1. Lunar Eclipse: How long did it take you to come up with this story and to make it so complex and awesome??

As for how long it took... a couple months, actually. First I planned it out, which took me a couple days but that was because I only had the main points down, all the other finer details had yet to be thought of. Anyways, I scrapped the story a couple times because I didn't like the first draft. It was poorly written and Esmerelda, who was named Cassiopeia or "Cassie", was such an underdeveloped bitch 🤮 🤮 🤮

Book one took me soooo long to plan because I kept redoing everything, but I was finally satisfied with it and stuck to it!

2. Daughter of Pluto and Slytherclaw Hunter: where did u come up w the idea of essie

As you've read from above, my previous draft for Essie was... horrible. Like, really horrible. She was one of those poorly written "strong" female characters with zero development whatsoever. When I reread the first chapters of my book, I was so appalled that I scrapped the idea and made my character the exact opposite of all those annoying "strong female characters". Essie is super feminine, super sweet, super crazy, super stupid (I'm sorry but it's true), and 10000% adorable 😌

I just... REALLY wanted to read about a book where the MC is girly and kind, because lately the books/fanfics I've read always bash those traits.... ☹️☹️☹️ If she's kind, she's 'not like other girls', and if she's girly than she's always given a 'mean girl' personality like... why can't they be kind AND girly???

3. Eridanus Vulpecula: From where did you get the character inspiration for Essie?

My first name is Katrina!

As for my first language... It was either Tagalog or Bisaya (I'm filipino, btw). Unfortunately, I can't speak those languages anymore ☹️ I was born in the Philippines and my family moved us to the USA when I was around five. I've always been able to speak English because it's a common language in the Philippines, but I had this accent and I remembered that a lot of kids in my Kindergarten class kept making fun of me for it.

My teacher always told me to keep speaking Tagalog and Bisaya in my house because it's best for me to be multilingual, but I was so sick of my classmates making fun of the way I spoke that I literally spoke nothing but English regardless of where I was. I managed to get rid of my accent, but now I can no longer speak Tagalog and Bisaya, I can only understand it when it's spoken to me. I can't reply back and I struggle reading it too. Even worse is that I can't even tell between the language so even if I understand what's being said, I'm always wondering 'were they speaking to me in Tagalog or Bisaya???'

5. grace elizabeth: how early on did you you decide you make this an Ethan x OC story? Do you have a pinterest board for this story? Which characters did you look up to as a kid?

1. Most of the time, the idea honestly just... pops into my head and I hurry to add it into my timeline/notes before I forget the idea. Other times, I literally just look up aesthetic pictures or artworks online. It's weird, but as I look at the pictures I just... envision a scenario in my head with Essie and, well, that's how I get the idea.

2. The Golden Trio will be some of the wizards who find out! As for the rest of Hogwarts, no, I don't think I would do that... AND YES! They will meet some PJO characters!!!

I literally just look up 'meme templates' or 'cursed images meme' online to find random ones. I search around until I find one that just fits a certain scene in the chapter and sometimes, if I have to, I use iPiccy to put in all the words or black out some from the original pictures!

However, sometimes I already have the perfect meme in mind so when I search for it I have to be pretty a little more specific. Like all those memes I made about Ethan being horny? I literally just look up 'horny memes' 😂 😂 😂 same thing with reaction memes, I just search up 'shocked meme reaction' or 'screaming meme reaction' etc.

9. Indigo Lilac: Why did you create Essie? Did someone inspire you or did you put yourself into Essie? If it's the latter, on a scale of 1-10, how much of yourself is reflected in Essie? Also, what's your favorite colour?

Similar question from before, but I'll answer it again! I created Essie because I hated the fake "strong female character" shit that authors keep doing. So I made the exact opposite of them!

