(SCENE: UA) (POV: OSCAR)

I had just been informed by Hanzo about the mission at Shield Island, and I was troubled greatly. What they did was unforgivable, but I can sense Melissa will head down a dark path.

A path I would've taken & one Hanzo knows all too well. We can't allow that, but we also can't deny Melissa some sort of closure. So, we decided to go and talk with her.

We head to her temporary room when we heard Ass Might talking to her from behind the door. "Niece, with your aid, we could sue & imprison that Quirkless bastard and his fools for what they did to you." We heard that buffoon, trying to pin the blame on us.

I scowled at this as Hanzo gave me a reassuring pat on the shoulder. I smiled softly at this as I calmed down. Soon, Ass Might left, frustrated at his niece not answering him.

Once he was gone & out of listening range, me and Hanzo approached Melissa's door. I knocked on the door. "Melissa. It's me, Oscar. Hanzo Hasashi is with me. We want to talk." I said politely.

We heard the door unlocking & opening. Melissa looks a bit cold and depressed looking as she gestured for us to enter. We did, with both me & Hanzo sharing expressions of concern. Once inside, she closes the door and locked it.

"What do you two want?" She asks in annoyance. "Melissa, we're here because of your Father." I said as Hanzo nods in agreement. "We know the pain you feel: I lost my family & clan to Quan Chi's evil while Oscar lost his honor and reputation. Though the two pains are different, they all stem from loss." Hanzo adds on.

Melissa says nothing as she listens to us. "I understand if you don't want anything to do with us & you have every reason to join All Might and the others in suing us & everything. But listen to us when we say: revenge can be a treat, but it is also a deadly venom." I explained.

"He is right. I know that feeling better than everyone. I was so consumed by vengeance, that I nearly doomed the Realms. My vengeance & anger cost me my one chance to have my family and clan restored. Vengeance & anger can be great tools, but they are dangerous allies. You can get lost in their darkness & become a monster of pain and regret." Hanzo explains as Melissa thought about this.

"Melissa, we're not telling you to abandon your desire for vengeance, but we're trying to offer you a chance to use your anger in a healthy way." I said. "And if you want, I can help you. I can train you." Hanzo adds on. Melissa thought about this when the PA system turned on.

'Oscar Luonto, please come to the office' We heard Nezu's voice through the PA System. "Well, duty calls. Just remember what we've said." I told Melissa as I disappeared in a whirl of leaves.

(SCNW CHANGE: NEZU'S OFFICE)

I appeared in Nezu's office in a swirl of leaves. "Nezu, I'm here." I said as I approached him. "Ah good. Our allies in Outworld have been send to Australia to look for Shao Kahn. If we can defeat him, it will neutralize him & his Outworlders as a threat." Nezu explains as I nod in agreement. "Sounds good. They are the backbone of the enemy's forces." I said in agreement.

"Exactly. Kotal Kahn and his forces are investigating the Lost Hive of the Kytinn, D'Vorah's ancestral home. We believe they are there." Nezu says as I nod at this. "What of the heroes? Any of them joining the hunt?" I asked as Nezu shook his head.

"Unfortunately, no. The Hero Commission sent most of the heroes to Shield Island to reclaim it. The sidekicks have also been re-routed to deal with crowd control." He explains as I nod at this.

(SCENE CHANGE: AUSTRALIA) (POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON)

Meanwhile, in Australia, Kotal Kahn, his group & Jade are following the trail of Shao Kahn and his forces on horseback. "This reminds me of our first day together. We always patrol and survey the territorial boundaries of Outworld." Jade says as Kotal chuckles. "Yes, I remember those days." He says.

"It's been many years since then. But you haven't changed. You are still the same noble warrior I've met oh so long ago. And now you're Kahn, one far surpassing Shao Kahn in every way. I'm surprised no woman has claimed your bed and become your queen." Jade says as Kotal smiled at this.

"Many have tried." He says as Jade turns to him. "And yet they failed. Why?" She questions as Kotal looks to her. "Because my heart belongs only to you." He says as Jade smiles. "As does mine to you." She says.

Soon, they reached the Hive as they dismounted their horses. "Fresh tracks of Shao Kahn & his allies. They lead into the Hive. But they are endless and contain countless twists & turns." Jade says as Kotal Kahn nods in agreement.

"So, what now, boss?" Present Erron Black asks. "We could smoke them out, but the fires may unleash the Hive's other residents." Kotal Kahn says to himself, trying to figure out a way to lure Shao Kahn & his allies out.

Suddenly, large Kytinn insects burst out of the ground and attacked. Everyone defended themselves. But then, a Kytinn insect grabbed Jade and dragged her away. Kotal Kahn tried to go after her, but was blocked by 3 Kytinn insects.

(SCENE CHANGE: LOST HIVE OF THE KYTINN)

The Kytinn insect dragged Jade deep into the Hive. The insect held her tightly as the Revenant version of Jade appeared, holding her Bo-Staff. "Hold her." The revenant orders the insect as she approaches Jade.

Jade manages to move out of the way in time as the revenant accidentally killed the insect with a strike to the head. Now freed, Jade quickly dodged her revenant's attacks. "By the Gods, is this what I would've become?!?" She asks in disbelief.

"Blame your loyalty & your foolish belief of 'sisterly bond' to Kitana. It led to my demise and to yours had Oscar hadn't intervened." The revenant says. "Then I would've died with honor, knowing I stuck by Kitana's side till our dying breaths. I would never trade our bonds for anything." Jade proclaims.

"It's pitiful you chose servitude." The revenant says with a scowl. "She and I fight side by side against Shao Kahn, Shinnok & anyone else who threatens Outworld, Edenia or all of the realms. Their evil cannot stand." Jade says as she & her revenant battle one another.

