____ The Past ____
Morro was happily sitting on the veranda. The hot sun shines on Morro's face, it was a welcome warmth that soaks into his bones and chases away the lingering cold. He wrapped (Y/N)'s jacket tighter around himself. It made him feel safe and loved.
He was happy that (Y/N) was home and recovering. Things were returning to normal. Well almost normal. He didn't like the two obnoxious Masters that had come for a visit. But he could tolerate that.
Speaking of the two Masters of Time. Both were gathered with Wu in the kitchen. Morro could hear them puttering around in there through the open window.
"So, you think we should send her back to her own time?" Wu asks the two Masters of Time as he sits across the twins, cup of tea in hand.
Morro froze his heart racing rapidly in his chest. "He couldn't have heard that right?"
"It makes sense to return (Y/N) to her own time." Krux said plainly. "Brother." Acronix scolded his twin. "She should stay."
Tears started to fall down Morro's face. "No. No. No!" Morro's own mind screamed at him.
"Acronix, it's not up to us." Wu explained to the younger twin. "Mistaké wants us to send her back."
Morro felt as if his heart was breaking in his chest. "No, they can't send (Y/N) away."
"That's a load of bricks. And you know it, Wu." Acronix declared sulkingly. "We're the Masters of Time, not her. What right does she have to order us around." Krux angrily declared.
"I agree. I do not wish to be ordered around by another." Krux agreed and folded his arms across his chest. "She can't make us do this." Acronix angrily proclaimed this time.
"She was a good friend as well as a wise and trusted advisor to my father." Wu said glancing down at his reflection in the tea.
"You can't be seriously thinking of obeying her." Acronix shouted at Wu. "Wu." Krux said firmly. "As much as I agree to send her back I will not do so forcefully." Krux strongly informed Wu.
"She has committed no crimes. This Ronin on the other hand I will happily send back. But (Y/N) should have the right to choose." Krux said adamantly.
"But Mistaké-" Wu began to say. Morro couldn't stand listening anymore and screamed at the top of his lungs, running away from the temple.
Morro screams echoed throughout the temple grabbing everyone's attention. Even waking (Y/N) from her slumber.

____ The Past ____
"Morro?!" (Y/N) called out for the boy. "Morro?!" (Y/N) called out again. "Where could you have run off to this time?" (Y/N) said out loud.
She suddenly hears something, a small crunch of leaves from under a bush and (Y/N) moves forward, rounding the bush to see Morro huddled under the bush quietly sobbing.
A small whimper cuts through the silence sobbing, followed by a whispered. "(Y/N)."
"Hey, Morro. You ok?" (Y/N) asked. Morro nods sadly, bringing his knees up to his chest and wrapping his arms around them but otherwise didn't move.
"Come here." (Y/N) says softly shifting forward, arms open and expectant.
Morro moves to his feet awkwardly, stumbling slightly before (Y/N) moves forward quickly and wraps him in a hug, pulling him to her chest as she stands up.
"You good?" (Y/N) asks as she pushes some of Morro's hair away from his eyes with her hand.
"I-I." Morro sobs softly, letting himself be manhandled and putting his arms around (Y/N)'s neck.
Morro stays clinging to (Y/N) desperately, wrapping his legs around her waist and clinging tightly.
"What happened? Are you hurt?" (Y/N) questioned the sobbing child. Morro continued to sob hysterically into (Y/N)'s shoulder. It breaks (Y/N)'s heart as Morro continues to sob. "They-they want to send you-you back!" Morro finally wails out.
"I don't want you to go-o." Morro wails again. (Y/N)'s chest rises and falls in a long sigh. "I want you to stay." Morro whines against her chest. "You can't leave me!" Morro scream-cried into (Y/N)'s shoulder.
(Y/N) sat down and pulled Morro up onto her lap. Softly humming to him to help him calm down. "I don't want you to go." Morro softly whimpered. "And I don't want to go anywhere without you." (Y/N) honestly responded. "Really?" Morro asked whipping away some of his tears. "Of course." (Y/N) said and began to sing for the distressed child.

Lyrics:
"Drifting beneath the horizon,
My body is weak but I'm trying,
To make it to shore but I'm falling short,
I need you more,
Wave after wave, I've been sinking,
So unto our promise, I'm clinging,
You say that I'm strong with you I belong,
I keep holding on."