As for how much of myself did I put into Essie... I'd have to say it'd be pretty little. We DO however, have the same style. I love wearing skirts and dresses, so I made her love skirts and dresses. Also, if I had magic, I would TOTALLY take advantage of all the beauty spells, and the heating/cooling charms. Fr, I literally wear dresses and skirts during winter season (with tights). And omggggg, if I had a hair styling spell??!!! I WOULD USE IT EVERYDAY SO MY HAIR WOULD LOOK PERFECT! And the cushioning charms??? I'd use it on my heels so I could wear them everyday👌 👌 👌 So I wrote about Essie taking advantage of all of those useful spells because I would do that too!

1. My love for dark romance, I guess 😀 You know how I made two separate routes for Jason and Ethan like a goddamn otome??? And you know how I love making my characters suffer??? I picked the route that had the most pain for my couple! Plus, Ethan and Essie are so fucked up together, they're perfect for dark romance.

Also... as I looked back on the Jason route... it just seemed so terrible to me... In that plan, Essie gets together with Jason sometime after TLH and it's unrealistic. She loved Ethan and lost all of her siblings, there's no way she would realistically move on to Jason so quickly. If I were to make their relationship more real, Essie would honestly probably date Jason YEARS later. Not months like I did in the Jason route...

2. Hahahahhaaha!! So it's Lou Ellen (duh) < Essie < Alabaster < Étienne. Though... there's a good chance Alabaster and Essie might switch places later on in the books! Maybe 😃

3. Idk about a oneshot, but I can tell you about it now. So in this AU, Essie would have to not be in love with Ethan. As for setting... it'll be after the war.

Ethan... would NOT be happy. And he probably wouldn't stay in CHB anymore if Essie wasn't there. He has no siblings there, Alabaster's gone, and Essie doesn't stay there anymore so what's the point, you know? Anyways, he definitely wouldn't hate her for the decision, but the angers still there, only it's directed to Artemis and the Hunters instead for putting the idea in her head. Would he kidnap her again? Perhaps 🙂

But he'd mostly just go to Essie and persuade her that it was a bad decision, guilt and manipulate her by saying shit like:

"Essie, romance isn't allowed in the Hunters, you know. Wouldn't you want to get to get married and have kids one day w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶m̶e̶? You'd never be allowed to do that, they'd hunt you down if you broke your oath"

Jessie could happen... after quite a number of years, though. Essie lost all her siblings save for Lou Ellen and the literal love of her life during that war, there is no way she could ever recover from all that trauma so easily. So if I were to realistically write Jessie, then they would get together after many many years, maybe even a decade.

As for my word count... Idk, I think I just got used to it??

Book 1: 3,000+ words

Book 2: 3,0000+ words

Book 3: 4,000+

Book 4: 5,000+

And now book five, my chapters are all 6,000+

My word count just steadily increased throughout the series. I guess my mindset was like "three thousand words looks too short... lemme increase it" and then for book four I was like "four thousand's too short... I gotta make it longer" and so forth. So yeah, I basically got used to it.

So this year, my classes are oral communications, ancient philosophy, biology, and psychology. I do all my ancient philosophy and psychology homework on Mondays and I study for those classes on that day too, my oral communication homework on Tuesdays, and my biology stuff on Wednesdays. Any leftover assignments I do on Thursday (but I rarely ever have leftover assignments since I do my best to strictly follow my schedule).

This gives me Thursday (possibly), Friday, and the weekends off where I can relax and/or write.

My daily schedule sounds crazy and shit and it probably is, lol. I don't even eat full meals until I finished absolutely everything, but I do have some snacking breaks at least! I just like to stick to a strict, systematic schedule rather doing things without a plan.

I explain it more throughout the books, but you'll see later on that Essie and Ethan especially are not fond of Camp Jupiter (and New Rome by extension). The Romans quite literally breed child soldiers, they don't even bother to hide it. It's so painfully obvious. The families in New Rome send their kids to the Wolf House where they may or may not survive, and then from then on they're raised by the Legion. Meanwhile the actual adults? They're safe and sound in New Rome while their kids are literally dying and cannot visit them.