Though they're practically identical move wise, Jade's close bond to Kitana & the others gave her the drive and determination to win. "Quan Chi's evil made you forget why we fight. You are the one who should feel pity for." She said to her defeated revenant.

Suddenly, she heard Kotal Kahn's battle cry from above. Looking up, she got out of the way as Kotal Kahn & D'Vorah fell down from the ceiling. Once on the ground, Kotal Kahn attempts to hit her with his hooks.

"You'll bleed for your betrayal, D'Vorah." Kotal Kahn  proclaims. "This One acts only for the Hive's survival." She says as she brought out her Ovipositors.

However, Jade threw her shuriken at D'Vorah as it hit her shoulder. "That belief & ideology is what left you banished from your homeland. Thank the Elder Gods your sister, A'Vital, took over as Queen of the Kytinn. She is ten times the leader you'll ever be." She says.

D'Vorah managed to get back up and grabbed the shuriken that's embedded in her shoulder as she ripped it out and threw to the ground. "A'Vital is a compassionate fool, unworthy of being either Queen or a Kytinn. Onaga promise to restore me to my former glory, once he rewrites history." D'Vorah says.

Jade turns to Kotal Kahn. "May I have this dance?" She asks with a smirk. Kotal Kahn smirks back. "Yes, let's." He says as he & Jade double teamed D'Vorah.

(A/n: NOW IN THAT WAY, YOU FILTHY PERVERTED DEGENERATES!)

Their combined efforts defeated D'Vorah with relative ease. "Now, tell us where Shao Kahn & his allies are?" Jade questions, holding her staff to D'Vorah's throat. D'Vorah growled. "T-The Outworld camp. To the north." She was forced to reveal.

Jade only nods as she then ruthlessly impaled her staff through D'Vorah's skull.

(SCENE CHANGE: OUTWORLD CAMP)

Jade, Kotal Kahn & their forces reached a cliff, overlooking the camp, which holds the past Tarkatans, past Shokans & Centaurs that are aligned with Shao Kahn. "Ghosts of the Past. D'Vorah spoke true for once." Kotal Kahn says as Jade nods in agreement.

"What now? We're outnumbered." Reptile questions. Jade then got an idea. "Give me a few of your best soldiers. We'll infiltrate the camp & search for Shao Kahn unseen." Jade proposed.

"Actually, I have a better idea." Spoke a female voice. Everyone turned around to see Ragdoll approaching them. "Who you, Cat Lady?" Ferra asks on top of Torr. "The name's Tomoko Shirentoko, but I'm known by my Pro Hero name as Ragdoll." She introduce herself.

"I see. Tell us, Ms. Tomoko, how can you help us?" Kotal Kahn asks. "My Quirk, Search, can reveal anyone's location. Normally, this would allow me to come along, but thanks to some notes from both Izuku & Oscar, plus with some technical help from the Support Group, managed to build a workaround, in a sense." She explains as she took out a hi tech pair of goggles & hands it to Jade.

Jade puts them on and, to her surprise, it's everything Ragdoll says it is. "Thank you. This would most certainly help." Jade says as Ragdoll nods. "Happy to help. But before I forget, don't over rely on it. Growing too dependent on it could cause you to be deceived." Ragdoll warns as she took out a magical stone that seems to have Oscar's symbol on it. "Now, I'm heading back to Japan to rejoin my team. Talk to you all later." She says as she uses the stone to open a portal back to Japan as she walks into it.

With that said, Jade & Kotal's best soldiers infiltrate the camp. Thanks to the goggles Ragdoll gave her, Jade managed to maneuver her way past the guards & into the camp's center.

However, instead of Shao Kahn or AFO or anyone else, they found Kollector instead. "Shao Kahn's bottom feeding scavenger." Jade growled as the Tarkatans, Shokans & Centaurs encircle Jade's group. "Better than being a traitorous shrew, like you." He growled.

Suddenly, a commotion was heard as it was revealed Kotal & his forces are fighting against the armies, thought they're seen pulling their punches a bit by not killing any Tarkatan, Shokan or Centaur.

"Before Shao Kahn raised me up, Outworlders despised & enslaved us Naknadas. Now, they fear us. Tell me that is not progress." He says as he & Jade fight.

Kollector carries a wide variety of weapons, tools & magic, making him a tough opponent for even a skilled fighter like Jade. However, she utilizes her centuries of experience to her advantage.

"Fear and respect aren't equals, Vulture." She says to the defeated Naknada. Soon, Kotal Kahn rushed to Jade. "Jade! Are you okay!?" He asks in concern. "Yes, love. I'm fine." She says with a smile as Kotal Kahn breathes out a sigh of relief.

"Jade. I have something to ask you." Kotal Kahn says as Jade raised an eyebrow. "Yes?" She asks. "Jade, the moment I met you, it was as if the Elder Gods sent me a gift from above. And...I want to spend my entire life with you." He says.

"Jade, will you-" But before he could ask her, he was suddenly hit with a powerful blast of energy as his forces were swiftly subdued & knocked out, leaving Jade all alone. "KOTAL!" She exclaims in fear and concern.

But before she could rush to his side, she was tackled to the ground and pinned by the Alternate Nitara. Soon, Shao Kahn & his forces emerged. Upon seeing the sight of his subdued or unconscious foes, Shao Kahn smirked wickedly & evilly.

(Here's chapter 30 done. Sorry for the long wait and such, I was busy with other stuff and I was distracted or preoccupied with other things such as video games, messed up sleep schedules & AI Chats. But now I wish to try and refocus my attention to this story from time to time. Anywho, the next chapter will be the Attack on the UA/Special Forces Base.)
