“Yeonjun, tell me honestly if you did this.” Taehyung asked.

“Hyung you know me you know I am not that cheap.” Yeonjun exclaimed.

“But you do things like this under Soobin’s influence.” Taehyung reported but Yeonjun shook his head.

“I did, I love Somi. I know what type of girl she is and I would never hurt her. And it was Soobin, I saved Somi from him. And she misunderstood me.” Yeonjun told Taehyung everything. Taehyung does know his brother.

Taehyung nodded his head. “Do you have any proof that Soobin was involved?”

“Sadly not, but please Hyung I want Soobin's true face to be revealed, I don't want to be a villain in front of Somi.” Yeonjun said. “I really love her, and it's hurt you know, I saved her and she put the blame on me instead.”

Taehyung felt bad for Yeonjun, He knows Soobin always uses Yeonjun and causes trouble for him. “Don't worry, I will not let Soobin take advantage of you this time.”

“Hyung, are you serious? You want to convince Somi that Yeonjun is innocent? Then she will doubt me.” Soobin said.

“You said she trusts you enough that she will never doubt you, if I am not wrong?” Jungkook exclaimed.

“But I want her to hate Yeonjun.” Soobin said.

“There are a lot of ways for her to make her hate Yeonjun other than me. Taehyung is trying to prove Yeonjun innocent and I am afraid that you might get exposed. And you know what will happen if you do.” Jungkook said, Soobin nodded his head. He knows if Jungkook is telling him to do something he should do it without questioning it.

"Somi," Soobin said, his voice low and urgent.

Somi shrank away, tears welling up.

“Why didn't you text me or call me when he came there? You should have texted me instead of going with him alone, I know it wasn't your fault but you should not trust anyone except me.” Soobin exclaimed.

“I should have, I couldn't believe Yeonjun could do that.” Somi exclaimed.

“He didn't, I know Yeonjun, he saved you.” Soobin said.

“What do you mean?” Somi sit up.

“Do you remember him doing anything?” Soobin asked

“He confessed and I left the car. And then when I wake up-”

“See, there is no prove Yeonjun did anything to you.”

“But he is saying you did,” Somi said.

“You know I can't? Yeonjun must have made a mistake, but I just want you to know that it wasn't Yeonjun or me.”

Soobin stared at her face, she looks confused now.

"Don't be scared, Somi," Soobin whispered, his eyes filled with concern. "I'm here for you."

Soobin's gaze softened, his voice taking on a gentle tone.

"You must be feeling disgusted, hurt...and scared. Let me help you, Somi. I can make you feel better."

Somi's eyes searched Soobin's, uncertainty written across her face.

"Trust me, Somi," Soobin coaxed. "I'll make Yeonjun pay for what he's done," Soobin vowed, his voice dripping venom.

As Soobin pulled Somi into a comforting embrace, he kissed her neck leaving marks over the existing old hickeys.

“Soobin stop,” She said, still traumatized by what happened.

“You will feel better trust me.”

“What do you mean you can't arrest him?” Y/n asked.

“There is not enough evidence for us to do so.” The police officer said.

“That is why I want you to investigate and find the clues.” Y/n said, the police nodded their heads.

“We are trying,” They gave no proper reply to Y/n. Y/n decided to take the matter in her own hands, she contacted her old friend who is a reporter and has connections that might be useful.

She went to the office, Taehyung came to her. “Good morning.”

“Why is your brother not in jail?” Y/n asked.

“There is not enough proof that he did it.” Taehyung replied.

“My sister confirms that you think she is lying?” Y/n asked.

“No, just give me one day, okay? I promised the person who did that will be in jail.” Taehyung said, he hold her hand. “You gave me this chance I will not disappoint you.”

She nodded her head. “I hope you don't.”

Taehyung told Yeonjun to talk to Y/n,and except for putting the blame on Soobin, on which they don't have any proof right now. Taehyung told Yeonjun to simply tell what happened and cleared his side.