So yeah, Camp Jupiter's literally just a breeding ground for child soldiers and Ethan and Essie just don't like the idea of raising their future kids in such a society (even if they were to send their kids to CHB). It's just not the sort of environment they like. They want to be able to raise their kids as normally as they can, not... spend a few years with them and then send them away (remember, the kid can't go to New Rome until they're done with their ten years. Idk how CHB fits into this, but Camp Jupiter seems strict, I don't feel like they'd let CHB kids visit their parents in New Rome while Roman demigods/legacies gotta wait).

3. Yeah Maria's soul basically had to wait several decades until she was reincarnated into Essie. Essie does not have any other prior reincarnations other than Maria. Plus, can you imagine how crazy that would be??? Poor Essie might end up with more than just Nico for a son from a past life. Like, she'd enjoy it, but it'd be so stressful and can you imagine ETHAN'S reaction???!!! 😂 😂 😂

2. You know the Percy Jackson Fandom Wiki website, thing? Is it like completely accurate information in every aspect? Because so far, I haven't found any mistakes, but the 'Wiki' part really ticks me off, since on the actual Wikipedia anyone can just go and change it and add false information.

3. Is there any hope for Piper McLean? I know that she's a terribly written character, but couldn't she be theoretically written a tad bit different, so that she's a better character, than what she is now? I honestly feel like she had a lot of potential and that if you just take away a few things like her kaleidoscope eyes, feminine hating characteristics, or her hypocritical ways. Or if you just added stuff like, when she like trained with her daggers or her charm speak. (Cause I really don't think it's possible that she can charm speak a PRIMORDIAL to sleep, when she is LITERALLY just a demigod, like if she can do that, why didn't Aphrodite just do that-)

4. Are you going to add fatal flaws in the HoO series? Rick not adding fatal flaws to this story is one of the many things I disliked in the HoO series (don't worry, there are still a couple of good things). Like he did such a good job in the original Percy Jackson Series with the fatal flaws, but really he just threw all that away in the HoO series.

1. Essie's based more on characters from books and even ideas than an actual person. I made her the exact opposite of those fake "strong female character" tropes because they're always written so poorly. And I also based her off those super sweet and friendly characters in books and fanfics that are almost always the friend of the "not like other girl" MCs. You know, those characters who are always perceived as weak because of their femininity and need the MC to help them and even "toughen them up"??? Yeah, I hate how those characters are written, so I based Essie off of those, but made her better lol

2. It feels pretty legit to me??? I never find any mistakes on there tbh...

3. A lot of authors are already changing Piper's character by erasing her internal misogyny and just making her be more decent in general. That's perfectly fine but I didn't want to do that here. If a character's shitty in canon but never gets called out or is even seen as GOOD (*cough* Snape *cough*), then I'm keeping them as their canon shitty selves except they'll actually be called out A LOT in my books (because I just HATE IT when bad traits aren't called out within the story, that's just terrible writing ugh).

Yes, Piper had some potential to be decent, but she also had A LOT MORE potential to be an actual terrible person—obsessive, judgmental, crazy, jealous, fucked up, etc. She canonically has those traits (it's not just a few bad traits either, that's literally all she is. If I took those away she would be completely OOC) so I feel like she had more potential to be written as an actual bad person. She just needed to be called out, which she never was in the canon stories.

As for her abilities/powers, I'm writing it more realistically, but you'll read more about it later!

4. FATAL FLAWS ARE GONNA BE HELLA IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY IN THIS BOOK! 😈 😈 😈 If you've noticed, I've even used the words 'fatal flaws' a couple times already in the previous chapters SO PLEASE TAKE NOT OF THAT!

42. the black widow: Is there any hope for wolfstar? Also is essie powerful enough to pull of a wanda from WandaVision?

Sirius is gonna have a shit ton of issues later on in here, so I won't have any time to add in any romance for his storyline sorry :(

Wanda's a helluva lot more powerful than Essie, but Essie can use her Mist powers to pretty much mind control and alter a new "reality" on a poor unfortunate town like Wanda did. The Mist can do very similar things to what Wanda did anyways.

