Requester: wants to be kept anonymous

I have served the emperor for years. At first it was not by choice. I was sought after due to my clan's legend. The legend that one day one of my clan members will one day fall in love with a earthrealmer and give birth to a child of great power. A power like none other in my clan. The combination of outrealm and earthrealm blood becoming one will give birth to a great warrior. I was that child. After the extinction of my clan, the great emperor sought me out in order to become one of his ranks. When I was first captured, I hated the osh-tekk ruler. I thought that my place in the universe was to restore my clan. To help aid in the fight against the darkness seeking to conquer earthrealm. The thought of being the child of legend going to my head, but over the years, I came to the conclusion that it simply wasn't true. Yes, I am special, but does not make me above anyone else. A kindness I soon discovered within myself.

I was made a general in the emperor's army. Leader of my sector. I always shown kindness for of those under me. Feeding whatever food I had to give to the starving and over worked ones. I never punished unless I saw fit. Erron Black and D'vora on the other hand, were like beasts. Killing when it seemed fun or entertaining enough. They made it seem like doing so would lighten any dark moods. Yet it only made mine darker. They never understood why, because I refused to tell them. Serving the emperor not only humbled my ego, but taught me not to show my problems. It only made you look weak. Suddenly I was brought out of my reminiscing by the sound of a thud. I turn to see a member of my sector on the ground. His health was usually poor due to his lack of sleep and low food intake. This one usually gave up most of his plate to feed the younger and hungrier members of my command. The gentle soul this man possessed was of no other. I rushed to his side with swift pase. His coughs and slow yet heavy breathing could be heard from a mile away. I then began to pull out a small sack of sliced bread I usually carry with me for when he usually faints. I then give it to the young man holding him. He huffs with a small smile of his face as he began to feed the sickly elder.

"Why must you always care for us commander?" The elder one spoke, his voice is raspy and soft. I then pull out my small cork of water. "What do you mean? Isn't this how you should treat any living being?" I say with a small smile and a gentle voice. I held up the bottle for him to take. He smiled back and graciously took the bottle from my hand, placing it to his chapped lips. I then stand up, letting the two men continue to recover themselves. A small grunt could be heard behind me. I wipe the smile from my face as I turn around to face the one seeking my attention. Low and behold, there stood Black. "So this is why you always get pissy when I kill one of my underlings." He says in his thick county accent, his thumbs resting in his belt. "Yes Erron. It is." I say with a clear hint of poison lacing my words. "You always act like these guys were actually worth spit. Guess thats all you can expect from a cross breed." He spits back. A low growl erupted from my throat.

Soon the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard approaching the door from the hallway. I knew who it was, and which one would get into trouble. A small smirk made it on my face as I look to see who I was behind Erron. It was the Emperor himself. "Erron Black, what are doing at (y/n)'s post when you should be at yours?" His commanding voiced boomed behind Erron. The cowboy then slowly turns around and looks back at the tall Osh-tekk ruler. "My bad your highness. I'll be leaving right now." He says with his usual cocky tone. The only thing the Emperor does is humph as the gunslinger made his way around him and out of view. "Commander (y/n)." He says, making me drop my smirk and look him in the eyes.

"Yes emperor?" I answer, back straight as I speak with a similar tone as his. "Make sure you're not delaying yourself of your duties any further. Especially for the likes of Black." He says, and began to walk away. The only thing I could speak in reply was a "yes sir." as I turn back to my work. I mean, this war against Goro won't win itself will it.....

Time skip 2 months

We have just fought the battle of our lifes. Goro was no easy foe. I have only minor injuries, while the Emperor lays on the ground. I ran towards him, blood slowly surrounding his body. His groans with pain are like nails on a chalkboard to me. Once I made it over to him, I picked him up as best I could, and began carrying him to a place where I could lay him down and safely patch up his wounds. Once I found a grassy plains, I got to work. I had come prepared with bandages and some essentials for cleaning up wounds. I first grab the rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls. Knowing this may hurt, I was hesitant. "Emperor, this may hurt a bit." I say softly to him. He slowly nodded, his heavy breathing filling the silence for his words, giving me the ok. I only nod back as I put some alcohol on the small ball and placing it to his blue skin. The Kahn hissed in pain as the liquid came into contact with his wound, lightly gripping my shoulder to somewhat ease the pain.

