(SCENE: SHANG TSUNG'S ISLAND) (POV: OSCAR)

As we exit the portal, we take in our surroundings to find ourselves on some sort of a tropical island. "What a beautiful place." Nana says as we nod in agreement.

"Hey guys, look." Dabi says, catching our attention as he points to a structure in the distance. "That must be where we need to go. Come on, hope we're not too late." I said as we make our way to the structure.

(SCENE CHANGE: SHANG TSUNG'S COURTYARD)

Upon arriving at the structure, we discover it to be a Courtyard and it filled with all kinds of people. We decided to take our place near two people: one of Chinese origins while the other wears a straw hat & has otherworldly blue eyes.

Suddenly, the sounds of drums started playing as several monks appeared. I took this opportunity to check out the people around us. I spotted a sunglass wearing man in a tuxedo, a blond women in military attire, four different colored ninjas: three males and a female, a man with red face paint, an all white man with red and black marking, a ninja with demonic like qualities, a man with a cybernetic eye & a red haired woman with pigtails.

Soon, more people came to the Courtyard. This time, it was an elderly man in a red robe. With him, are four female ninjas, dressed in clothing that are colored blue, green, red & yellow. The old man also has a woman with bat wings & a four armed woman amongst his group. The only other male in the group seems to be a hideous monster with jagged fangs & spiky forearms.

With a raising of his hands, the monks sat down in their seats and the drumming stopped as he starts to speak. "Kombatants. I am Shang Tsung! In the coming days, each of you will fight. Some are here of their own volition, others were brought here by chance." He explains as he almost seems to direct it at the man in sunglasses.

I was trying to block him out while he was too busy gloating some cheap movies he claims to star in. The military woman, however, seemed to be more interested in the guy with the cybernetic eye.

"You will participate in the most important Mortal Kombat in history! This tournament, the 10th after 9 Outworld victories, will determine the fate of Earthrealm. If you defeat all of your opponents, you will face one final challenge: me." Shang Tsung explains as the man in the sunglasses scoffed at this.

"That old geezer's the final challenge? They might as well give me the belt right now." He arrogantly proclaims as he then asks the question. "They do have belts, right?" He asks.

"No, they don't. Also, you might want to turn around." I said as the man in the sunglasses turned to see Shang Tsung behind him, startling him. "What? How did you-" He was about to ask when Shang Tsung stopped him. "Appearances can be deceiving." He says as he levitates back to his throne.

"Our first Kombatant will be Mr. Cage!" Shang Tsung announced as the man started acting arrogant & confident. "That's right! That's right! Who's it gonna be?" He asks with overconfidence.

Shang Tsung took a quick look at the fighters present as he points at me. "He'll be your opponent." He says as I shrugged my shoulders & join Cage.

"Hey kid, didn't get your name. I'm the one & only Johnny Cage. I'll give you an autograph when I win." He says with an self absorbed tone in his voice as I rolled my eyes at this. "Yeah, no. Not here to socialize. I'm here to fight." I said as I crack my neck in anticipation for the battle.

"Begin!" Shang Tsung exclaims. "All right! It's showtime!" Johnny Cage exclaims as he charged at me with a green glowing kick, but I caught the kick. I then zapped him with a electrical discharge, stunning him.

While he was stunned, I transformed myself into a bipedal, thick headed dinosaur called a Pachycephalosaurus.

I then lowered my head and bashed my head directly into his gut, knocking him onto his back. I transformed back into my human form as I created a tornado & hoisted him up in the air.

I jumped at him while changing into a Silverback Gorilla. I grabbed him by his leg as I started going, what people may call, going ape shit.

After I was done, I threw Johnny Cage onto the ground. "There was no Gorilla in the script." He groans out in pain as he passes out. I turned back into my human form as monks came in & took Johnny Cage away for medical treatment.

"Interesting match, young man." Shang Tsung says while stroking his beard. "Now for your next challenge, young man. Baraka!" Shang Tsung exclaims as the creature from before jumped down from where he was at and turned to me.

"Okay, this time, I'll fight you without my powers." I said as I took out my Khopesh swords. "My blades will taste your flesh." He says as he charged at me with his blades.

I countered with my swords as he & I struggle to gain any ground. Eventually, he was starting to lose steam as I took this opportunity to knock him onto his back with a leg sweep. I then stomped on his head, knocking him out. "All those blades and teeth, yet they're all useless with mixed with feral instincts." I said as I sheathe my swords.

