Traps

"Ok, so which one of you bastards do I have to beat up for tricking me?" Monoma strides in the bar, looking harried and still in his uniform.

Kurogiri looks up from his magazine and sighs.

"This quirk doesn't work! The deal is off if I can't save Itsuka, you bastards—" Monoma starts ranting.

"Oh yeah, that," Shigaraki walks out of a room distractedly.

"Don't you eve-" the angry hero bursts.

"So we're not actually stupid like you thought. In the injection, we included an obedience serum. If you're planning on going back in time and never making the deal with us, your new quirk won't activate. A part of your brain under our control stops it," he sits down on one of the bar stools as he starts.

Monoma tried to say something but he continues, "And when I said the quirk can turn back time, I meant it can turn back time on an object or person temporarily.  It's actually a knock-off of Eri's. That kid you stole it from was a failed clone. You can turn back up to a year's worth of their time, but you can keep doing it once the time is up."

"Ok so, what the actual f-" Monoma then unleashed a flurry of swear words, some of which impressed even the villains, and I'm pretty sure one of them took notes.

"Could you repeat, like, the third to the last word you said? I've never heard that swear word before, is it foreign?" Toga asks in fascination as she walks in, hands bloody.

"You done, sailor boy?" Kurogiri sighs again as he gets up from his seat after noticing the vein popping on the high schooler's head from Toga's question.

"I swear to everything that's holy, which is basically just Kendo, I am going to destroy all of you once this is over! Seriously, you think Kendo's not gonna kill me for doing this?" Said high schooler waved his arms around in a comical manner.

"Seems like a you problem," Shigaraki responded, the expression in his face hidden by the hand he usually wore.

Monoma let out a strangled scream before marching out, presumably back to the dorms.

"Ok. So. First thing I have to do is find out where they took Kendo..." Monoma muses as he walks up the stairs to his dorm room.

He was so deep in thought that he almost didn't notice Pony waiting at the top of the stairs with Tetsutetsu.

"Monoma," came the gravelly voice of the injured boy.

"Yes?" He looked up and smiled.

"Are you done?" Pony pointedly stared at him.

"With what?" He tilted his head a bit to the side.

"Acting like a kid whose toy was stolen from him. We need a leader. You're the President now, aren't you?" Tetsutetsu's words were harsh but there was no malice in them, only understanding.

"...I'm sorry." Was all Monoma said before walking off to find Setsuna who happened to be in charge of the funerals, quite a grim job for someone who used to be so cheery, you'd expect that it would have been Reiko instead.

Setsuna looked up from a pile of papers with a face that was far too tired to be a seventeen year old's.

"You want to know where she was taken and if the wake was already held, right?" She sighed a bit as she rearranged the papers in her hands.

"Well, yeah."

"I'm under strict order from the Senseis not to inform you until they're sure you're stable. Sorry. It's not my fault they think you'll go berserk and I dunno steal her body or something."

Monoma blinked.

"It didn't exactly help that you hid her corpse in your room, you know."

Monoma wanted to slam his fists into her desk and yell at her, but something told him that that would only prove that he was crazy, which, by the way, he probably was not.

"Setsuna-chan. I just want to see her one last time. I've got my act together, now. I just want to tell her that you're all in good hands..." Monoma sighed as he looked down at her with glassy eyes.

Setsuna, alarmed that he might actually cry, blurted out, "Ah. Well, I'll see what I can do..."

Monoma managed a weak smile and a "Thank you." Before leaving to go to his room.

Once he had all but collapsed in a heap on his bed, his mind started running at a hundred miles an hour.

"Ah. My brain is too scattered. I need something to calm me..." he turned on some music and went to his mini fridge to get some grape juice which he then poured into an actual wine glass.

He chuckled when he remembered Kendo scolding him because she thought it was wine and him drinking that during middle school scared her.

"Hm? If I've known Kendou since middle school, how did I never let it slip back then that my Uncle was All For One? Damn, I must have been awesome," He mused after he took a few sips.

After he finished his juice he placed the wine glass on his desk and changed from his school uniform into something a bit more comfortable.

"It'll take too long to convince Setsuna. I'll just have to steal the records once everyone is asleep," he thinks as he buttons up his grey cardigan.

"Well...while waiting...I better practice this quirk. Objects first..." He rummages around his backpack that was at the foot of his bed and fished out his wallet.

He takes an old coin and places it on his bed, kneeling down at the side of his bed to stare at it.

He holds out his hand over it and closes his eyes as he tries to focus on 'being obedient' and 'willing it to go back'.

A few moments pass without him feeling anything but eventually it feels like something cold is flowing out of the coin and into his hand. He opens his eyes once the sensation is over and turns the coin over in his hand.

Upon close observation, the coin did have less rust on it, but Monoma had no idea how much time he had actually turned back.

"Hm? What object will it be obvious? How much time I turned back...oh! That's it!" He mused for a bit before jumping up to head out and fetch poor Shoda's diary.