I didn't mind, this stuff hurts like a bitch. After some time, his injuries were fully cleaned and bandaged. Small beads of sweat laid on his face from the agonizing process. I sigh with content as I finish my work. Soon exhaustion swept over me as I lay myself up against a tree. "Thank you, (y/n)." The Emperor's voice breaks the comfortable silence. "It was no problem Emperor. I am here to serve you after all..." I say with a small, yet barely visible, smile on my lips. What surprised me, was the the emperor smiled back. "Indeed, but I would like to see you smile more often general. It makes even dark situations like these brighter than they seem." His words were soft and gentle, not like he usually spoke to to me. Surprised and caught of guard, I replied with surprise in my voice."Thank you, emperor. Your words are too kind." My smile growing even brighter. "I think we should get some rest before heading back to the others. Once I regain my strength, I will teleport us back to the temple." I nodded as my eyes grew heavy, and darkness swallowed me whole.

When I woke up, I realized I was in a bed that wasn't my own. It was a lot bigger and the sheets were way softer. As I try to prop myself up, I could hear Kotal's footsteps approach the entrance of the door. I sigh in relief as I soon realized where I was. I was in the Emperor's bed. When the door opened, it revealed the owner of the room with a soft smile on his face. "(Y/n) you're awake. I'm glad your injuries were not too bad. When I teleported us back, you didn't wake up. I brought you to the healers they said you had very minor injuries and that it wouldn't take long to heal you. It seems they didn't take too long after all." He says in a cheerier tone than usual. This causes me to laugh awkwardly. "I'm sorry Emperor, I tend to be a very heavy sleeper. You have to be, if you sleep in the same place as Black." A small chuckle erupts from his lips. "That is very unfortunate as well as understandable." He says, making us both laugh. "I should get up and get back to my duties. I've been a burden enough taking up your room." I say as I try to get out of the bed. 'Too bad this bed was really comfortable.' I thought. Suddenly the Emperor rushed towards me. "(Y/n) you don't have to just yet. You are still recovering and need rest." He says with worry lacing his words. My eyes widen as he rushes to my side, gently pushing me back into the bed.

"Of course, but aren't I taking up your space?" I ask. His face softened. "Yes, but I'm not bothered. Rest as much as you need. You can return to your duties later on, but for now you need to heal." Say the Kahn. My began to feel slightly warm at his words, but I nodded in agreement as he began to walk away. I then lay back into the soft bed once more as I close my eyes, replaying the Osh-tekk's soft words in my head like a broken record player. Soon enough, darkness swallows me once more.

Once I open my eyes again, I realized it's the break of dawn. No one is up except for me, but I felt something awfully warm around my waist. I look down to see a large arm wrapped around me. When I looked to see who the owner of the arm was, my eyes widen and my face burned. It was Kotal. He held me tight against his chest as his slow breathing caused his chest to rise and fall against me. His heart was the only other sound in the room. I took this opportunity to lay my head further into his chest to listen to it better. The sound that each thump created was like the best song in the universe to me. I heard a sigh come from the Emperor's mouth, causing me to jump slightly. This was followed with a slight chuckle and him beginning to shift. "I know you are awake (y/n), you don't have to pretend." He says, moving so that he can look at me. "Emperor?" I say, the lump in my throat causing my voice to be small. "It's Kotal from now on." He states, pulling my body closer to his. The newly risen sun doesn't help my case either, lighting my already bright red face with shades of orange and yellow.

"(Y/n), you saved my life, and with that you stole the heart from out my chest without me even knowing. I can't go on like this. I need you by my side." His voice was gruff, but gentle, sending shivers up my spine. "Kotal." I pause, thinking to myself of my next set of words. His face soon grew disappointed, looking away from my face. I then place my hand on his warm cheek and turned it back to face me. "I need you with me as well. You saved me from myself all those years ago. You taught me what kindness was and what it meant to be alive. Kotal I share your feelings." I say with pure meaning. The way his face lit up at my words, that feeling, could only be described with one word. Happiness. Pure joy. His hold on me grew tighter, as if I would fade away from him. Our lips grew closer and closer, until they finally met. It was almost like getting shocked with lightning. The feeling was a rush. Soon we break for air. The electrifying feeling still lingered on my lips. I small chuckle erupts from the my lips. "What's so funny?" The Kahn asks, curiosity and amusement in his words. "Nothing, just that Black and Reptile are gonna have a hay day when they hear about this." I say with laughter at the end of my words. A smirk grows on the Emperor's face as he leans into my ear and whispers:

"Not if they want to keep their hides."
