Ok. So I understand that people want that bad bitch character. But bestie, you just saw what happens when you write a character with no personality.

Being mean isn't the only thing you guys should use for your character.

Now let's take the last example and make it better, shall we?

Hi. I am badbabybitchpeppacherylblossomshopkin. I have official been credited as the "mean bitch" in hogwarts.

Reason? I made the Hermione Granger trip.

On my feet.

It wasn't on my agenda to humiliate the perfect witch. It really wasn't. But it just...happened?

I remember professor Flitwick picking my partner... naming Granger in the process. I didn't really have a problem; honestly. But then, the real issue began when she started intervening in my part of the assignment.

She had gone mental really, her instruments and wand sprawled all over the place. For a moment I wondered if she had a lot of fire whiskey last night, since she seemed to be choking at the speed of her words.

And that's where I lost it. As she walked back, my leg; seemingly numb, crashed on her ankle; making her trip in the process. It had happened so fast, the whole scene was a blur to me.

"badbabybitchpeppacherylblossomshopkin!" She cried out loud enough for the whole class to witness.

"Why would you do that!!??" She spoke, tears streaming from her eyes. She seemed to be so dejected, that she ran out of the room, Harry and Ron right behind her heels.

To me, the doltishness hadn't been any less embarrassing. So I drew my wand out and burst myself mid class, ready to rot in hell.

Not too descriptive, not plain af, just perfect!

Here I added the character's thoughts along with everything Hermione, the side character here did. I added small descriptions and didn't overwrite anything. Writing small flicks of emotions can be helpful too. Small bits of reasoning helped too.