"Good work. Now, finish him!" Shang Tsung orders, but I shook my head at this. "I will not kill him." I said as Shang Tsung appears to be disappointed at me about my mercy. "Very well." He says in a low growl kinda voice as he stands up.

"The Tournament will resume at dawn!" Shang Tsung announces as nearly everyone leaves the courtyard. I rejoined my group as we were approached the two men from before. "You fought well, young man." The man with the straw hat praised.

"Thank you. But I got a sense you didn't come here to sing my praises." I said as the guy nods in confirmation at this. "Indeed. I am curious as to where you all are form. I have not seen any Earthrealmer with your unique abilities." He says as I decided to give him the short version of our origins.

"We're actually from another world, one where everyone has superpowers called Quirks." I briefly explain, shocking the two men. "You all are from another realm? How did you get here?" The man with similarities to Bruce Lee asks as I hold my medallion up to them. "We got help from a certain beautiful lady & her Mother and friend." I said as the straw hat man seems to recognize the medallion.

"So, Cetrion & Kronika has sent you all? Interesting." He says as he appears to be in deep thought. "So, we kinda skip introductions. My name is Oscar Luonto & these are my friends: Himiko Toga, Dabi, Lady Nagant, Stain & Nana Shimura." I introduced both me & the others.

"Pleasure to meet you all. I am Raiden, God of Thunder & Protector of Earthrealm. And by my side is Liu Kang, my chosen fighter." Raiden says as Liu Kang bows in respect at us. "I know you have just fought two battles, but I humbly request your assistance. It's about the woman called Sonya Blade. I sense she is in need of help." Raiden explains.

"I have no problem with it. Do you guys?" I asked my group. "Nope, we don't." They said in unison while shaking their heads. "It's unanimous. We'll help Sonya." I said as Raiden then raised a hand as he, Liu Kang & us were covered in lightning.

(POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON) (SCENE CHANGE: SHANG TSUNG'S GARDEN)

Raiden, Liu Kang & Oscar's Group teleported to Shang Tsung's Garden to find Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage & another man with her. The man is of African American origins and is badly wounded. The man also seems to be of military status as he dons clothing & armor similar to that of a military soldier. This is Major Jackson 'Jax' Briggs.

They all then approached the trio. "What happened to him?" Oscar asks as Sonya adopts an angry expression. "Shang Tsung & the rest of those bastards. They beat him to a bloody pulp & then threw him into a cage to die. Worse of all, that sonuva bitch stopped me from capturing Kano." Sonya explained while Raiden was healing Jax of his injuries.

"Who exactly is this Kano? Me and my friends aren't exactly from around here." Oscar says. "In short terms: he's a criminal mastermind & leader of a crime syndicate. He's also the bastard that killed a lot of our men." Sonya explains as Oscar & his friends now understands the danger Kano is.

Once Raiden finished healing his wounds, Jax was in awe. "That's amazing." He says with amazement as he stands up. "Thank you." Sonya says. "Gratitude is unnecessary. I have foreseen events, memories of the future. They lead me to believe that we all are connected to the fate of Earthrealm." Raiden explains as everyone listens closely on what he's saying.

"What have you foreseen?" Liu Kang asks. "In my visions, Shao Kahn becomes invincible. He destroys all life in all the Realms. We will all die." Raiden says with a grim ton in his voice as everyone feels uneasy at this.

"I believe these visions are a guide in defeating Shao Kahn. But altering the events of time could wield severe consequences." Raiden says. "Then, by the life we were given by Cetrion & Kronika, we will try my absolute best to make sure such consequences are avoided." Oscar proclaims as his group nods in agreement.

"I am afraid certain & more destructive events can't be changed or avoided. But I will hope you can help us when events turn dark." Raiden says as Oscar & his group nod their heads at this.

"Well? What about the rest of us? Are we suppose to sit around & twiddle our thumbs?" Johnny asks. "As for now, the Tournament must continue till it reaches its end." Raiden says as Sonya steps forward.

"All right then. We're all with you, Raiden." She says as everyone present all nod in agreement.

So, expect things like this to happen and if you don't like it, then I apologize in advance. Anyways, next up will be Scorpion's chapter.)
