(SCENE: SHAO KAHN'S KOLISEUM) (POV: OSCAR)

We've arrived at the Koliseum to see robots capturing.......Sub Zero? He's dead! we saw his skull and spinal cord ourselves! Suddenly, two more robots appeared: one red and one cyan.

The red one seems familiar, but I have no idea who the cyan one is. "Sektor & Hydro." Smoke says in a low growl like voice as I was shocked at this. Sektor? Wasn't he apart of the first tournament along with Cyrax? Man, I need to get back in the loop.

"Now interrupts the tournament?!?!?" Shang Tsung demands to know as Sektor & Hydro bows at Shao Kahn. "We request to return him to our temple for judgement." Sektor explains. "And what do I gain from such a brazen request?" Shao Kahn asks.

"The Lin Kuei's loyalty & service." Hydro says as Shao Kahn chuckles softly at this. "Betraying your own Grandmaster to join me? My, my, such bold warriors you are." Shao Kahn says.

"The previous Grandmaster, my father, has outlived his usefulness and has been exterminated. I, Sektor, am now the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei." Sektor reveals, shocking us greatly.

'Killing his own father?!?!? Do the Lin Kuei have any sense of honor?!?!?' I said in my mind as I pulled out of it by Shao Kahn's voice. "Very well then. Take him. I will enjoy our new arrangements, Grandmaster." He says as Sektor, Hydro & the other robots disappeared before any of us could help him.

"The time flow has changed indeed. I spared Smoke this fate, only to watch this new Sub Zero fall." Raiden says with guilt in his voice. "Kitana!" Shao Kahn calls with anger & disappointment in his voice as Kitana approached her father. "How is it that Earthrealm ninjas brazenly appear before me when my daughter, the Princess of Outworld, was sent to intercept them?!?!?" He asks her with disappointment and anger in his voice.

"Father, I can explain-" She tries to defend herself when Shao Kahn stops her. "Silence! And begone!" Shao Kahn exclaims as Kitana, with hurt in her eyes, leaves the Koliseum.

"Kitana's faith is a slender reed, bent before the storm. If it can be uprooted all together." Raiden says as he decides to follow Kitana. "Great. Let's go ruin someone else's day." Johnny Cage says as he follows Raiden, leaving me and Smoke behind.

"Smoke, please tell me Cyrax & Frost are spared from the Cyber Initiative's insanity." I asked with concern in my voice. "Yes, they're not turned. So, there's that." He says. "Good, even a small group can destroy a tyrant. And don't worry, we will get Sub Zero back, I promise my life on it." I said as Smoke gives me a nod as the two of us follows the others.

(SCENE CHANGE: WASTELANDS OF OUTWORLD) (POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON)

Meanwhile, near a beach in Outworld, Kitana & Jade are seen arguing. "Is this how you showed your loyalty, Jade?" Kitana asks in a angry tone. "Kitana, I-" Jade tries to reason, but won't hear it.

"You follow me when I clearly wish to be alone, then you upbraid me? I won't be scolded like a child!" She exclaims. "I'm concerned for your safety. I've never seen your father this angry with you." Jade explains as Kitana prepares to walk away.

"I understand the stress of his expectations, but you shouldn't let the stress affect like this." Jade says as Kitana stops and turns around to face Jade. "I'm sorry, my friend, but I wish to be alone. We will continue this discussion later." Kitana says as Jade nods her head and leaves.

Shortly after she left, lightning came down as Raiden, Johnny Cage, Smoke, Oscar & his group emerges from it. "Princess Kitana, I request an audience." He says as Kitana turns around and gets ready for combat when she noticed Sheeva amongst.

"Sheeva?!? Why are you with Earthrealmers?!?" Kitana asks. "I am now the betrothed wife to Oscar Luonto, for he bested Goro, Kintaro & me in combat." Sheeva explains as Kitana, knowing of the laws, nods her head.

"Now then, may you grant my audience?" Raiden asks as Kitana thought hard on this. She then gave her conclusion. "Speak. And be quick." She says as Raiden nods his head at this.

