(SCENE: ROOFTOP) (POV: OSCAR)

After taking care of Hydro, the Cyber Lin Kuei & Empress Sindel, Raiden teleports most of us to a rooftop where Shao Kahn's about to emerge from a portal. "He's here." Liu Kang says as Raiden approaches the portal.

"Everyone, stay on guard and be prepared to intervene in case this goes wrong." I ordered as everyone prepared for a battle while Raiden stops in front of the portal. Shao Kahn emerges into Earthrealm as Raiden bows before the Emperor.

"Ah, Raiden, you have come to your senses." Shao Kahn mockingly says. "Earthrealm's citizens suffer. Further resistance serves no purpose." Raiden says as Shao Kahn shook his head at this. "All these ages you have fought me, denied me my rightful claim! Not this time." He says as he uppercuts Raiden across the rooftop.

"The Elder Gods fear me now." He says as he started laughing. He approaches Raiden and hoist him up from his tunic. "Their pathetic Mortal Kombat shackles me no longer." He says as he started striking him back & forth until he tosses him towards the other side of the rooftop. While in mid flight, Raiden's amulet fell off from his tunic & onto the ground, shattering into millions of pieces.

Shao Kahn approaches Raiden as he summoned his Wrath Hammer. "They masquerade as dragons, but are mere toothless worms." He says as he stomps on Raiden's chest. "I know you can feel it. It is the end of all things." He says as he started glowing with green energy from the souls he has consumed.

"Elder Gods! Please! Earthrealm need you! Cetrion! Your chosen fighter needs you!" Raiden calls out, but gets stopped by Shao Kahn stomping on his chest again, causing the god of Thunder to cough up blood. "Such poor choice of words." He says as he hoist him up from his tunic again. "Because they'll be your last." He says as he throws him across the opposite side of the rooftop.

Raiden slowly gets up as Shao Kahn approaches him. "Ages wasted in foolish resistance. I have won." He says as Raiden loses all hope. "Yes, you have won." He says with utter hopelessness in his voice. I can't help but wonder if the Elder Gods aren't coming and Raiden was wrong.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by Shao Kahn. "Now Raiden, your world ends." He says as he's about to kill Raiden. I decided to intervene by blasting Shao Kahn with an electrical blast.

"Don't celebrate victory just yet, Shao Kahn!" I called out as me and the others gather in front of Raiden. As soon as Shao Kahn got back up & sees me, his face turns into anger. "You! You nearly succeeded in killing me, but I manage to heal from your assault. Now, I'll use your head to decorate my throne, alongside that monk & Thunder god." Shao Kahn says as he prepares for battle when lightning started coming down.

Suddenly, a portal opens up and 7 dragons emerges from it. I recognize two of them as Cetrion & Kronika because I feel their familiar energies. They and the others started swirling around us as we were  all lifted into the air.

A bright light shine as we felt the powers of the Gods & a Titan flowing through us. Once the power flow was done, our powers has skyrocket to unbelievable heights & our outfits have transformed to resemble a more godly and immortal like appearance.

"You violate our will, Shao Kahn. We couldn't stop your invasion because of our rule that prevents us from meddling with mortal struggles. But now, we've decided to revoke that law. Now, we can interfere whenever we want. So now, you must be punished." The Elder Gods & Kronika says through us as we blast Shao Kahn with golden lightning.

Our blast made Shao Kahn skid back halfway across the rooftop. We stopped our blast as Shao Kahn laughs at our blast. "An anemic effort from ineffectual deities! Today I become THE Elder God!" Shao Kahn exclaims as he charged at us.

Sub-Zero & Frost stopped him dead in his tracks with dual ice blasts. Cyrax throws several bombs underneath the emperor as they self destructed, sending him high in the air. Smoke appears behind him in a puff of smoke as he grabs him and suplex/pile drives him into the ground.

Shao Kahn tries to get up, but gets pelted with several knives and gunshots from Toga, Lady Nagant & Stryker. Shao Kahn uses his magic to forcefully remove the knives & bullets from his body, but he failed to noticed Raiden & Dabi behind him.

The two combined their powers and blast Shao Kahn's back, severely burning his back & giving it fourth degree burns. He yells out in pain as he nearly fell to his knees.

Kabal raced behind him and hooked him with his swords as he places his foot on his back and started pulling his swords back while his foot forward. While Shao Kahn was trapped, Stain started stabbing his stomach & gut with his katana swords.