(Btw, we just need another magic user who has a blue theme and they, Wanda, and Essie could be the new Powerpuff Girls lol)

5. Does Essie know that Jason is Roman? I know that she knows that Romans exist already, but does Essie know that Jason is Roman? Because she knows that Ettiene is Roman, but I haven't seen any hint in the book that Essie knows that Jason is Roman (unless I am missing something, which I probably am, but just want to make sure).

6. How are you going to make Essie's reaction about seeing Jason again . . . . with Amnesia this time? I know that you can't really 'tell' me, because then the next chapter would be spoiled, but is Essie going to like (try to) keep her cool, completely freak out, or just be happy to see her (kind of) friend again?

7. Are Essie and Ethan going to be part of the Argo II Crew? Since they're like the main characters of this book, I am going to assume that they are going to be part of the crew, but I just wanted to make sure. And be 100% sure. Besides I'm wondering if you're going to add a couple of Roman OCs to make it fair. Because six Greeks and 3 Romans is NOT fair author. (ANOTHER thing that Rick did not do too well on. Because we KNOW he favors the Greeks and made it so that there are four Greeks and only three Romans.

8. Will Essie ask if Frank is like an animagus or somthing? Because Frank can turn into several different kinds of animals, and I know that wizards can only turn into one, single animal but Frank can turn into several. And is Essie just going to assume that Frank got it from some old mythology relative or something?

9. Have you ever been to Britain before? Cause the book is half-based on a place that is Britain and I was wondering if you've just ever been there before? Unless you live there or something, then you obviously would have been there before. Just the curious side of me, since I've always wanted to go to Britain, but have unfortunately not been able to because of COVID.

Oh dang, I already ranted about Piper and Snape, hmm...

The first to come to mind is Annabeth, or people's treatment towards her (from PJO readers in general, not just my readers).

So I noticed that whenever Annabeth defends Luke, people tend to get annoyed by her or bash her for it, but like... it's not her fault? If you guys can sympathize with Essie's feelings towards her traitor siblings and Ethan, then you should understand that Annabeth's not that different with Luke. 

Annabeth ran away when she was seven, and met Luke, Thalia, and Grover. They were all she knew throughout her childhood. In her eyes, Luke is her family after she felt abandoned by her own. They went through A LOT together. It is NOT easy to cut ties with people, even after they've been hurt by them. 

"but Thalia didn't cling onto him as much!" Yes, but Thalia was older than Annabeth when she met Luke and understood things better. She didn't have Annabeth's childlike adoration for him. Plus, she was also turned into a tree, while Annabeth lived on and spent years at camp with Luke. Thalia did not share that same amount of time. 

Thalia even said it herself: to Annabeth, Luke was her hero. The girl's known him since she was seven, and he has always looked after and cared for her. Annabeth's looked up to him so much since she was seven. It's just not possible for her to just ditch Luke even after his betrayal and after all the horrible things he had done. 

So yeah, I just wish people understood that better because Annabeth gets a lot of flak for defending Luke's actions as if they expected her to ditch him the second he left camp. No guys, with the sort of history they shared, it's just not possible to happen so quickly. Be a little more sympathetic rather bashing her. If anything, hate Luke for HURTING her so many times while knowing how much he meant to her.

Greek mythology, only because I was first introduced to it by reading PJO. My fav deity would have to be Hestia because she seems like the most decent out of the gods. For Essie, I love her femininity, sweet/cheerful nature, and her growing instability 🙂 I don't really hate this, but I really wanted to make Essie filipino cuz that's what I am. Unfortunately, it wouldn't have made sense if she were filipino but had a very obviously white dad (I could've changed the FC, but Ben Barnes as Sirius and Timothee Chalamet as Regulus are just permanently ingrained in my head, lmao). She wouldn't have gotten the green eyes (cuz duh, we have brown eyes), but she would've still had her green glowy power shit! 

For Étienne, I love how crazy that bitch is, but I hate the appearance I gave him... Hecate has three set appearances, but there's already one kid with a noon form (Lou Ellen) and two with the night form (Alabaster and Essie), but NONE for the morning form!!! I should've given him the morning form!!! Ugh, I feel stupid. I was just searching through faceclaim directories for period male FCs and I found Louis Partridge. He seemed perfect for the role, but I completely forgot that I didn't have any Hecate kids with the morning form yet! 