And that's why Yeonjun did. He went to Y/n and told her that he did nothing. And Somi misunderstood him. Y/n had doubts but she didn't say anything. Because Yeonjun looked sincere as if he was telling the truth.

She started rethinking, maybe Taehyung is right, his brother looked innocent. 

Taehyung came to her. “Y/n, I never want to hurt you ever, and everything In Front of you now. Give me some time, I will prove the real culprit too.”

She nodded her head. “I have talked to Somi and she said the same.,” Somi said she doesn't know, it wasn't Yeonjun. “I am sorry for being rude to you.”

Taehyung smiled, he held her hand. “I feel like everything is going out of my plans, did I get my last chance?”

Y/n hugged him then she started crying. Taehyung panicked and asked what happened. “Tell me what happened?”

“Why did you lie to me? It sucks to be away from you, I love you so much.”, she exclaimed, making Taehyung smile a little, he hugged her back tightly.

“I am sorry, I will never lie to you again.” Taehyung exclaimed.

She placed her head over his shoulder. “You should not, please never lie again.”

“I will never, I promise.”

“Jungkook,” Taehyung's mom came inside, she looked furious at him. “What is happening, Yeonjun, how dare that girl blame my son?”

“Aunt, come sit. I was about to come to you.” Jungkook said, and held her hand but she shook him off.

“Are you insane? I will end her whole family.” She said,

“ Don't you think it's crazy how one sister trapped one son and then the other put such allegations on your younger son?” Jungkook said he made her sit on the couch.

“If you think Y/n is out of Taehyung's mind and life she hasn't she is still there.” Jungkook said. “You can't get her out of his mind or life, but we can do something that will make her out of his reach.”

“How?”she asked.

“I want you to go to her house and ask for her hand in marriage for me.” Jungkook exclaimed. His aunt was surprised.

“You want to marry her? What? And why would I be the one to do that?”

Jungkook sighed. “She trapped me too. I can't get her out of my head. And I am not like Taehyung, I can handle her. Taehyung deserves a nice girl. Someone who meets his standards.”

“You deserve better than her too.” She said,

“I know, but it's temporary. It's not like I want her forever, I just want to take revenge from her for all the things she has done to me and then I will leave her after making her suffer.” Jungkook lied to her.

“Why would I let that woman be in my house and hurt my son more?” She exclaimed.

“Taehyung needs to see her true face and I promise they will hate each other. I don't have my mother with me, and I don't trust my father enough. It's only you, so I want you to talk to Y/n’s parents first.”

“I can't talk to them right now while all the things are happening.”

“No, it is the time, her parents don't have a clue of what is going on. Also you want to apologize to her parents first for your rude behavior.”

“What? I will never apologize. The choice is yours, you can apologize now or regret it because you couldn't get Taehyung out of Y/n’s life.” Jungkook said. She was silent. “I want you to take grandma with you, Y/n will not agree if you tell her that it's for me but I know you can handle this situation.”

Taehyung's mom understands that Jungkook is doing this just to marry Y/n, and he does not really care about Taehyung or Yeonjun. But if Jungkook ends up marrying Y/n, Taehyung will hate Jungkook forever.

“Jungkook wants to marry someone? I am so happy! I am worried because he always says he doesn't want to marry anyone.” The grandma said.

“I am going with you as Jungkook's mother, he is my son too. And I want the best for him.

Taehyung's mother and grandmother arrived at Y/n's house.

Y/n's mother greeted them warmly, but she didn't like Taehyung's mother being here after what happened last time. "Please, have a seat."

Taehyung's mother rose from her seat, her eyes locking onto Y/n. "May I speak with Y/n alone for a moment?"

Y/n's mother nodded, exiting the room with Taehyung's grandmother.

Taehyung's mother's expression softened. "Y/n, I apologize for my behavior last time. My words were unjust and hurtful."

Y/n's guard remained up, but she nodded. "Thank you for acknowledging that."

