I smiled a little bit, glad these "Crystal Gems" weren't trying to kill me anymore. "Let me introduce you to everyone!" Steven said, even though I sort of already figured out their names.

"Hang on, Steven," Peridot interrupts. "First let's find out who she is! Who are you?! Are you a spy from Homeworld?!"

"Huh?" I asked, clueless. "Home-what? I'm Morgan. Morgan Grace. Except my last name isn't really Grace, but-"

"If you're not from Homeworld, then what were you doing watching me this morning in the bushes?!" Peridot screamed, her cheeks blushing dark green. 

"I wasn't trying to spy or anything!" I stood up, leaving Steven sitting on the ground. "I was just walking through the woods, and I heard her voice, and she sounded really upset, and then I had just never seen anyone that was....green....and I just couldn't look away!" I blushed, realizing how rude that sounded. "I-I-I'm sorry, Peridot."

"HOW DID YOU KNOW MY NAME?!" Peridot shrieks again.

Garnet, the British one, spoke up. "It's okay, Morgan Grace. You can go home now."

I blushed redder, remembering my argument with my fake parents. I could never go home now, even if I wanted to. "N-no. I can't."

"Why not, Morgan?" Steven asked.

"I-I don't have a home. That's why I was in the woods. Because I was looking for one." I don't know how it was possible, but I blushed redder than I ever had before.

Amethyst, the purple one, gasped. "Like the No-Home-Boys! For Real!"

"What?" I asked, confused again.

"Amethyst, please!" Pearl sighed. "She has no idea what that is."

"Ooh! Ooh!" Steven interrupted. "Steven has an idea!"

"What is it, Steven?" Pearl sighs again.

"MORGAN CAN LIVE WITH US!" He smiles and jumps up and down.

"She CAN?!" Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Peridot all gasped at once. 

"Yeah!" Steven smiled. "We can't just leave her here! That would be really mean. We should take her in until she finds a good home! Right, Pearl?"

Pearl, who was caught off guard, blushed light blue. "What...me? I-I-I suppose you're sort of correct, it wouldn't be very nice to leave her. We'll just have to make room for her for now in the barn." 

Peridot groaned. "But the barn is my space!" She complained.

"Well, you're just going to have to learn how to share, Peri!" Amethyst snorted. Peridot muttered something that sounded pretty foul underneath her breath.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!" I squealed. "You guys are the best!"

"You are very welcome!" Steven smiled and stood up. "Come on! Let's get to the barn!"

Then, he grabbed me by the hand. The one with the birthmark. He gasped and let go when he felt it. "What's that on your hand, Morgan?" He asked, eyes wide.

I jerked my hand behind my back where they couldn't see it, suddenly feeling self-conscious. "It-it's just m-my birthmark." I blushed. "I was born with it...."

"Ooh...lemme see!" Amethyst came running over to me, trying to grab my arm.

"Come on," I blushed even redder, and put it farther behind my back. "I never notice it...It's not like it's anything to really worry about...I-"

"Morgan," Pearl cut in after Steven whispered something in her ear. "Show me your...er....birthmark." I hesitated. "NOW." She added.

"I-I don't see what's the big deal...." I reluctantly pulled my hand out and gave it to Pearl. To my surprise, once they inspected my birthmark, they all gasped. Peridot even screamed.

"She's a GEM!" Peridot yelled, running her fingers nervously though her triangle-shaped hair. "I knew it...something was up with her...Aaah!" She muttered to herself.

"I'm a what?" I asked, very astonished that they had reacted that way. I mean, it was only a birthmark. I didn't see what was the big deal. Besides, they all had it too!

Steven, looking very nervous, said to me, "Morgan, if you could excuse me, I kind of need to talk with Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Peridot real quick...." He turned around and huddled with the four other strange girls and they exchanged nervous whispers. I stood and waited patiently. Finally they all turned around.

Garnet took a deep breath in. "Okay, Morgan. This is going to come as a shock to you, but you are a gem. This means you are-"

"PART OF THE FAMILY!" Steven cut in, interrupting Garnet. Garnet's jaw dropped open. "You're my....long lost...." Steven looked up at the other four girls, who looked pretty surprised and horrified. "Cousin..." He croaked.

"REALLY?!" I gasped, suddenly feeling extremely excited.

Pearl bit her lip. "Why....yes..." She strained, "I suppose you are....." She said reluctantly. 

"Oh dear." She added.