And no redeeming arc for Piper. There's many fics already out there that make her completely different or redeem her, but I have yet to see one where she's actually called out for all her issues. So yes, you'll be hating her throughout the story.

Had that not happened, the war would've continued to be political without any actual combative fighting like the PJO war. 

The most I can think of is horcrux hunting but changing it to make it a lil more difficult, but... yeah, idk yet. I have scattered plans for book seven.

As for Essie... she wouldn't tell. Girl had to be told by LUKE about Ethan's feelings and even then Ethan had to kiss the realization into her. If she somehow found out about the other guy's crush she would be a little awkward, but still kind to him. If he asked her out, she would gently tell him no and explain she was in a relationship.

I haven't decided on what sort of ending to make, but you guys should still be cautious. 

I've warned before that Essie's no longer a reliable narrator, so what she considers 'happy', might be terrible for you. If you're a sharp reader, then you'll notice a lot of red flags that Essie won't. But if you don't pick up on them, then you might have been fooled like Essie has and would end up believing that she's 'happy' too.  

So yes, it really depends on you.

Idk how it would work out because in here Jason is very much aware of how unhealthy Essan is... Yes it could be cute, but realistically Jason wouldn't feel comfortable and would probably feel scared and sick to his stomach. He'd try to get Essie to open her eyes on how bad her situation actually is and would attempt to get themselves away from Ethan (which he definitely wouldn't be happy about). 

The only way poly would work is if Ethan wasn't a fucking yandere tbh, because there's no way Jason would willingly enter a poly relationship where one person kidnapped the other and locked them up in a dog cage.

AND OMG I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED ABOUT THE KIDS! Okay, so I haven't decided on whether I should let Essan live up to adulthood, but I made their kids anyways because I was having too much fun! Regardless of whether they live or die, I'm planning on making a mini series about their family called 'Keeping Up With The Nakamuras' 😂 😂 😂 (if they do end up dying, then just consider it as a 'what if'). 

So I initially planned months ago to give them seven kids (like the Weasleys), but then I recently got these brilliant ideas: 

-Essie would definitely foster and adopt a demigod kid since she was a foster kid too and knows how horrible it is

- REINCARNATED BIANCA!!!!

So here's the thing: Ethan would totally push for three kids just to spite Hades like "oh you only had two kids with her? WELL FUCK YOU, I HAVE THREE *ends up with four more*" 

AND HE WOULD ALSO BE ALL FOR ADOPTING REINCARNATED!BIANCA! Essan's already adopted Nico and Hazel years ago, but Ethan would want the full collection of Hades' kids to spite him even more. 

So now Ethan has Hades' old lover (essie), five more kids with her than Hades, AND Hades' own children. He's basically Mr. Steal Yo Girl AND Kids at this point 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

(also imagine Nico's face with every pregnancy announcement Essan makes  💀 💀 💀) 

So the Nakamura family would consist of seven biological kids... and two adoptive ones (plus Nico and Hazel, but they would be adults at this point). So many fucking kids... Essie would be so happy 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 She would be thriving 🥺

I hate everything about school, and I don't have any toxic friends (but that's mostly because I haven't interacted with them at all lmao). 

Will Essie gain any toxic friends?? Well, technically... she already has... sort of... 

Lemme explain: It's not a secret that Ethan kidnapped Essie and did all other kinds of awful things. Everyone in camp is pretty much aware of it, but have you noticed that nobody really stopped them from getting together? The Stolls barely tried, even Lou Ellen was chill and so was Basil. If your friend got together with her literal kidnapper, would you honestly be okay with it???

Now I'm not saying that all of Essie's friends are terrible people. They clearly care about her, but they just won't do anything about the relationship because hey, Essie looks happy. She's not in any distress at all! She loves Ethan, why break them up? Besides, they're just so used to so much destruction and abnormalities, a fucked up couple like Essan isn't too much of a big deal. In their heads they're thinking 'yeah, it's awful what ethan did, but they look happy now so we should just get over it'. 