Shao Kahn uses his powers to send Kabal & Stain flying back. He then removes the hookswords from his shoulders and threw them aside. However, he failed to to notice Nana rushing at him. She unleashed a flurry of punches all over his upper body & face, breaking parts of his armor & helmet.

She lands a powerful uppercut, sending Shao Kahn flying back. Jax caught him in mid flight, breaks his back over his knee, grabs him by his neck & started punching his face repeatedly. After he was done, he threw him directly into nearby rubble.

Shao Kahn tries to get up, but he gets pelted with green glowing arrows, courtesy of Nightwolf. He then conjures up lightning directly at the arrows, electrocuting him as well. Once his electrocution was finished, Kung Lao threw his hat directly at Shao Kahn's chest, piercing into his chest as it starts spinning like a saw, digging deeper into his chest.

While Shao Kahn was in shock from the pain in his chest, Liu Kang came flying towards him via a Flying Dragon Kick that knocks Shao Kahn through the rubble and near the edge of the rooftop. I teleport near Shao Kahn as I grabbed one of his legs, spun him around like a helicopter and threw back towards the others. I teleport back to the group as I turned to them. "Let us end this." I said as they all nod in agreement.

We all charged at Shao Kahn and unleashed our full fury.

(A/N:
Toga's X-Ray: She'll start the X-Ray by swiping her knives as she'll stab the knife in the opponent's skull, breaking it. She'll then plunge two syringes into the opponent's eyes, bursting several blood vessels into a sorta fire host like gush.

Stain's X-Ray: He'll start the X-Ray with a stab in the gut by his katana. He leaves it in while he takes out his smaller katana and stabs through the opponent's throat. He then takes out the katana from his opponent's gut and stabs it through the chest, breaking through the rib cage.

Lady Nagant's X-Ray: She'll start the X-Ray with an overhead rifle barrel smack. She'll then fires a couple rounds into one of the opponent's leg, breaking their femur, knee & calf, forcing them onto one knee. She'll then point her gun directly in front of the opponent's face and fires a point blank hollow bullet shot, breaking the front half of their skulls.

Nana's X-Ray: She starts the X-Ray with an American Kenpo Double Punch. Afterwards, she'll perform a backflip kick, breaking the opponent's jaw and sending them into the air. She'll then jumped after the opponent and flip slam them back onto the ground, breaking the top part of their skulls. Finally, she elbow drops on the back of their skull, breaking it as well.

Dabi's X-Ray: He'll start the X-Ray with a cheeky burning of their feet. He then trips them up and gives them a kick to their side, breaking the left (or right) part of their ribs. He then stomps on their face, breaking the front part of their skulls.)

After our assault, Shao Kahn miraculously survives the assault as he gets back up, though he's using his Wrath Hammer as a sort of cane. He was panting heavily as he raised his Wrath Hammer and was about to charge.

But he fired blasts of golden electricity at him, stopping him dead in his tracks. The dragon spirits that represents the Elder Gods & Kronika started attacking Shao Kahn, biting into his flesh. He screams out in pain as his skin starts getting incinerated by the Elder Gods & Kronika's power.

Suddenly, he was blasted into the sky and was blown up in a bright golden light. All that remains of the Emperor are his Wrath Hammer & his damaged helmet.

But then, something strange was happening. All of the parts of Outworld that has merged into Earthrealm started fading away. I heard Kabal coughing as we all turned to him to see some of his burns healing & him taking off his mask. We were all amazed at what was happening before us.

Suddenly, the Elder Gods and Kronika appeared us. "Warriors, we are grateful for your courage and determination against Shao Kahn & his forces. We also wish to apologize for not intervening sooner, but our rules prevent us from meddling amongst mortals. But now, we have decided to revoke that rule anytime the Realms are faced with a serious threat. Don't take this for granted." The Elder Gods explained as they returned to their realm, except for Kronika & Cetrion.

"Oscar, we would like for you and certain individuals to join us at Kronika's Keep." Cetrion says with a slight blush on her face. "Indeed, this discussion is important." Kronika adds with an equally small blush on her face.

I was a bit confusion at this, but I nod my head at this. Kronika then teleports us to her Keep.

(POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON)

After Kronika teleports herself, Oscar, Cetrion, Lady Nagant, Nana, Toga & Frost away, Raiden turns to the rest of the Earthrealm Warriors. "It is done. Come now, we must help our realm rebuild itself. Our work has only begun." He says as he teleports the rest of them away.