Taehyung's mother took a deep breath. "I also apologize to your father. My actions were unacceptable.”

Y/n's expression eased, her voice gentle. "Thank you. That means a lot."

Taehyung's mother's eyes sparkled with determination. "Y/n, I misunderstood but after talking to Taehyung and what he told me about you, I knew you were special. Will you grant me the honor of welcoming you into our family?"

Y/n's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?"

She smiled. “Come, let's talk with everyone.”

They went to the room where everyone was, and there she spoke again. “I want to apologize you, there was a huge misunderstanding when last time we met.”

She looked at the grandma, “Mom, have you talked to them? We should leave now.”

“Leave? Already? I haven't even seen her properly.” Grandma holds Y/n’s hand. “Oh honey, I am so happy that my grandchild wants to marry you.”

Y/n smiled, their grandma is actually nice. But she has no plan for marriage. “I am happy that you came all the way, but I am not ready marriage.”

The grandma's expression changed, “Is there any reason why?”

Y/n shrugged her shoulders. Taehyung and her have barely solved their problems.

“Eomma, She doesn't like our family.” Taehyung's mother said in a little way, she smiled.

“No, it's not that.” Y/n said.

The grandma held her hand tightly. “I don't know much, but I know you and Jungkook didn't get along at the start. But look at the things now, he himself said that he wants to marry-”

“He wants you in our family.” Taehyung's mom interrupted.

Y/n went to her room. Her mother tried to talk to but her father stopped her, “Its better not to talk, she said she is not ready for marriage, it's her decision anyway.”

“Yes, but I am confused they asked for Jungkook, I thought,  feel like she has heard from Somi and Yeji about Taehyung but now I can't remember. The last time when she came to our house she was talking about her son?”

“She consider Jungkook her son, but leave her it really not matter. Y/n said she doesn't want to marry so thjs conversation ends here.”

Y/n was in her, Y/n's voice trembled over the phone. "Taehyung, your mom came to my house today."

~Taehyung's tone shifted from casual to alert. "What happened? Did she do something again?”

Y/n took a deep breath. "She apologized to my parents for what she said last time. Did you send her? You want to marry me?”

~“What?” Taehyung asked.

“Why didn't you talk to me first? It was a surprise.”

~Taehyung's pause was palpable. "I'll talk to my mom."

"Taehyung, wait—"

~”I will call you later.” He hung up and quickly find his mom.

"Mom, what's going on? Y/n said you went to her house and asked for her hand in marriage," Taehyung demanded.

His mother's calm voice soothed his concerns. "Taehyung, I know I've made mistakes in the past, but this time I want to help you. I see how much you love Y/n, and I want you to be happy."

Taehyung didn't believe her. "And suddenly you're okay with us?"

"Taehyung, I've been watching you. You're different around Y/n. You're genuinely happy. I want that for you," his mother explained. “When I marry your father, appa only said one thing to me that I will say to you too. Parents only wants the best, it's your own choice Taehyung, I told you the possibility and it's you responsibility if you get hurt.”

Taehyung's resolve softened. "Thank you, Mom. This means everything."

"Make Y/n happy, Taehyung. That's all I ask."

Taehyung strolled into the of Y/n focused on her work, trying to ignore Taehyung's looming presence.

"Morning, fiancée," Taehyung whispered, his breath tickling her ear.

Y/n's cheeks flushed. "Don't call me that."

Taehyung chuckled. "Why not? My mom and grandma already asked your parents."

Y/n turned, her eyes narrowing. "I haven't accepted the proposal yet."

Taehyung's grin faltered for a moment before he recovered. "You haven't refused it either."

Y/n rolled her eyes with a smile. "That's not the same thing."

Taehyung leaned against her desk, his eyes sparkling. "I'm choosing to see it as a positive sign."

Y/n sighed, attempting to hide her smile. "You're impossible."