"You are my anchor,
So steady me, steady me now,
You are my anchor,
You're keeping my feet on the ground,
In angry oceans, you've never broken through,
Every wave of the storm,
You are my anchor,
So steady me, steady me now,
Come steady me, steady me now."
"When I get tired of fighting,
All of the fears I've been hiding,
You gave me a breath and tell me to rest,
You never left,
I can, I can, I can hear you, calling me by name,
Pulling me up from under my pain,
Never be the same,
I can face anything, so let it rain."
"You are my anchor,
So steady me, steady me now,
You are my anchor,
You're keeping my feet on the ground,
In angry oceans you've never broken through,
Every wave of the storm,
You are my anchor,
So steady me, steady me now,
Come steady me, steady me now."
"Don't let go,
I don't want to do this alone,
Don't let go,
I know that I'll drown on my own."
"You are my anchor,
So steady me, steady me now,
(I don't want to do this alone)
Anchor,
You're keeping my feet on the ground,
(I know that I'll drown on my own)
In angry oceans you've never broken through,
Every wave of the storm,
You are my anchor,
So steady me, steady me now,
Come steady me, steady me now."
"Come on, I'm taking you back to the monastery." (Y/N) says as she stands up, Morro in her arms. Morro doesn't respond, keeping quiet. Morro glances up at him before burying his face into (Y/N)'s chest again shyly.

____ The Past ____
(Y/N) walks into the Monastery of Spinjitzu with Morro still curled tightly around her side.
(Y/N) walks down the corridors toward the voices of Wu and the time twins, Morro burying his head into (Y/N)'s chest in fear as they get closer to the voices.
(Y/N) looks down at him and gave him a reassuring smile as she walked through the doorway. In shock the trio goes quiet, all eyes on the child wrapped around (Y/N)'s waist.
Krux approaches (Y/N) with a smile. "He ok?" Krux asked.
(Y/N) nods, Krux eyes Morro who's busy glaring at him. Morro deliberately swings his leg out kicking Krux in the crotch. Krux clutches his crotch, a scowl on his features.
"Krux!" Acronix called out running to his brother's side. (Y/N) sent Krux an apologetic look. Krux casts a look up to where Morro is glaring down at him.
"No more kicking in between his legs, ok?" (Y/N) says with a warning tone. Morro remains calm; still wrapped around (Y/N)'s waist.
"Can we have a word, (Y/N)?" Wu requests. "Alone." (Y/N) looks down at Morro who still looks on edge and fearful. "Hey, I'm going to be just over there." (Y/N) promised Morro.
"No." Morro says, tightening his grip. (Y/N) tries to yank herself out of his grasp without hurting him. "Morro, I won't be out of your sight, I promise." (Y/N) pleaded with him.
"No!" Morro declared firmly refusing to let go of (Y/N). (Y/N) sighs and smooths down Morro's hair. "I'll handle this." (Y/N) calmly states.
"I know about it." She remarks casually to Wu and the time twins.
Wu looks up, eyes wide in shock. "Oh. How did you find out?" Wu asks in bewilderment. "I want you to stay here with me." Morro whines at (Y/N).
There was an uncomfortable silence that they all understood.
"You're staying!" Morro weeps against (Y/N) chest, his eyes dark and angry like a petulant child not being given a toy.
"Wherever I end up, I'll make sure to make contact with you to see how you're doing." (Y/N) suggests trying to calm him.
"No. I want you to stay here." Morro loudly says again, a small pout forming on his lips.
"If she wishes it, she should be sent back, or if not we should let her stay." Wu says, to his distressed student.
Morro stares up at Wu with dark eyes wide and innocent before reluctantly letting (Y/N) go.
(Y/N) looks back at the chair where Morro is sitting, watching the interactions with interested eyes. "He'll be ok." Wu conveys to her. (Y/N) nods with confidence, looking over her shoulder at Morro who immediately lights up at his gaze.
"(Y/N)." Acronix says, approaching them. "Hey." (Y/N) responds with a small smile. "Your brother, ok?" (Y/N) asked, smiling at him.
