It sure has been a while since I updated this and I cannot apologise enough for that.

I've been pretty relaxed recently and that makes me feel bad, since I haven't used that time to write. I've been getting so much feedback, lots of regular votes and people adding this story to reading lists, it's just so nice.

It's Christmas coming up (duh) and as much as I want to write a chapter for Christmas, I just can't...

Here's why:

I am lazy, but the actual thing is, I don't want to rush things!

This story is the most popular out of the other stories I have, I prioritise writing this one first.

The thing is with oneshots, I can just write them pretty quickly, they don't have to be really well though out or detailed, they can just be short and fluffy, which is quite relaxing to write so I DON'T KNOW WHY I DON'T DO THAT xD And other stories too, I enjoy writing, but I don't put as much effort into those stories as I do with this one.

The point is, is that I don't want to write some half-assed chapter 9, publish it and expect for you guys to love it. To be satisfied with this story, I have to watch Death Note episodes that the chapter will be based in and write down EVERYTHING. Dialogue, actions, scenery, everything! Well, only from the scenes that (Y/n) would be in, but it's still a lot! Just so I can get this story to be accurate and detailed.

I want to put so much effort in and recently I've really got into the frame of mind to write again. But there are things I HAVE to do in real life, leading up to, during and after Christmas. So I just can't bring myself to stress and rush a new chapter that isn't even half as good as the others.

I will only write before Christmas if I have completed tasks that I really need to do with time to spare. I have to draw 2 Christmas cards from scratch for some family members and I want to put a lot of effort into that, because they're my family and I need to try for them. So that takes priority, no matter how long it takes.

During Christmas I have a LOT of socialising to do, no time for writing.

After Christmas, there's thank you letters, New Year and I'll start school again shortly after 2017 begins (Yet with school, I only have a lot of time at home in the afternoon, I can relax and do whatever I want, so writing can be pretty organised if I'm completely relaxed after school. Strange, huh?).

Once I've gotten a lot of mandatory things out of the way, I will write down the necessary notes of Death Note episodes, then writing will commence.

I appreciate your patience, it means a lot that you guys aren't demanding, it's keeping my stress levels down :)

Not much longer my dear readers, chapter 9 is very close indeed...
