CHAPTHER 8

"How do you know about Adam" I asked in a panicked tone. I was trying not to show how that name affected me.

"Kat told me not blame you for how you treat me because it was not my fault but Adam's. Which leads me t believe there's a story." He looked at me expectantly. Waiting for me to tell him.

"It's none of your business and I don't want to talk about it." I gave him a look not to push it. We fell into a silence and didn't even realize when I feel asleep. I woke up to loud music bluring music. It was coming from the kitchen. seeing it was a Jason song it was either Kahlan or Kat and seeing Kahlan cannot even boil water on the stove it was obviously Kat. I walked inside to see Kat flipping a pancake.

"You are finally awake. Someone had a good night" she wriggled her eyebrows with a smile. I just rolled my eyes at her.

"ooh you  made pancakes. I love you." I took three and placed it on my plate and put some syrup on it.

"Please don't tell me nothing happened between you and Jason" She put the last pancake on her place and sit beside me.

"What do you mean?"

"I force myself to sleep at 7pm for you two and nothing happened? Not even a kiss?"

"Woah there Kat you do know that the thing between us is fake right? We are not even friends. That reminds me why did you tell him about Adam?"

"Because I didn't want to him to think you are a bad person because of how you treat him." She defended.

"Who cares if he thinks the worst of me?"

"I do. Mandy Jason likes you and he is a great guy  regardless of him being a star."

"That is absurd. We barely even see each other. Did he even tell you that himself?"

I knew Kat had a vivid imagination but this is just crazy.There is no way someone like Jason would really like me. Past experiences has taught me.

"No he didn't. But he didn't have to because his eyes said everything when he spoke of you."

Before I could say anything my phone started ringing. I checked to see that it was Jason. I answered

"What!"

"Woah. what did I do now? Is it that time of the month?"

"Jason I am not in the mood for this. I'm hanging up"

"No wait! I'm sorry. I left my phone at your place and you please bring it over to my place. And you cant say no cause you owe me one for the movie night"

Of course he would use that against me.

"Fine. I'll bring it right over" I hanged up.

"I'm going over to Jason's. He left his phone. See you at school."

I found his phone on the couch. I freshen up and took the bus to his hotel since I don't have a car or know how to drive. From the bus stop to his hotel was like a twenty minutes walk. I got down from the bus to see dark clouds forming. I was barely two minutes into my walk when it started raining heavily. Just my luck. I was dripping wet when I got to the hotel. The receptionist looked at me with disgust on her face. Like I liked walking around in wet clothes. I knocked on the door to Jason's pent house. He opened after the second and looked at my wet self with amusement in his eyes.

'What happened to you?"

"Let's see I am dripping wet and its raining cats and dogs outside. if you put two and two together what do you get?" I asked in a sickly sweet voice.

"Four" he joked.

"unbelievable. Here take your stupid phone." I threw his phone to his chest and he caught it. I turned to leave but he stopped me by holding my hands.

"Amanda i'm sorry. I shouldn't have made fun of you. Thanks for bringing my phone. Its still raining. Come inside till the rain stops. That's the least I can do." he pleaded.

"Fine" I gave in and he opened the door widely for me. His room was amazing and shockingly neat.

"But first you need to change out of those wet clothes or you'll get sick." He entered his room and got me a large t-shirt."This will do"

"Thanks." I whispered softly and took it. He pointed to a room and asked me to change there. I got out of my wet clothes and put on his shirt which ended mid thigh. I removed the band from my hair to let it fall so it can dry easily. I walked into the living room to see Jason flipping through the channels. H e turned to face me immediately I entered. He looked stunned.

"Wow you wear my shirt better than I do." he looked at me from head to toe." Nice legs."

"Keep your eyes up perve." I said while snapping my fingers at him. He just laughed it off. I took a seat beside him on the couch and covered my thighs with one of the throw pillows. He had his guitar by his side and a music sheet beside him.

"Writing a new songs?" I picked up his guitar.

"Yeah. I plan to release a new album after I am done with the movie I am shooting."

I just nodded to that and star playing on some string on his guitar.

"You play?"

"Yeah. Uh a friend taught me to play years ago."

"I didn't see you as some who even enjoyed listening to music because of your strong dislike for artist"

"well I love to listen to artist worth listening to. just so you know I used to sing a little too."

"No way. o.k play me something"

I was about to refuse but I didn't. For a just a minute I wanted to let my guard down and let the old Amanda suffice. I started to play 'Everything has change' by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.

He even sang Ed's part and it felt great to sing with someone again. We both had smiles on our faces after we were done.

"Wow. you have an amazing voice!" He exclaimed. My smile faded and I felt my wall coming back up.

"Well whatever. I think I have to go now."

"The rain hasn't stopped yet."

"Its getting late and my mum will be coming back today. She would never let me stay he-" The ringing of my phone cut me off. I checked to see my mother calling.

"Hey mum I already on my way."

"You still at Jason's right?"

"yeah."

"Good stay there"

"What?"

"Its still raining like crazy. I was lucky to get here just in time before it started."

"So you want me t stay here. alone. in a boy's house? a boy I am dating?" I emphasized to get her to get my point"

"I know it sounds bad but I trust you so I am not worried. I ll see you tomorrow dear. love you."

"But m-" she hanged up. I slowly dropped the phone from my ears.

"You were saying? Jason asked with a triumphant smile on his face.