Acronix quirks his lips before casting a final nervous look over his shoulder at Morro, who isn't even trying to hide his annoyance that (Y/N)'s attention is not on him as he sits there, arms folded over his chest and an annoyed pout on his small lips.
Krux was barely hiding his worried expression as he watched the way Morro reacts to anyone (Y/N) talks to at the moment. Krux quickly returns to the conversation. "He clearly has not learnt how to properly deal with his emotions which can be troublesome amongst children." Krux mentioned still covering the sore place in between his legs.
(Y/N) dismisses him with a wave of her hand. "He'll be ok. Just don't use your growly voice on him or he might kick you again." (Y/N) warns him as Morro stares up at Krux with badly hidden annoyance.
Krux huffs in irritation but otherwise said nothing.
"Now, I'll ask you, personally. As it should be." Acronix states with a smug smile. "Would you prefer to live in this time or to return to the time you are from? I know it's a big choice, but it's completely up to you."
"I am staying with you." Morro loudly whines at the group. "Morro." Wu scolds his student. "This is her choice, not yours. You mustn't unfairly influence her in any way."
"But it's not fair!" Morro cried out. "It is also unfair to force her to stay if she wishes to go." Wu pointed out to his pupil.
(Y/N) lets out a long sigh. "I want to stay here." She says confidently and Morro's eyes shining as he looks up at (Y/N).
"You're staying." Morro shouts happily and runs to her to give her a big hug. "Ok, ok." (Y/N) says, patting Morro's head gently. "I'm staying, don't worry."
"You will not regret staying?" Wu asked nervously. "Never." (Y/N) announces smacking Wu on the back. "I'll take him to his quarters so he can have a nap in quiet, that ok?" (Y/N) offered.
Wu nods, looking almost amused. (Y/N) smiles and returns her attention to Morro.
"Hey, Morro." (Y/N) says as the boy looks up at her, his eyes shining with relief now that she had affirmed that she wasn't leaving. "You tired?"
"Yes." Morro answers simply as he holds his arms up expectantly.
(Y/N) wraps her arms around the small body and heaves him into her arms. Morro wraps around her, yawning against (Y/N)'s neck before nuzzling into it with a small hum.
(Y/N) opens the door to and walks inside, gently laying Morro down on his bed, pulls the dirty tunic over his head and throws it into the corner. Before returning with a clean one for him to sleep in. Morro gets under the covers, looking calm and content as he pushes his nose into the pillow and inhales.
"Don't leave." Morro says quietly, eyes upset and emotional as he sits up. "I'll be back in a little while I just need to speak with our guest about talking where little ears can hear." (Y/N) comments tucking Morro in.
"Get some sleep." (Y/N) says, trying to make her voice authoritative before heading for the door and leaving the room.
Morro reluctantly nods, clearly too tired to put up much of a protest. (Y/N) gives him an adoring smile before leaving.
Acronix was waiting just down the hall to speak to her. "Hey." Acronix says waving her over.
(Y/N) joins the younger of the time twins and Acronix slides the paper door closed after she entered.
(Y/N) wasn't surprised to see Krux was also waiting. What she was surprised about was that they had tea already waiting for the conversation.
"What's this?" (Y/N) questions the pair. "Sorry, we wanted to talk to you on your own." Acronix said. "We wanted to tell you what is going on. And what you're up against." Krux explained to (Y/N).
(Y/N) took a set across the twins. "Mistaké wishes for us to send you back to your own time." Acronix clarified. "Mistaké?" (Y/N) asked with an innocent yet quizzical expression on her face.
"The elderly woman, who owns the local tea shop. She was acquainted with the First Spinjitzu Master, and occasionally provided him and others with various types of tea with special powers." Krux explained to her.
"Hm." (Y/N) thinks to herself. "Various types of tea with special powers. So that's where Wu got his damn teas from. But I don't think that is the reason these accursed elemental powers act up around that woman. So what am I missing?"
The time twins are closely monitoring her for her reactions. (Y/N) skillfully put on an act.
"Various types of tea with special powers." (Y/N) says out loud. "It sounds awfully like a potion." (Y/N) chuckled to herself.
"A potion?" Krux questioned.
"A potion is a magical infused tincture type of liquified medicine or drug usually used for various motives including the healing, bewitching or poisoning of people via magical properties." (Y/N) quoted from her teachings.
