Y/N: Story for another time......

Bernadette: You know......this is the first time I've ever interacted with another mortal like this.

Y/N: Really? Isn't there like a mortal you at least spoke to?

Bernadette: I'm committed to my duty.......however every time I do attempt to converse with a human genuinely they either ignore me or get scared off for my status.

Revy: *brow raised* Why the hell would you say you're an archangel?

Bernadette: They find out sooner or later.....I just can't hide it.......I should thank you for the experience today though Y/N.....it's been quite...fun as you would say.

Revy: *yawn* Yeah I seen better but.....it's pretty fun I have to admit.....

After a while of gazing at the stars, Y/N gets up.

Y/N: It's getting late.....we should be heading back now.

Velvet: *yawn* Yeah...I-I'm kinda sleepy....

He forms a nimbus under both Revy and Velvet as they quickly sat down.

Y/N: Do you want to go back with us?

Bernadette: I.......would love to but I have official business to get to soon.

Y/N: Is that so? I'll see you later then Bernadette.

Revy: *yawn* Hurry up Y/N~

*WOOSH*

She watches their fleeting form as they levitate out of her sight.

Bernadette: *smile* I'll see you later Y/N............