"Princess Kitana, I sense an inner conflict within you. Something whispers to you that circumstances should be different. That you should be different. You are more like your mother than Shao Ka-" Raiden explains, but he is interrupted by vision showing a screaming Sindel.

"But that cannot be." Raiden says in a low voice as everyone was confused at this. "Raiden, what's wrong?" Oscar asks as Raiden seemingly ignores him. "You need answers, Kitana. I can help you find them, if you will trust me." Raiden says as Kitana reluctantly agrees to trust him.

"Go to Shang Tsung's Flesh Pits. Much will be revealed there." Raiden says as Kitana was taken back by this. "I have been forbidden to go there by my father." Kitana says. "Yes. You are. But ever wondered why?" Raiden asks as Kitana thinks about it. "Go to the Flesh Pits and discover your true path." He says as he teleports himself & his group elsewhere, not noticing the disappearance of a certain individual.

(SCENE CHANGE: LIVING FOREST) (POV CHANGE: OSCAR)

After Raiden's talk with Kitana, I decided to follow her in secret by taking the form of a rat. So far, she doesn't expect a thing. But then, she stopped dead in her tracks.

'Crap, did she made me?' I thought to myself. "Show yourself, Jade. I know you're following me. Again." She says aloud, making me breathe a sigh of relief as I see Jade emerging from the forest.

"Following you still. I know where you are going. Shao Kahn has ordered me to stop you." She says. "And why is that?" Kitana asks as she approaches Jade. "I do not answer the emperor's commands. Please, Kitana. Turn back." Jade begs as Kitana shook her head at this.

"I cannot, Jade. The answers to all of my doubts & questions lies in the Flesh Pits. I'm sorry, Jade, but I will not allow you to stop me." She says as she and Jade do combat.

I watched as Kitana bested Jade. She approached the unconscious Jade with a look of sadness on her face. "I am sorry, Jade. But this is something I must do on my own." She says as she continues on to the Flesh Pits as I tail her quietly.

Eventually, we reached a large boulder as Kitana pressed her hand against it, causing a door to magically appear from it. She enters the door as it magically closes behind her.

Damnit! Now I can't follow her. But suddenly, the sound of pounding attracts my attention. I followed it to a hole in the ground. I decided to change my form from a rat to a venomous snake, to better my change of surviving in case I come face to face with a beast.

I then slither down the hole.

(SCENE CHANGE: SHANG TSUNG'S FLESH PITS)

As I slither out of a vent that connects to the hole I entered from, I found myself in front of a kinda holding cell. I now know the pounding sounds came from a man with glowing markings inside of the cell.

I transform back to my human form as I approach the cell. "Hello, I am looking for the main room of the Flesh Pits. Can you direct me to it?" I asked as the man turns to me.

"I can. But first, you must do something for me first: open my cell." He says as I was skeptical at this. "I will, you have my word. But I need the information first." I said as the man agrees on these terms.

"The fastest way is through Shang Tsung's private quarters. Go left till you find a door with a cobra symbol on it. Enter the room and turn right. There's a staircase that leads to the room you desire." He explains as I nod my head at this.

"Thank you. Now for my end of the bargain." I said as I bent down to the cell's lock. Damnit, it's an encoded lock. It will take too long to unlock it. But then, I sensed someone approaching me from behind.

I swiftly turned around to see three women approaching me: one in red clothing, a brown skinned one in yellow attire and one with bat wings. "Looks ladies, I'm not here to fight, so let's just pretend this never happens." I said as they said nothing.

Then, the brown skinned woman holds up a key and throws it at me. I quickly caught it as I was confused at this. "What? Why?" I asked them. "Because we too despise Shao Kahn, but we cannot disobey him. Everything will be explained shortly." The woman with bat wings cryptically explains as she and the others left.

I was confused at this, but I decided to push those thoughts for later as I used the keys to unlock the cell's door. "I thank you, young one. If we are too meet again, I shall grant you any request." He says as he rushes off.