"You have a lot of knowledge." Krux chortled. "Knowledge, yes. Memories not so much." (Y/N) agreed with what Krux had said.
"Are you happy here?" Krux asked. "I wish to stay in this time." (Y/N) responded. "That isn't what I meant." Krux says taking a sip of his tea. "Are you happy here, In this monastery?" Krux reiterates.
"I do not understand." (Y/N) responses, slightly confused by Krux's question.
"What my brother is asking is if you're happy here. With Wu. Is he forcing you to stay?" Acronix explained with deep concern.
"Forcing me to stay?" (Y/N) thought to herself. "What could Wu use to force me to stay? His teas? No, he would already know that I am on guard with those considering that is how I wound up in this mess. Plus the lady who sells him those teas wants me gone. His brother, perhaps? No, Lord Garmadon is at odds with his brother; he wouldn't help Wu keep me here. So what could he use..."
"Morro is here." (Y/N) answers her own questioning out loud. "I gave my word to protect him." (Y/N) explains to the time twins. "Hm, so you have a strong moral character." Krux points out.
"I have no doubt that you two have promised each other the same thing. Would either of you abandon the other?" (Y/N) asked in response.
"Never!" Both Masters of Time declared together.
"(Y/N), you must understand with the First Spinjitzu Master no longer amongst us, Wu is lost without his guidance. He seeks out Mistaké's advice in his father's absence when he has trouble deciding things. And add in the fact Mistaké wants you gone." Acronix pleaded with her to understand what he was trying to warn her of.
"I understand." (Y/N) responded. Acronix let out a sigh of relief. "Miss (Y/N) do understand we will not force you back, but we can not stop others from trying other ways to do such a thing." Krux points out.
"I know that you must do your best to heal and regain your strength before making any rash decisions but do keep in mind you do not have to stay in this place with a potential enemy at your back." Krux advises.
"You could come with us." Acronix announced knocking over his own tea. "Acronix!" Krux scolded his little brother for being so reckless.
Before (Y/N) has a chance to respond the door slides open revealing Morro in his pyjamas, blinking at the bright lights of the room before focusing on (Y/N) and Acronix. Morro holds out his hand expectantly toward (Y/N), shooting Acronix and Krux a look bordering on territorial.
"Couldn't sleep?" (Y/N) asks the grumpy child. "No." Morro says, holding out his hand further, waiting for (Y/N) to take it.
"We can talk about this at another time. But for now, duty calls." (Y/N) quickly tells the twins.
(Y/N) then turns and takes Morro's hand, taking him back to his quarters, Acronix's gaze following them with concern before the door is slid shut. Both twins shared a thought. "That child is going to be trouble."
"Can you sleep here tonight?" Morro asks innocently once they are back in his room. "Sure. If that will help you calm your fears." (Y/N) says and Morro happily climbs under the covers.
She lays back in Morro's bed and Morro cuddles up next to her, his tiny hands grabbing onto her shirt. A few moments later (Y/N) feels the hands loosen and Morro's breathing become even.
"Sleep well." (Y/N) says, moving Morro's head off her chest and down onto the pillow gently.

____ The Past ____
When (Y/N) wakes up the next morning, jerking slightly as she opens her eyes. She looks down and only half surprised to find Morro curled up against her, his head under her chin and his small hands dangling tightly around her neck. (Y/N) lets her hand come up to rub up and down Morro's back as his eyes flutter open and looks up at (Y/N).
"Sleep well?" (Y/N) asks as Morro shifts, trying to get even closer to (Y/N)'s body. He nods, his eyes shutting again as he nuzzles his nose against (Y/N)'s neck.
"I have to get up." (Y/N) says as sternly as she can. Morro clings to her, making no effort to move. (Y/N) attempts to pry Morro's hands off her but it does no good as Morro holds her even more tightly.
"You don't wanna let go? You alright?" (Y/N) asks, concern slicing through her voice as she sits up pulling Morro into her arms.
"I am well now that I am not alone anymore." Morro replies quietly, burying his face into (Y/N)'s chest and wrapping his small arms possessively around her body.
"And you never will be, again." (Y/N) promises him. Her birthmark glowing green temporarily before fading back to its normal colour.