Taehyung's voice dropped to a whisper. "And you're going to marry me."

Y/n's face warmed, her pulse racing. "Maybe."

Taehyung's eyes crinkled at the corners. "I'll take that as a yes."

Jungkook saw the couple being all cute. He chuckled, he wanted Taehyung's mom to directly talk to Y/n but he is impressed that she created more misunderstanding now. Time for everything between Taehyung and Y/n to end for all. He texted someone.

Y/n's phone buzzed with an incoming call from her reporter friend, Jiho. Y/n forgot that she even contacted her weeks ago to ask for help.

~"Y/n, I've got something," Jiho said, voice low and urgent. "I managed to get my hands on some internal police documents."

Y/n's curiosity piqued. "What is it?"

Y/n knew Jiho would be a brilliant help, she knows things before the police.

~"The footage of Somi getting out of Yeonjun's car? It exists," Jiho revealed. "But here's the kicker: Kim Taehyung paid the police to delete it from evidence."

Y/n's eyes widened in outrage. "What?!"

She couldn't believe it and she wanted to confront Taehyung.

Her mind racing, Y/n stormed out of her office, determined to confront Taehyung.

She burst into Taehyung's office,

"You paid the police to delete the footage?" Y/n demanded, her voice trembling.

Taehyung's expression remained unruffled. "Y/n, I—"

"Don't even try to justify it!" Y/n cut in, anger boiling over. "You tampered with evidence, Taehyung! Somi deserves justice."

Taehyung's eyes narrowed. "I did it to protect Yeonjun. And Somi."

Y/n's disgust deepened. "Protect Yeonjun? After what he did?"

Taehyung's voice took on a warning tone. “The footage doesn't prove that Yeonjun did anything. Yeonjun said he didn't,”

“Just because your brother said he didn't. Do you trust him blindly? Then why did hide that footage of Yeonjun did nothing?” Y/n asked.

"Y/n, you don't understand—"

"I understand perfectly," Y/n spat. "You're covering up for Yeonjun's crimes. And using your influence to silence the truth. You are just like the men I hate, Taehyung."

“Y/n listen to me,”

"This isn't over, Taehyung," she vowed.

Y/n left the office. She went out to the balcony. She started crying. She was disappointed at Taehyung, how he can lie to her so many times and now he even covers up his brother’s crimes. That made him the bad guy in front of her.

Someone gave her a napkin and she looked up and saw Jungkook standing near her. “You cry a lot these days, it doesn't suit you.”

She took the napkin and wiped her tears. “I don't think I can work here any longer. I can't wait for another job.”

“Did anything happen? I heard about what happened through Soobin,”  Jungkook said.

“Honestly I don't trust Soobin too.”

“Somi changed him, he really loves her.” Jungkook replied.

“No girl can change a man, especially fuckboys. I doubt if he is any different.” Y/n said.

“You are right, no girl can change a man, but trust me a man can change himself when he really wants to for someone they really love.” Jungkook said while smiling, he never imagined himself changing but now he wants to do better, become a better man for her. He wants to be perfect for her. “But If Soobin hurt your sister, I promise I will whip his ass.”

“You sure? You will not be like Taehyung and hide evidence if your brother is involved?” Y/n asked. And Jungkook made a surprised face as if he knew nothing.

“Taehyung what?”

Y/n nodded her head. “Now, see Yeonjun is out roaming freely,”

“I can't believe this. I knew for Taehyung his brother and mother are everything but this is too much.” Jungkook said.

“He chose his family over justice and me.”

Jungkook would always choose her over everyone. 

“I can't let that happen, I will help you,” he said.

“Will you? Yeonjun is your cousin. He is your family too.” Y/n replied.

“I think it's my responsibility as an elder brother to teach them right?” Jungkook said. “If you want Yeonjun in jail, that will happen.”

“It's fine, you don't have to, there is truly not enough evidence to prove Yeonjun did anything. It's Taehyung that disappointed me again."