"I'll hold you to that, when we do meet." I said as I go in the opposite direction. Looking at each door I come across, I stopped at one with a cobra symbol on it, just like that guy says.

Carefully entering the room, I see experimentation tubes filled with different kinds of creatures: from creatures like Shokans & Tarkatans to creatures that resemble humanoid bugs and others that have a more beastly appearance to them.

I approached a work bench to see all kinds of notes and a bag glowing in six different colors: green, red, orange, purple, blue and yellow. I grab the bag and opened it up, revealing six glowing gems that seems to be pulsing with energy.

I pulled one of the gems out of the bag and inspect it. "What the hell could Shang Tsung want with these gems?" I asked myself as I put the gem place and tied the bag onto my waist.

I head down the staircase he mentioned as I saw women identical to Kitana in tubes, except some have Tarkatan, Shokan & Reptile like traits. "Shang Tsung, you sick fuck." I whispered to myself as I suddenly hear a female's scream & it wasn't Kitana's.

Peeking around the corner, I saw Kitana trying to calm down a crying woman that bares a striking resemblance to her, except for the Tarkatan like teeth. Suddenly, Shang Tsung came onto the scene. "How dare you make your sibling cry, Kitana?!?" Shang Tsung scolds, making me wide eyed at this.

"Shang Tsung! Using my essences to create clones?!?! My father will have your head for this!" Kitana exclaims in anger. "I am merely perfecting you, Princess. As difficult as that might be." Shang Tsung says.

"Silence! I will drag you by your pointed beard!" She exclaims in anger as she battles Shang Tsung. Kitana emerged victorious as she approached the downed sorcerer and hoist him up onto his feet. "Get up. You will now stand before my father and confess your deeds." She says as she turns to her supposed sister.

"Go with Oscar, he'll keep you safe." She says as I surprised & shocked at this. I stepped out from the shadows as I approached Kitana. "How long?" I asked in confusion. "Since you started following me in the form of a rat." She says as my jaw dropped at this.

I shook free from my shock as her sister grabbed my hand. I look to see her tear stained face as my heart tugs a bit at this. "Okay, we'll go. Just don't get yourself killed or anything." I said as I guide Kitana's sister out of the Flesh Pits.

(SCENE CHANGE: SHAO KAHN'S THRONE ROOM) (POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON)

In the throne room of Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung is tied down and watched by two Tarkatans while Kitana approaches Shao Kahn. "I would not disturb you, father, if matter were not of the utmost importance. But you should be aware of what Shang Tsung has been doing as of late. He created replicas of me, crossbred with blood from other races. A Tarkatan one was alive & I fear she would attack me, but she broke into tears because of lies and deceit this conjurer spewed." She explains as Shao Kahn approached the two.

"Shang Tsung. Your failure to create me the perfect daughter has disappointed me greatly." He says, shocking Kitana greatly. "What?!? You know?!? You approved?!? How could you?!? My own father?!?" Kitana exclaims in heartbreak and betrayal as it was quickly met by Shao Kahn's anger.

"I am your Emperor! Your father was a weak Edenian king that I killed when I conquered the realm in Mortal Kombat. I took his wife for my own as a trophy, but she convinced me of your worth. But now, I see she was wrong." He explains as Kitana backs away at this.

"Raiden was right. You've lied to me my entire life." She says as Shao Kahn turns to his Tarkatan warriors. "Take her to the Tower. I'll make an example out of her." He orders as the Tarkatans grabbed Kitana by her arms and dragged out of the room.

Unknowingly to them, Jade emerges from behind a pillar and looks on with shame & regret. "Kitana. I'm sorry. I've failed you." She says as the shame & regret filled look changes into one of determination. "But now I'll make amends." She says as she follows the Tarkatans.

(Here's chapter 7 done. Sorry about the Kitana & Mileena being cut, but I might make a short chapter to help fill in the blanks, though I'm not sure if that would be necessary. Anyways, next chapter will be like this one: starts at the end of Jade's chapter & at the beginning of Kung Lao's chapter.)