(SCENE CHANGE: KRONIKA'S KEEP) (POV CHANGE: OSCAR)

Kronika teleports us to her Keep as I looked around to see Frost, Mileena, Li Mei, Skarlet, Tanya, Nitara, Kira, Lady Nagant, Toga & Nana have also been teleported here.

"So, can someone explain what's going on?" I asked as the girls started acting weird, they were looking either down or anywhere that's not towards me with slight blushes on their faces while either fiddling with their hair or tapping their fingers.

"Let's say there are some girls who have fallen in love with you for your courage, determination and kindness. What do you say?" Tanya questions. "Well, if their feelings are real & they love me for me and not for my powers or status & would never betray me, then I would accept those feelings." I explains as the girls blushed brighter at this.

"And what do you say if these girls are from different races & Realms?" Nitara asks. "Doesn't matter to me. I don't care if they're from African, American, Australian, I don't even care if they're a Centaur or a Tarkatan. So long if they're kind & loyal." I explained.

The girls looked at each other and nod their heads as they approached me. "Oscar Luonto, we've started falling for you and we want to form a harem with you." Cetrion says as the girls nod in agreement at what she said.

My jaw dropped to the floor as I shake myself out of this shock. I was flabbergasted at so many beautiful girls confessing their love for me. I looked into their eyes and I could tell they were telling the truth. "Girls, I now know you speak true, so I accept your feelings." I said.

Suddenly, a young voice caught our attention. "Ms. Cetrion, are you and these ladies my new mommies? And he's my daddy?" Asked a cute little voice as most of us turned to the voice in shock. We were shocked to see an adorable little girl approaching us.

"Cetrion, Kronika, you guys need to explain." I said as the rest of the girls nod in agreement. "I rescue this young one from suffering an eternity of pain & misery by the hands of a insane man and his gang. I.....kinda told her she'll be getting some mothers & a father in the future since her own were killed." Cetrion explains as we were all shocked at this.

"How did they die?" Frost asked. "Her father would've died by her own hands, had he not pulled away at the last second. He only suffered losing a arm. Her mother had a terminal illness & the payment was too expensive, so he had to go to the Yakuza for help. He tried to get the money for help, but they had the gull to try & trade him the money for his Daughter. He refused & might've said a few things that he shouldn't have said. They gunned him down as they then went on to capture their Daughter for their own purposes. I was near the area when me, Mother & Geras came to his world to recruit him to help us. I saved the Daughter and killed a few members to make a point. Unfortunately, I couldn't save the Mother from the leader named Overhaul from pulling her plug. So we decided to keep her under our wings until we could find a family for her. But it looks like she already for her family." Cetrion explains as she uses her tendrils to pull the girl towards her and envelope her into a hug, which the girl returns with a happy smile on her face.

My heart warmed at this as I approached the girl. "Nice to meet you, little girl. I'm Oscar Luonto, your new Father. What's your name, cutie pie?" I asked. "My name's Eri, Papa. Eri Luonto now, I'm guessing." Eri says as I find it adorable that Eri's taking on my last name. "Well, why don't you give your new Papa a hug?" I asked as I bent down to her level and opened my arms out.

Cetrion set Eri down as she ran up to me and hugged me, which I returned back. I don't why, but I'm starting feel this strange feeling of protection filling up inside of me. Can't tell why, but I think I like this feeling.

(SCENE CHANGE: ROOFTOP) (POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON)

Back on the Rooftop, once everyone left, another portal opened up and a hand picked up Shao Kahn's helmet. The hand reveals to be Quan Chi's as he inspect the helmet. Suddenly, someone appears beside him in purple energy.

"Your plan worked to perfection, Lord Shinnok." Quan Chi says with a smirk on his face. "Shao Kahn was blinded by rage. How easily he was convinced that the Elder Gods would ignore his merging of the Realms." Shinnok says.

"But the Thunder God & his allies still live. And the Elder Gods revoking their rule about interfering with mortal affairs. This could pose a complication to our plans." Quan Chi says as Shinnok chuckles evilly at this. "It makes no difference. Neither Earthrealm nor Outworld can withstand the might of the Netherrealm. Not even my foolish sister & the rest of the accursed Elder Gods can stop us. It'll be time. Soon, I will be free & all Realms will tremble under our might. All Realms will be ours!" Shinnok proclaims as Quan Chi smiles wickedly.

(Here's chapter 12 done. Now that Shao Kahn is dead, Shinnok plans to fill in the void by attacking Earthrealm as their defenses are weakened. That'll be after the next chapter because it's time for us to return to Oscar's world and see how things are going on.)