These kids are tired, traumatized, and desensitized to all kinds of horrible things. So they're not really toxic friends, but they just don't exactly see a problem with Essan anymore despite the red flags. 

As for Jason and Ethan... you'll find out about their thoughts of the other soon 🙂

I DON'T RECOMMEND YOU READ IT! THEY'RE TERRIBLE. 

The MC is Zoe Redbird. She's Native American (sound familiar to you guys???), naturally pretty, not like other girls, and turns out to be a vampire. She goes to this vampire academy with other vamps. There's this one vamp called Aphrodite and you guessed it, she's the blonde mean bitch of the series. But Aphrodite actually gets character development and has saved Zoe and her friends MULTIPLE times, yet Zoe still goes around calling her a slut and I think the characters there even called her "Aphrodyke"??? (there's a lot of homophobia in those books, they make gay jokes and shit). 

Zoe... is so fucking annoying. She is a Mary Sue worse than Piper. She calls Aphrodite a slut and a whore but Aphrodite's only dated two guys separately while Zoe LITERALLY CHEATS ON HER BOYFRIEND WITH, LIKE, SIX OTHER GUYS. And one of those dudes is her teacher who abuses people!!!

There's a lot more awful things about her but... ugh... I can't... Especially when the books were written by three women I think...

No face reveal, sorry! As for bi Remus... I don't think he would be bisexual in canon because the canon books were made by JKR... the most LGBTQ representation she gave us when she said Dumbledore was gay but that was through a tweet after she finished the series. So yeah, I don't think any HP character is canonically gay/bi/pan/etc.

I think the reason she hated him was because he ditched her with Remus as a baby and went and got himself arrested?? She had a bunch of weak arguments for it but was soooo over-dramatic and... ugh... I hate her.

If the wizards found out about the gods it would either go in two ways:

- DENIAL! The purebloods especially would be in denial over it. Wizards have spent their entire lives thinking they were top dogs cuz they got magic, they would not take kindly to realizing that monsters, demigods, gods, Titans, and Primordials exist. Have you seen their egos and how they treat muggles? Yeah, they wouldn't like suddenly being in their place. 

- they would revere them out of fear or genuine worship. They would worship Hecate and her kids a lot more since she was the one who created them (and could easily take their magic away). They would be real nice to Essie and literally wait at her beck and call, but they would be SO fake about it as they always are. The Daily Prophet would also burn all their articles that slandered her and would switch to singing her praises. As for Ethan? They'd treat him just as respectfully, but more so out of fear because, well, it's Ethan.

I think it was a steady growth! The first book wasn't as popular, but I started getting more readers and comments around the end of the second book.

I tried... but it asked for certain things that I couldn't answer like the location of Essie's birth (which is the Underworld lol) and the year of birth (which idk since the setting of this series isn't either PJO canon or HP canon).

Annabeth... doesn't watch anime which is a damn shame. Percy is fond of shonen anime like Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, and Fairy Tail, etc. 

Meanwhile, Essie loves the cute animes like Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, and a bunch of other shoujo animes. Ethan also watches anime back before he betrayed the camp and when he saw innocent lil babey Essie watching some too he was like "Hey essie I have a cute anime we can watch together :)" and Essie being a dumbass she is didn't see the warning signs and was like "Okay! :D" and the anime turned out to be fucking Higurashi 😭

LOOOOOOOOOL, I only have about 20% of Son of Neptune planned, but their dynamic is pretty much Essie freaking out, Nico being disturbed and clingy, and Ethan wondering why his girlfriend's a fucking psycho magnet 😂

So because Sirius spent the most time with Essie thanks to being her caretaker, she terrorized him the most (though she slowly started to like him). Then would be James, since she spends a lot of time with Sirius, and Essie by extension. Next would be Remus, but he always stayed away from a distance. Lastly, would be Peter, but that's only because he 100% did his best to avoid her since he whole-heartedly believed Sirius' Antichrist theory 😂
