"Avoiding me?" He crosses his arms as he stands in front of the doorway with a smirk.
'Shit' I think mentally and scold myself for letting him corner me.
I scoff. "What are you talking about? Of course not."
"Time to end your little game." He beckons for me to follow him.
"Dei...I don't think that's a good idea." I bite my lip apologetically.
He sighs. "Please Nioki, I just need you to see this. This means more than i can explain."
I walk to my closet. "I can't Dei...I'm sorry." I pause, letting him process. "Hidan is waiting...we have a date."
"Oh, I-I didnt know. Well I had better let you get on with your business."
"What about after?" I pick out my outfit, placing it on my bed.
He shakes his head. "It's okay."
I frown. "But you said -"
"Don't worry about it, you have a date to get ready for." He winks and walks out without another word.

"Nioki, did you hear me?"
I blink myself back into reality. "Um. Yeah?" I clear my throats and say it again but this time more confidently. "I heard you. That's awesome!"
He frowns. "They tried to kill me."
I bite my lip and smile, feigning innocence. "I knew that." He gives me a look and I sigh. "I'm sorry. I'm just confused."
He furrows his eyebrows. "Do I need to tell it again?"
I laugh half heartedly. "That's not what I meant...I'm just confused about everything. I was only trying to think."
He rests his face in his palm. "About Deidara you mean."
"Hidan...you know it's not-"
He shakes his head. "No I don't know that it's 'not like that.' All I know is that you told me you wanted this, that you were mine, yet you've always got one foot out the door." He pushes out his chair, getting up from the table and walking away, pausing for only a second. "I need space. And so do you."
I run my hand through my hair, groaning in frustration. What have I done now?

'Knock knock.'
I hear footsteps and the click of a lock before the door swings open. "Yes?" She slowly closes her mouth and looks down at the ground after realizing it was me at the door. 
We both try to speak at the same time and laugh softly.
"You go first." She says and pushes her hair behind her ear.
"I'm officially the worst person ever." I roll my eyes before continuing. "I ruin my friendship over a guy and then get another guy and ruin our date by thinking about the first guy." I exhale with a huff. "Wow, I'm pathetic." I look at Tukiko, as I bite my lip to hold back tears. "But mostly, I've been thinking about everything and realized how much I miss having my best friend...how much i miss having you around..."
She smiles as tears roll down her cheeks. "Ni..." She bursts into my arms, hugging me tightly. I could hear her crying but feel her smile behind it all. "I am so so sorry."
I shake my head. "It's okay."
She pulls away. "I never got to explain everything to you. I was afraid you wouldn't listen. So here's my chance to clear everything up." She wipes her tears away and leads me inside, sitting on the couch.

*Deidara's POV*
'Knock knock'
There's shuffling before the door opens, revealing Hidan. "What the hell do you want Barbie." It wasn't intended as a question, more of an aggravated acknowledgement of my presence.
I smirk. "I just thought I'd let you know that you haven't won yet."
Hidan narrows his eyes. "And what the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"I'm in love with Nioki and I'm willing to do anything to have her heart, fully, to myself."
"Is that a fucking threat," he pauses, letting me take in the tone of his words, "Barbie?" He asks with edge.
"Perhaps. All I'm saying is that I intend on letting her know just how I feel."
Anger flares up in his eyes, more than I've ever seen before. "I'm only going to fucking say this ONCE and I need you to listen, listen damn well. You need to stay the hell away from Nioki. That's your first warning."
I narrow my eyes. "And if I don't?"
Hidan walks towards me slowly and before I realize what is happening, his fist is making contact with my face and a dagger is in my stomach. He smirks. "Oh did I forget to mention that is warning number two? The last warning you will get." And with that, the door was slammed in my face.
